So delicious!!! We had tri tip, brisket, and beef rib and for sides smashed potatoes and beans! We absolutely loved the beef rib and brisket ... they were so tender that it just MELTed oh, also I really enjoyed the Paloma Service was great! Friendly staff ... I know tip isn't as customary in France as it is in US but we just had to because it was well deserved! Ambiance was lively! The place was super packed even at 9:00 pm on Wednesday. There was a very short wait for when we got there but well worth the wait for such delicious food!

The entry area where you wait in line to order at the counter. The menu is on the wall.

Ok, this review is from someone who grew up on south central Texas style BBQ. I HAD to try Melt while visiting Paris recently and have to say I walked away a bit disappointed. The ambiance still had the class of Parisian vibes but added some of the rustic qualities from Texas. It was nice. . The service was quick and they were very responsive and kind. My disappointment came with the flavor of the bbq. The brisket had an awesome texture and was moist, as were the ribs BUT they lacked a depth of smoky flavor to them both. They reminded me of a meat cooked in an oven and not with a smoker as is the style in TX. IMO they didn't come close to the Lockhart style of BBQ. I also wish they would've had more of the traditional sides offered.

I can see where Melt gets its name--the food melted in my mouth! I was truly surprised to find such excellent BBQ in France. The smash chili cheese was our favorite, and I enjoyed the brisket immensely. My husband loved the half smoked chicken. It's a very busy place where you order at the counter, take a number, and then find a seat while they bring the food to you. Paying the bill at the end via the app makes it easy to split costs in a group. Highly recommend!

We were craving BBQ when we got to Paris and were surprised to see this place close to our hotel (the restaurant has connections to Pecan Lodge in Dallas). The place is pretty small inside but we were able to get a table quickly. We ordered a variety of items off of the menu and everything tasted fine although the meats were a bit dry. Keep in mind that certain meats sell out pretty quickly and get taken off the menu throughout the day. Overall, this place hit the spot - the service deserves a shout out too!

Pork spare ribs with a side of their delicious smashed potatoes.

Real smoked flavor. I had their spareribs with a side of smashed potatoes with their creamy topping. I highly recommend.

Melt has hands down the best Texas bbq in Paris. The meat is always well smoked and falls right off the bone. The bbq sauce is tangy and delicious and the chili cheese fries are a better quality take on the usual dish with chili made with bbq brisket. The service is pretty good, though you do have to order at the counter before finding a place to sit. The vibes of the restaurant are exactly what you would expect from a bbq restaurant, rustic and casual.

What's Melt? Well, it's a Texas BBQ that's as big as a computer from the 1980s, where masterful meats are slowly smoked (up to 15 hours) under the attuned nostrils of owners Jean and the two Pauls, going on to tantalize XXL appetites as the meat truly falls right off the bone. In the dining room decorated with hanging plants and vintage light wood tables and chairs, people devour the tender meats (pork ribs, beef ribs, pulled pork, the legendary brisket) with their bare hands. And for those who might be tired these great classics, the house has its specials as well. The night we went an incredible beef picanha (or rump) made an appearance, smoked for two hours and still incredibly bloody. To go with it, there's a creamy Mexican salad of corn, avocado, feta, cilantro and lime, and an opulent corn bread, followed by a perfect dark chocolate and pecan cookie for dessert

I don't know how many people reviewing this place have actually had "Texas BBQ" in Texas, but I have driven many miles for the cause. My guy tells me that burnt ends were as good as Pecan Lodge in Dallas, but we were there at 9pm on a Friday, which is unheard of in Texas. He's excited to try the brisket next time. As a vegetarian, this place is way better than anywhere in Texas. There are a load of sides that don't have bacon mixed in *cough, Pecan Lodge mac n' cheese, cough* Cauliflower puffs sound gross but are really tasty, and the fries and slaw plus potato salad means a whole veggie meal. Plus there's wine, which is very nice! They also have Dr Pepper, which was my test for just how Texan this place was. Service was friendly, even to a vegetarian, which has gotten me the stinkeye in Lockhart...

Texas BBQ done CORRECT! Fine, let's start by framing this with a bit of history, who doesn't love history? I've been in Paris for 10 years. When I first arrived I was starved for BBQ and honestly the only place you could get a plate of bbq'd meat was at Planet Hollywood, yes, I know, sad. Fast forward six years and you had a place called Blue's BBQ that offered up great BBQ but alas they had a poor location and eventually closed a few months ago. Meanwhile you also had a restaurant called Beast open and if you've been there, you know the place, while serving 'ok' bbq, fails in their sides dishes, beer selection, technique for ordering and finally fails in presentation of the food itself. Enter the newest contender, Melt. I had a chance to eat there last night with four friends and it was fantastic. When you arrive, you walk to the counter and place an order. Hanging on the wall are the different meats, sides and drinks. The star of the show at Melt is 100% their beef brisket which is claimed to be cooked for 15 hours. For us, we all ordered the same thing, beef brisket sandwiches, hot links, slaw and roasted corn on the cob. Unlike the aforementioned beast, the plate arrived with excellent presentation. The food itself was delicious. The meat on the sandwich was served in a large portion size and accompanied with pickled onions, pickle slices and jalepenos. We had both wine and beer and were definitely not disappointed. The beer they offered was called Pelican and was light and refreshing. Wine was of the Cote de Rhone variety and was a great match for the smokey bbq. Finally we had a chance to meet Jeff, the man from Texas who is responsible for the delicious smoked brisket. Great guy with a passion for BBQ and will to talk shop when he had a free moment. Hands down this is the best BBQ you will find in Paris France, no question.

Great barbecue in Paris with amazing sauce. Not much of a wait if you come around opening and service is fast. I had the beef brisket on a roll and didn't need to add extra sauce..the meat was just like back home. Try the lemon curd dessert and the cauliflower parmesan balls!

This is just like Texas brisket. It's good.

Paris, France meets Paris, Texas (or Dallas or Austin or etc) just as polite as a Texan. Only difference is in the strength of the Euro over the USD. But same price, same food.

Your starter is a salad with a mild horseradishy sauce. All items are simple and delicious. There are about 12 dessert choices that are NOT included in the dinner price. I didn't mind the wait if the food was good, but it wasn't the case for me. The mustard dressing salad was ok but the steak was so dry and I could eat only 3 slices. The waitress was very nice. She encouraged me to eat more but I just couldn't. I told her that I would skip the second plate. She actually packed the leftover for me but the food which didn't taste good then wouldn't taste good later, either. I had a bite of the steak later but I still didn't like it. The wine also tasted like water. We just laughed how bad everything was. This place is popular among tourists and I fell for it. Anyway I thought I should share my experience.

Not sure how to rate here. I'll ponder as I write…read more Let's start with the good. And when I say "good," I mean GREAT. The food here is magnificent. Top shelf. Every single thing we ate (and there were many things) was mind-blowingly delicious. There were cocktails (and mocktails!): a Last Word (Monkey 47 gin, Green Chartreuse, Luxardo, lime) for him and a Golden Pear mocktail for me. Both were outstanding and we each had two. We had the Beefy Bravas--a mille feuille potato topped with beef tartare and caviar--the Tobiko Crab Salad, and the Thai Salad (with seared toro, it's easily the best Thai papaya salad I've ever had). All were bonkers awesome. For our meat course, the husband got the Wagyu Picanha (all evidence points to it being a remarkable piece of beef) and I got the veal filet. The veal was one of the tenderest, most delicious pieces of meat I've ever eaten. The haricots beets we got as a side were crisp and sweet, and the pommes purées were otherworldly (complimentary). This is where the good part stops. The atmosphere of the restaurant was fine. But it was HOT. It is unusually hot in Paris this week but it was stifling inside the restaurant. But we could have dealt with that (the food was that good). The really disappointing part, however, was the service. We waited 20 minutes for anyone to ask if we wanted drinks (the restaurant was not crowded) and another 25 for someone to ask if we wanted to order. For context, a couple who arrived 10-15 minutes after us got a bottle of wine and their first course before the server--the same server for both tables--ever came to take our order. And it was like that throughout the meal. It's a shame, too, because the meal was exceptional otherwise. The service was bad enough that we won't return.

Unfortunately, they don't let you eat a full meal at the bar, only snacks. We waited for a cancellation, and ultimately the bartender was able to speak to the manager and find us a table! The French chateaubriand was outstanding, perfectly cooked and with a flavor profile completely different than American beef. Side dishes were well made and tasty, and the wine list solid. The sommelier was particularly helpful; she was extremely friendly and knowledgeable, and took great care of us. Professional service, high end dining, and an excellent menu. Highly recommended.

They used to have a restaurant in NYC and in my office building but covid killed it. Nice that it's near our hotel in Paris. Service was wonderful and our waitress was a doll. The only reason why this isn't a 5 star instead of the 4 star is because the quality of the steak. I had several pieces that I had to spend extra time in chewing. The red wine was so good it was smooth and easy to drink called the Verre de vin Rouge (Crozes Hermitage). Then a plate of sliced French bread was brought to the table to eat while we waited for the steak frites. You get two servings, they serve half the steak and half the fries then maybe 20 minutes later they come back and serve you the other half of the steak and fries (very hot and fresh). Each time the steak is covered in a mustard based sauce (at least from what I tasted, it was very tasty). Once done with the two plates, a picture menu of desserts was given to us if we wanted to order any. We were too full and opted not to, but they did look good. Our check was 74 euros for two people and this steak frites was the best I have had so far in Paris. They definitely pack you in, you will be seated very close to your neighbor, but the food is so good it does not matter. I highly recommend this restaurant.
