You order on a little clipboard picking out your meat (or fish) then deciding if you'd like fries/veg and any sides and one sauce. I ordered the steak medium-rare and it came out rare but I actually think it was much better this way. The quality of meat is amazing. Getting raclette on the meat and fries is a must try! Vegetables were well seasoned. Fries were crunchy and fresh. There were quite a few take-out orders when I was there so I was impressed with the speed of the service. The prices are nice considering the quality and portions. The server even gave me an extra complimentary sauce for my steak! Ambiance of restaurant is nice and laid back. I past this place several times while in town and always see a lot of people eating here. I had the salmon with vegetables and everything was quite delicious. My friend had the steak and it was cooked perfect medium rare. This place is a great concept where you order at the counter or at a table and they bring your food to you. The food is served on wooden chopping boards which is quite unique. The cost is almost half the price of a sit down restaurant and the food was great. Fermier Gourmet takes casual fast food to a whole new level. The menu is pretty straight forward, pick your base (plate or burger), pick your protein and then your sides. The servers are lovely and very helpful, suggesting the best sauce with your protein. I went with the steak and the boyfriend went with the duck. Both were very tasty, with the beef being a large generous slice. The meat came rare, which was just great for me. The fries were tasty and the vegetables wonderfully done too. I was in Paris for 3 days at the end of August. I was Googling good places to eat in Paris and I stumbled upon Trip Advisor's recommendations and Fermier Gourmet were one of the ones that wouldn't break my piggy bank. My friend and I decided to go there for lunch on our second day (she actually wasn't planning on eating with me). It's a pretty small place and it gets pretty packed especially during lunch. We sat in the back and the server gave us the menu and told us how to order. You basically get a cute piece of paper with options on it. You choose either the platter side or the burger side. You pick your protein (they had steak, chicken, salmon, vegetarian), pick your side (fries, grilled veggies or quinoa (I think)), and pick a sauce (a bunch). The server was super nice. We had lots of questions and even though he didn't understand some of the things we said in English, he was still super helpful and very friendly. After my friend saw the food that other tables had, she decided she wanted to try it out too. So we both got the steak with fries and it also comes with salad. We both asked for it to be medium. When it came out, it was beautifully plated and it was a really good portion. Mind you, it was also only 12 Euros! For steak, it was a really good price. The steak was a bit too rare for me but it was still really amazing. Very soft and flavorful. The fries were great and the sauce I picked (which was the mushroom sauce) went really well with the steak. When we went to the cashier to pay, we were talking to the owner who was super friendly as well. He actually gave us lollipops because he just got his credit card machine working and my friend was the first person to try it. We were so happy about this place that we went back and raved to our friends about it and the next day (our last day), we decided to go back! We came with two more friends and this time, I had the steak with grilled veggies and salad. The veggies were really good and crisp. I think they only cook their steaks medium rare because although I asked for medium well this time, it was still pretty rare. It didn't really bother me though because it was still amazing. I also tried a different sauce which was a peppery sauce. One of my friends god the chicken and she said it was amazing as well. The server and the owner remembered my friend and I from the previous day and they were just as friendly. We talked a bit with the owner after we were done and he gave us all lollipops again! I was really thinking about coming back again for dinner the same day, I was obsessed. If you're ever in Paris, this is definitely a must-try place. read more

OMG! Discover one of Paris' hidden gems. No, not Versailles. Everyone will visit there. Sadly few will probably stumble across this treasure tucked away on Rue de Temple, near République Square. Just had a fabulous meal here. Nothing fancy, or overtly French, just damn delicious. The main fair is burgers or BBQ. Choose a meat, sauce, sides and toppings, and get ready to have what is arguably the best simply good meal in Paris. Our table of ten enjoyed burgers of chicken and beef, beef BBQ, vegi options, wine and beer. Perhaps the best meal, and certainly the best value we've had all week in Paris! Thanks! read more

We decided to eat at Fermier Gourmet after a 24h+ hour day of traveling as it as quick (we were ready for bed) and near our AirBNB. This casual, quick place gave us plenty of options. The menu appears complicated at first - but it's actually pretty simple. You pick your base (platter or burger), protein, sides and sauces. Our server was helpful and recommended several great options for us. We had both the chicken and steak - both were good options. I chose the half frites / half veggies - and have more than enough of each. This is definitely more of an American-style place - but a great option for a quick, delicious meal. read more

Do not get there before 7! We arrived to early and were the only people in the restaurant for awhile. We ordered the steak plate with veggies/fries and the mushroom sauce. It was all wonderful, however coming from the US, it was very surprising that "rare" was the standard for the steak. It was very tasty but I would have probably enjoyed it cooked a little more. The food is so good. The owner was working when we were there and he said that he spent 2 Years in LA where he got his inspiration to open up the restaurant. He speaks English which is awesome if your traveling from English speaking nation (such as myself). They have fantastic drinks also, great cider and beer. The menu is simple yet it's so good. The ambiance was very cozy and relaxed, super casual. The portion are a pretty decent size as well but not over bearing, you get your money's worth! Definitely come here on an empty stomach though!! This was, hands down, the best burger place I've ever been to. I ordered the veggie burger and added a sunny side up egg on top (because sometimes I've noticed veggie burgers tend to be a little dry), but I definitely didn't need it because of how moist and tasty it was. It was most definitely made just minutes before it was served to me. I also had the carrot cake, which was equally as fantastic as the burger, if not better. On top of the exceptional food, the staff was warm and friendly. They gave us ideas for Sunday attractions, and shared stories about their lives! Very personable. 10/10 would recommend. read more
