Don't let the photo fool you: this pistachio-encrusted tuna steak was enough for 2 people. Huge!

This place was DA BOMB! My wife and I returned here again for a 2nd night. The servers were super fun and cool, and the food was freaking delicious. We couldn't believe that there wasn't a longer line here as many of the other more popular/well-known restaurants in Monterosso all had at least hour long waits with tourists standing outside getting hungry and cranky on a weekend night. We were seated right away here and all our entree's and apps were great: from the octopus salad to the tuna steak and pesto lasagna and tiramisu for dessert. I think I even got a couple free shots of grappa and limoncello at the end. One of the more memorable meals we had during our 2 wks in Italy.

Great little place with very trendy decor. Food and service was great. We enjoyed a sampling of fresh regional seafood and beer.

Great food and settings, must try the seared scallop salad. Most importantly the restroom is clean.

Great food and settings, hidden in the alleyway, away from all the tourists, must try the seared scallop salad. Most importantly the restroom is extremely clean.

I looked up directions to get there and we headed there for lunch. Getting seated wasn't an issue and we chose a table on the town side with views of the beach and harbor. I think there are seats on the ocean side but I didn't make it over there. The host and servers were friendly enough and nice to us but I could see how they could be cold to some self absorbed tourists. Do better and learn some Italian... As with the other comments the menu has some interesting wording about ordering an appetizer and a 90 euro limit. We did not order an appetizer but did get a couple of drinks each and a pasta dish each. The muscle gnocchi and pesto pasta. Both were good but I would not put them at the top of my food list while visiting Cinque Terre... We were not forced to order the starter and I did not see the bread charge on our bill, I also cant comment on the 90 euro min as we were just over that. Overall the seating and view was awesome, that was worth the visit for me alone. You can find better food in town.

We came in not knowing what to expect--whether it would feel overly touristy or genuinely authentic--but it exceeded every expectation. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome, especially traveling with our young daughter. The class itself was both fun and informative. The owner took the time to explain the history and importance of each fresh ingredient, which made the experience feel meaningful rather than just a cooking demo. What really set this apart was the atmosphere. It was interactive, relaxed, and genuinely joyful--we even found ourselves dancing with our daughter by the end. Enjoying freshly made pesto and burrata while overlooking one of the most stunning views in Cinque Terre made it unforgettable. A special thank you to Michael, who went above and beyond--answering all our questions and sharing great local recommendations, especially for swimming spots. If you're visiting Manarola, this is an absolute must-do experience.

The view alone is insane -- straight-up postcard-level Manarola cliffs and pastel houses glowing in the sun. And then there's the owner, whose energy could power half of Cinque Terre. He literally won this failing spot in a contest and turned it into a full-on experience. Locals may not love that he's a southerner who made it big, but honestly? He's built something incredible. The pesto class is a highlight. You learn exactly where every ingredient comes from, and you realize how tiny an amount of that super-strong garlic you actually need. And smashing basil by hand in a mortar and pestle? Way better than a blender -- you can taste the difference. After class, you're absolutely not leaving hungry. They load you up with wine and a charcuterie board that's basically a meal. And yes -- at some point, you will dance. It's just that kind of place. And the sign you pass on the way in? "Today is a good day to be happy." At Nessun Dorma, it really is.
