We stopped in for the first Pisco Sour of our visit to Santiago, and the bartender was so kind and attentive! He gave us several tastes and explained some of the differences in production between Peruvian Pisco and Cilean Pisco.

We stopped here twice on our trip in Chile, once at the beginning in Santiago and once at the end of our trip. The first time, we went in for lunch and unfortunately the menu was limited on that day, so we had a prix fixe choice (very reasonably priced) of a fish and salad dish, then a beef and quinoa dish. Both were very tasty. The restaurant is known for their pisco drink options, including a variety of fun cocktails. The prix fixe lunch included both a pisco sour as well as choice of second drink (including wine), so we got a glass of red each. The second time we came in, we got some of the fun pisco cocktails (the one I got was loosely based on a sangria). The restaurant interior itself is nice, and if you walk through to the back, there's a really cool garden area. Would definitely recommend coming here in Santiago!

Although this restaurant is near a touristy spot, plenty of locals will point here for an authentic meal. Glad we took the advice and gave it a try. We came during a summer evening and the place was full of locals and busy. Maybe a bit warm temperature wise when sitting inside, but definitely worth it. Ordered the chicken & beef empanadas along with the crispy chicken for appetizers and it hit the mark. The empanadas were good but those crispy chicken dipped in the ceviche sauce was exactly what I wanted in a local place. I'm not a huge sweet potato fan, but the way this one was prepared complimented the chicken beyond my imagination. Wifey ordered the seafood mixture and it was tasty, however a bit too heavy on the mushroom pieces which took up too much room on the plate. I ordered the sweet and sour chicken, which was a spin off of the Asian version combined with a Peruvian touch. Didn't know what to expect when I ordered it so it was a pleasant surprise and very sweet, and well, sour. If you are near this area, this place is a must try.

We came here with our tour group The picsxo sour was fantastic I had the salmon with quinoa and it was very tasty The hubby had braised beef and polenta and he loved it There were people smoking which ruined an otherwise lovely dining experience with our new travel mates

Stopped her for a drink in the evening and was greeted immediately and seated at the bar. They have English and Spanish menus. They have a lot of different cocktails with pisco as well as pisco flights. My drink was smoky and boozy. I didn't try their food so can't comment on that.

Had late lunch at this interestingly decorated restaurant which is located on a street with lots of other restaurants. Chose it as it was recommended by several friends and also only 15 mins walk from our hotel. We had seafood with stir fried veggies and fish with quinoa, both quite tasty. Good place for selection of Pisco sour but unlike many other restaurants they don't have any non alcoholic juice selection at all only lemonade. They are also very strict on seating - even though the place was pretty empty during a non peak time they won't let you seat at a 4-top if you are a party of 2 which I found to be a bit odd.

Most memorable seafood and Pisco meal in Santiago Chile. We enjoyed this restaurant so much that we ate here three times over 4 days. The ceviche was well prepared with a balanced mixture of citrus flavor, veggies and fish. The wife had a fried fish dish with stir fried veggies and was pleased with the dish. Everything was well cooked, served and tasty. The service was excellent with staff practicing their English and me, Spanish. It could be the Pisco talking but still think about returning and eating at Chipe Libre again.

Drinks were the berries cocktail sweet as no reason for and my pisco sour was not mixed up properly. They look good but nahhh

So first time here , and probably last , service was so bad our server never showed much interest on selling more that we were asking ( Alejandra) she disappear constantly, when she was coming back never asked us ; would you like guys something else's to drink ? That was weird , ceviche traditional was good , the seafood rice was uneventful ( just a server who wasn't even working with us helped us and literally saved the experience ( Victor ) I just asked his name

Visited on a Monday around 4:00pm lots of tables and bar space available so was seated quickly. Menu has a huge selection of piscos, cuban/peruvian food options as well. Drinks: La Temptation - sweet, fruity and tropical with a slightly thicker texture, delicious and dangerous didn't pick up much Pisco flavor Vegetarian ceviche - really tasty, I got the chili dressing which tasted citrusy with a bit of spice, ceviche had a blend of strawberry, mango, crispy corn and hominy, along with red onion and sweet potato Service was good, served promptly and staff could communicate in English with ease. Overall I enjoyed my experience and would recommend a visit while traveling in Santiago.

This is a wonderful option for drinking or dining! The food is all savory and delicious. They even offer vegetarian options like Thai food and tofu. The empanadas are solid. Everything tastes good! The cocktails are delicious, especially those with pisco. It's wonderful that they also offer pisco flights so you can try each kind individually. Indoor seating is available by reservation plus outdoor patio seating might be your only option if you walk in. Service is very prompt in any case, and English menus are offered.

The food is as delicious! The service was great. I really appreciated that they had an English menu. The drinks looked amazing, next time I'm going to try a couple.

Solid place to drink Pisco. Great and vast selection. Started with some cocktails and then moved on to flights. We learned a lot here. Tried some great flights including the herbal and grand flights. Considered a return later in the evening. Service was very laid back.

Absolutely delicious! This is such a top quality restaurant from the decor to the food. We enjoyed every bite of the beef with tomatoes and fries. The oysters were from Chile and different than what I'm used to but we ate every one and enjoyed their unique brine!

When I went the first thing I noticed was how inviting the place was with the fun choice of music and how warm they kept it inside. I also really enjoy the layout of the bar. There are lots of little rooms, each with 3 to 5 tables which makes it perfect for a more private evening out, or you can also enjoy yourself at their classy bar. Naturally there is also space if you want to go out with a group of friends or have a happy hour with your work buddies. They even have karaoke, fun! There pisco sour was just yummy and they have some great things to nibble on as well. They cheese platter is beautifully arranged with salami and several artisanal cheeses. I tried their manchas a la parmesana (clams baked with parmesan cheese) which were not the best I've had, but good. Their empanadas we just fine as well the only strange thing is that they were served on a plate and covered in plastic rap (maybe a mishap). All in all a nice chill bar to spend an evening.
