We have been in Cinque Terre for 4 nights now and this by far my favorite restaurant. Yes it's in Corniglia which is now my favorite town too. Yes you have to work to get up to the town. This restaurant is at the top of the stairs leading to the train station. Take the shuttle from the train if you don't want to walk it. Make a reservation in advanced and ask to be seated on the terrace for amazing views under shady olive trees. The entire ambiance is amazing and the food was great. Service was excellent as well. Maybe you will get lucky like we were to also be serenaded by the local doves. Enjoy and relax here!!! Great last night in Cinque Terre

I can't say enough about this restaurant. The stunning views had all of us mesmerized and then they topped that with spectacular food and amazing service! Every bit of what we ate was absolutely delicious! Make a reservation and stop there if you're in Cinque Terre. Well worth it.

5 Terre has no shortage of very good places to eat. Finding a great place with amazing views is hard. La Posada has both. Excellent food, amazing views and professional service staff. If you are not staying in Corniglia I still recommend the train and then the bus transfer to get to La Posada. Sunset is not to be missed !

Arguably one of the best views in Cinque Terre! This area feels like an underrated gem. The wine and food was delicious, the view was beautiful, and the ambiance was romantic but also laid back. You will need to reserve a table the day before.

Outdoor dining. Bright but not too bright. Lovely ambiance.

We've tried numerous restaurants in Corniglia, but this one was by far the best. We stumbled upon it only because we walked up the stairs from the train station, saw it, and immediately made reservations. Yes, you really should get a reservation, especially during the busy season. We got one for the next day, and they had 9:30 available. That's a bit late for us, but it was worth it. We got there about ten minutes early, and were seated right away. About two tables were seated after we were, so it was still busy. The ambiance is lovely. Loved the trees with the light globes. This is a quiet, romantic place, with an amusing cat that wanders back and forth between tables and sits near a patrons chair. Nope, the cat does not rub up against anyone, which is good because I'm very allergic to cats. He/she just wandered about, taking a moment here and there to sit and ponder life. Our meal and food was amazing. Seafood is perfecto. Grigliata mista (prawns, langoustine, calamari, fish) was superb. The Corniglia bruschetta of anchovies, tomatoes, and olives fresh and tasty. The caprese is outstanding. The Trenette with pesto, potatoes, green beans is by far my favorite pasta dish during my past eight days in Italy. But the surprising gem is the biscotti (cantucci) with a very regional dessert wine, Sciacchetra, and this was the most amazing show stopper. I had to buy a bottle of this wine in Cinque Terre to bring back with me. It is robust and powerful, a bit sweet, but is tempered beautifully by the perfect almond biscotti. Limoncello with the the lemon pie was also one of the best in Italy so far. Make the reservation. This is a quiet, romantic, fantastic place. The food is outstanding. You won't regret it. Native English speakers will get a kick out of the music too, which was non stop covers of English language songs, in English, but with a very smooth, cool, sultry take on the song.

5 stars for the amazing view and 5 stars for the amazing food! This place rests atop the last of the 375 steps on the side of the mountain. If the steps make you tired, power through it because this place is well worth stopping by for lunch and a spritz! My husband and I shared a shrimp pasta and a pesto pasta, and both were amazing. The quality of the fresh pasta was like nothing I've ever had before. Dare I say, some of the best pasta I've had. Definitely stop by this fabulous find!

We had a nice dinner here. There is both indoor seating and outdoor seating on a terrace with a beautiful view facing the ocean. Locals and tourists alike enjoy the garden-like atmosphere outside. We had fried anchovies to start, which were the best we had in Cinque Terre. Our mains were seafood spaghetti and swordfish. Both were quite good, but the portioning was just a bit small for our taste. Service was very attentive, despite the fact that the garden was across the street from their main kitchen. Local wine is served and highly recommended!

Best lunch view in Corniglia. The shrimp and salmon salad was amazing. We spent two hours here for lunch eating good food and drinking wine and beer. A must stop on corniglia.

    BEST pesto dish.

We came in not knowing what to expect--whether it would feel overly touristy or genuinely authentic--but it exceeded every expectation. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome, especially traveling with our young daughter. The class itself was both fun and informative. The owner took the time to explain the history and importance of each fresh ingredient, which made the experience feel meaningful rather than just a cooking demo. What really set this apart was the atmosphere. It was interactive, relaxed, and genuinely joyful--we even found ourselves dancing with our daughter by the end. Enjoying freshly made pesto and burrata while overlooking one of the most stunning views in Cinque Terre made it unforgettable. A special thank you to Michael, who went above and beyond--answering all our questions and sharing great local recommendations, especially for swimming spots. If you're visiting Manarola, this is an absolute must-do experience.

The view alone is insane -- straight-up postcard-level Manarola cliffs and pastel houses glowing in the sun. And then there's the owner, whose energy could power half of Cinque Terre. He literally won this failing spot in a contest and turned it into a full-on experience. Locals may not love that he's a southerner who made it big, but honestly? He's built something incredible. The pesto class is a highlight. You learn exactly where every ingredient comes from, and you realize how tiny an amount of that super-strong garlic you actually need. And smashing basil by hand in a mortar and pestle? Way better than a blender -- you can taste the difference. After class, you're absolutely not leaving hungry. They load you up with wine and a charcuterie board that's basically a meal. And yes -- at some point, you will dance. It's just that kind of place. And the sign you pass on the way in? "Today is a good day to be happy." At Nessun Dorma, it really is.

This a great place to do a little wine tasting and to pick up some wine from the Cinque Terre region. One of the wines we sampled and immediately purchased was the Sciacchetra, a dry dessert wine produced only in the Cinque Terre. I'm not usually a fan of dessert wine, but I enjoyed the Sciacchetra. This wine is not exported out of the area due to the limited production quantity, so you should buy it if you are in the area. Vineria Santa Maria was one of the few places that allowed you to sample the wine for about 9 euro. They offered a bottle for about 33 euro and I noticed that this variety can easy go up to 60 to 80 euro per bottle. You can also purchase other varieties of white wine from Cinque Terre and the surrounding regions as well. If I ever find myself back in Vernazza, I will definitely stop in for more wine from Vineria Santa Maria.

Almost certainly the best you'll get in Riomaggiore while eating. There are 10 tables on the rail with a perfect view to the sea. The sad news is that they don't do reservations anymore so planners don't get a leg up on setting a table aside. The service here was sub-par, but the server was very nice. We started with the cheese plate and some moscato. I didn't like a couple of the cheeses but the wine was great. For dinner, I ended up with the classic lasagna and I thought it was just ho hum. I got to try some of my daughter's pesto and that I found to be better than the lasagna.

They also served olives and focaccia bread. I took off a star because the service structure was confusing to us. There was a sign at the table to order at the bar but then when we went to order at the bar we were told to wait for our server. The server only came around occasionally so service was very slow. This was still however a 4 star review because even with slow service, these views at sunset are hard to beat! This was also a convenient location just up the stairs from the train station.
