Grilled Conger Eel with spicy shellfish sauce.
Rob B.

It's been a few years but if anything it's better than ever. Our limited Spanish was not a problem with our enthusiastic server. Happy to see so much seafood, and King Klip aka Conger Eel. Pass on the beef empanadas tasty but 90% bread. Heineken 0.0 on hand if your interested. Garlic shrimp was a hit as were the papas, potato wedges.

Paila Marina

We came for lunch and wanted something simple before our tour. Glad we came here, the empanadas were made fresh and was mostly a tasty cheese. The French fries were nice and hot and satisfying. Cool spot.

The shrimp was good, nice spice afterward, not chewy, very tasty,

Ok so here's the deal with this place, at the end of the day, it's mall food. I really wanted this place to be good, because I usually stay at the Marriott hotel across the street, and I wanted a good seafood restaurant nearby. But unfortunately this place is mediocre at best. The seafood and and the veggies are undercooked at best, which goes with the service. They are all about moving the tables. They want you out of there as soon as possible. I know that there are much better seafood restaurants in Santiago, don't waste your time here.

In the Parque Arauco mall alongst the American chain restaurants like TGI Fridays, PF Changs. Nice decor with a seaside theme touting that they are the amabassador of Valparaiso (seaport 60 miles away). Thought the food was great. Had a ceviche mixto with fish, shrimp and squid which was great. Also had a quinoa salad with shrimp and avocado, yummy! For some reason when I have quinoa back at home, there is an earthy taste to it. Not so with the quinoa here. Lastly had the Calldio con congrio (Conger eel fish only found in this part of the world), soup with the fish, carrots, and some potato type starch. So tasty and good! They have menus in different languages and our waiter actually lived in Colorado before so English was no problem. Our waiter was great and explained about the local dishes.

Overall considering factors of price, location, ambiance, and food quality, this was my favorite restaurant wen I visited Santiago. Waiters were very patient and spoke good English. They even provided an iPad showing what each dish looked like so we knew what we were getting beforehand. Oysters were some of the freshest I've tasted ever. Empanadas were fantastic, and the fish was superb!

La Perla is located in the mall area and is surrounded by many American chains. So of course, it was our last lunch in Chile and we wanted something that we've never tried! I couldn't leave Chile without empanadas and these were quite tasty. We ordered scallops but got oysters. Instead of battling the language barrier, we ate the oysters - which were tasty as well. My fish portion was absolutely huge - as with most dishes in this city. Service was attentive and our check was a reasonable price for the amount that we were served. The restaurant is colorful and has a great atmosphere. The restaurant opened at noon and we were first in. Within an hour, the restaurant was packed. So either get there early, secure a reservation, or be prepared to wait.

This restaurant is located in a huge mall with great nautical decorations. Plenty of seating indoors and outdoors, and some of the outdoor seats are made to look like parts of a boat. Ordered a fried fish dish with squid ink and sauteed vegetables, which was delicious! My two friends ordered a lamb dish and a fish and chips sort of thing each. They were both just OK and not particularly special. Tends to be a bit flavorless and dry. Could do a lot better with just a 10-15 minute walk from here!

Grilled sea bass and veggies. Excellent meal. Six of us went out for dinner and we were all pleased with our dinner choices.

The pisco sour was wonderful and a bit strong for me (I'm a lightweight).

I've visited Tramonto twice now and agree with friends that you come here primarily for the views,…read morebut during covid, you also come for the delicious food and quicker-than-normal and quality service. A group of my neighbors decided to make an early dinner reservation at the restaurant over the holiday weekend (Fiestas Patrias). Due to the earlier-than-normal curfew, the restaurant stopped serving and turned off the music at 8 p.m. (normal Chilean dinnertime). Thankfully, we'd had two hours to enjoy pisco sours, sparkling wine, ceviche, provaleta, empanadas, entraña, and pizza. Thanks to the pandemic, our temperatures were taken at the door and the menu (in English and Spanish) downloads onto your phone with via QR code. I can highly recommend the blue cheese- and-carmenere empanadas, which also contain beautiful caramelized onions. Also, the trio of ceviches was lovely and the toasted bread crisps had a buttery garlic flavor. We ordered two warm provaletas that come with herbs, tomatoes, and walnuts, but only the second one was actually served at an acceptably warm temperature. I also recommend the pear, brie, and caramelized onion pizza. The pizza and pears are very thin but the flavor is good, though I would not call the dough "gourmet". Possibly because it is winter or because of covid, the pool has been drained, but the evening view of the mountains was still the highlight of the meal, como siempre.

Beautiful rooftop bar with colorful lighting and a pool in the center. The views were nothing…read morespectacular, but the cocktails were great. We tried the traditional Pisco Sour as well as the Passionfruit variety, but my favorite was their Ginger and Honey cocktail. I could taste the fresh grated ginger and the honey was not too sweet at all. The waiter was so funny and accommodated my broken Spanish. All in all, a beautiful night.
