When I mentioned my surprise to the bartender, he smiled and explained that Anthony Bourdain had featured Robert et Louise on his show, which brought them international fame. I had no idea when I walked in--it was pure luck. Fame aside, it's easy to see why the restaurant remains so beloved: the food is simple, rustic, and outstanding. I started with escargot, followed by a perfectly cooked steak with roasted potatoes and a crisp green salad.
