yummy creamy creme brulee, with a diet Coke LOLA
    Lily B.

One of my more enjoyable meals in Quebec City. I went in the middle of a weekday afternoon and sat outside on the patio area and enjoyed the setup. I decided to order the carbonara with an egg and it was absolutely delicious. Very rich very creamy and the pasta cooked correctly. Afterwards I had the creme brulee which was also very rich and very creamy. I was traveling to Quebec City on my own, and I had a delightful time talking with the waiter about the town. Totally positive experience, I can't speak to the pizza but I really had a delightful meal.

Service at La Pizz was excellent. We came in for Saturday lunch and the patio was busy for people watching and enjoying the outdoor exhibition of Mr Pink. We needed to understand what was available dairy free and the hostess brought back a staffer who told us what was available dairy free. Great - we sat inside for our meal and all three servers who helped us knew about our dairy free need. Fantastic! Food came out quickly. I had a pizza with roasted vegetables that was good but not outstanding. Others in our party had a very nice Countryside salad, a good pasta primavera and a solid linguini bolognese (dairy-free). Overall, I'd say the food was a 3.5 - perfectly good, but not outstanding. The patio is fantastic - right on Place Royale and plenty of people watching. If it wasn't so hot, we would have sat there. Nice place with good food that matched the price and location. La Pizz was a good place to grab a meal that's different from all the burger and poutine in the area.

The service and staff were great! The location phenomenal. I rarely provide negative reviews, but here I will break tradition. The pizza was, without question, the worst pizza I have had in years. It was dry with no perceivable sauce and slightly burnt/ overcooked. The tossed side salad was bitter, but the amber beer was good. My wife ordered a red sangria and it was un-drinkable. She sent it back and ordered a rose which was good. I cannot recommend this restaurant despite how much I liked the staff. It would get a minus 1 or more on food. It was the worst food experience we've had during our Montréal and Quebec City trip. However, we dined at Matto a previous night and our son had pizza there. It was incredibly good and slightly less expensive. For the love of God, Go there!!

Super cute place. Great/kind waiter. I had the Caprese Salad- I prefer more balsamic but the dish was great. Beautiful tomatoes and delicious mozz. cheese. I ordered pizza #17 (had the tomato sauce, cream, goat cheese, pesto & tomatoes). Incredible. I love goat cheese and they put the perfect amount! The pesto was delicious as well. The menu says it's homemade- job well done. My friend had pizza #1 and the Sangria Lemonciello - so good! I 100% recommend and would definitely come back.

Pizza was okay. It wasn't too special. I think y was too pricey for the taste and small..

It's very hard to give a rating for this. On the positive side, the pizza that we had was very good and the seating on the old cobblestone square was pleasant. On the negative side, when we were there only one waiter and one cook were working so it took a very long time to get our food even though they were working hard. Most people were patient though a few people left after waiting a long time to be seated. More people probably would have left but many restaurants in The Old Lower Town weren't open for lunch or had no tables available which didn't leave many options.

We spent the morning at the Musée de civilization. It was a close walk. We enjoyed the Sangria Grand Marnier and also the Sangria Limoncello. The limoncello tasted like we were on a beach. Got the #17 pizza and side salads. My friend said that pizza was in her top 5 of all time and I would agree. So fresh and tasty! Then...our waitress offered to bring out the dessert menu ie. a board of examples. They were all beautiful I wish I took a photo of that. But I selected the last one on the board described to me as "pumpkin pie like". My friend ordered Creme brûlée. Her Creme brûlée was perfect and very tasty but MY dessert...it was like angels singing and the clouds parting on a cloudy day and those few rays of sunshine were shining on ME in that restaurant. There are few times in your life you find perfection and this was one of mine. Speechless. Creamy, spicy, soft, crunchy. SO DELICIOUS. I ordered a second one to go and that didn't make it out of the restaurant. We asked and they were homemade. If you have to, just GO THERE for the desserts!

    Wonderful manager.

First dinner in Quebec City. Couldn't have picked a better place. The Bolognese Penne and Meat Lasagna was excellent. Service by Gabriel was very welcoming, too! Lovely Raspberry pastry!

Greek pizza, feta olives spinach and red onion. Wash it down with a strong Quebec bier.

After spending the morning walking around Old Quebec City we started looking for a place for lunch. All the touristy places on the main street were super crowded and had long waits. I did see some take out places but I wanted to sit and relax and be served. We passed La Pizz and their outdoor area was very crowded, we walked down the side street to discover that La Pizz had some outdoor seating in back of the building. It was out of the way and very inviting so we sat down and checked out the menu. I opted for the Greek pizza, feta, olives, spinach and red onion. I washed it down with a strong Quebec bier. It was a perfect relaxing lunch. I make my own pizza at home and the combination of Greek ingredients had never crossed my mind. Everything melded together very nicely and the next time I make pizza it may be one of these. Check out my photo on their Yelp page. The service at La Pizz was very friendly and efficient. Our waitress was attentive and a pleasure to deal with. So if you find yourself in Old Quebec City and you need a quick bite to eat give La Pizz a try. If the front area is too busy remember to go around back. Mangia!

Patisserie Chouquette is the one spot in QC that truly rocked my world. I went three days in a row…read more(on my 4 day trip) and they were consistently amazing. It gets quite busy during the day, but they are always replenshing and baking fresh pastries and chouquettes. It is a cute, small cafe with seating, wifi, and water. There is no restroom. It is an open kitchen concept where you can see the staff making the pastries! You must try their choux/chouquettes! They rotate the flavors everyday. Here is everything I tried: 1) Choquette: I got a plain one for 50c, and it was light and airy with a nice sweet sprinkle of sugar on top. A great choquette. 2) Earl grey blueberry choquette: Same texture as the unfilled, but stuffed with a blueberry compote that adds a fresh tangy, tart flavor and an earl grey cream that is floral and fragrant. So delicious and the pairing of flavors worked well. 3) Chocolate raspberry choquette: This inside filling I liked less than (2), but still pretty good. The chocolate is rich and follows the same texture as the earl grey cream. The raspberry compote again is tart, fresh, and true raspberry. 4) Blueberry Scone: I enjoyed this. It is huge, and the edges are always the best part. A nice hard sturdy crust with a sprinkling of sugar. Nice blueberries throughout too! The only thing is that the middle is a bit too bready for my liking, but nothing major so I'd still recommend this item to try. 5) Chocolatine: It is a nice croissant, but nothing special in my opinion. The chocolate is nicely soft and melted though, which I appreciated since many chocolatine come with a cold hard chocolate rod inside. 6) Pistachio Strawberry Choquette: Another amazing bite, I love the pistachio cream though I wish there were more of it. The strawberry compote overpowered the pistachio cream, so there was too much strawberry too little pistachio 7) Iced Matcha: It comes unsweetened so you can ask them for either brown sugar or maple syrup. Honestly, I do not recommend the matcha. It was quite...not good..to be frank. 8) Iced Strawberry Matcha: This was not better. Still wouldn't recommend this.

In particular, the lime panna cotta pre-dessert was light, refreshing, and had a variety of textures and flavors including sweet, salty, sour, crunchy, and smooth all the same time. Quite an adventure for my taste buds! I also greatly enjoyed the savory scallops with roasted corn in creamy corn sauce. So yummy! I chose this restaurant because several google reviewers said the food was on par with Michelin restaurants. I definitely agree. Also the price of the meal is a fraction of what I would normally pay for the same quality of food and service in the US. The meal was so special it felt like an anniversary dinner.

Le 101 had 5-star reviews on Tripadvisor but hardly anything on Yelp. Stunning! Ambiance was very relaxed and welcoming for quite an upscale place and our server was extremely attentive. Best choice, probably the gravlax and pate-croute but also the omelette was delicious. Definitely go for the waffles as a dessert, the blueberries were right in season. If/when we are back in Quebec City, we may consider staying at their Bed and Breakfast as well. If I'd be able to give 10 stars, I'd do that too. Amazing.
