"Nothing you could say could tear me away from my guy…read moreNothing you could do, 'cause I'm stuck like glue to my guy" (Mary Wells) We took a morning coffee break, and had a wonderful time chatting, relaxing, sipping our drinks, and enjoying the friendly, mellow, and very chill atmosphere at the Café by New England Coffee Guy. They have plenty of seating, some upholstered furniture and we saw a few Friday morning telecommuters working on their laptops and sipping their coffees. Our order was a Chai Latte and a Cold Brew - each was $5. The pours were very large, and I swear that my cold brew was the very best I've ever had. I love coffee, drinking it hot or cold, and what I had here is in my all-time Top Five Percent. It was that good. I had a sip of my wife's Chai Latte and thought it was excellent as well. What really impressed me were the flavors of both drinks- not overpowering, but strong enough to appreciate them. The Coffee Guy has it all - specialty coffees, matcha, chai, espresso drinks, and pastries and sweet treats to pair with your coffee cup. We couldn't resist grabbing a few on our way out, and we took home a box with a Spinach croissant, iced blueberry scone, and a cruffin (croissant/muffin hybrid). We loved our visit to the Coffee Guy, and I was so impressed by the total experience, I just subscribed to their newsletter. So the next time we're looking for a midday break or afternoon pick-me-up..... I know a guy!

Not too sweet but not bitter either. We talked to the owner for a little bit and he was very nice and personable. We will be back in the summer with our dog to sit out on the patio.

"When you try your best, but you don't succeed When you get…read morewhat you want, but not what you need I will try to fix you" (Coldplay) Coffee Fix is a small family-owned coffee shop specializing in coffees with espresso shots, and some very cool flavors like Dubai Chocolate and lattes accented with Tiramisu, Biscoff, coconut etc. Their beans are imported from Brazil, Colombia, and Guatemala. They have plenty of sweet and savory treats to go along with your coffee cup - cannoli's, macarons, baklava, cake pops, savories, tortas, croissants, bombolinis, muffins, breakfast sandwiches, scones, etc. I stopped in to do some prep for a morning Board of Directors meeting and ordered a large drip coffee and a cheese and spinach pastry with a criss-cross latticework top. Breakfast was around $10. The coffee was excellent, and far too much for me to drink at one sitting. It was served in a huge ceramic mug, so I asked them to pour it into a "to go" cup when I left. The pastry was delicious, a great balance of spinach, cheese, flaky pastry, and crunchy top. I loved it. I grabbed a small table in the back and went through my notes while sipping my coffee and people watching. I got a kick out of the young lady to my left who was simultaneously working on her laptop and two phones while having her breakfast. She sure beat me in the multi-tasking department. Service was excellent, the friendly gent and lady who helped me were wonderful and super friendly. I sure enjoyed this private non-chain coffee stop.

I especially enjoy the grilled chicken Brussels sprouts salad and my iced coffee to go -- always delicious. The atmosphere is perfect whether you're working, relaxing, or meeting a friend for a coffee date. They also offer a curated selection of local artisan goods -- clean‑ingredient handcrafted candles, tumblers, snacks, honey, and gifts -- which adds such a special touch to the space and highlights their focus on community. Overall, a consistently great experience.

Ct greatest hits cafe with good seating…read more Once again, expanding out my breakfast searches. Found this place randomly so headed down to give them a try. Walking in, immediately greeted by the owner. The place is very much a family owned and run location. The place is smaller but lots of comfy couches and modern decorations. The menu was a mix of breakfast hits. They know they are a smaller shop, do they highlight some of the best of the best in the state. Giv coffee, Goldberg bagels, Neil's donuts, and other local shops, announced with pride and on display. I appreciate places that recognize they might not be strong on certain items do they source from those who can. I got an affogato, sausages and cheese bagel, and a few Neil's donuts. The food came out quick, took some artsy pics then dug in. The affogato had lots of pistachios, coffee was strong and ice cream was nice and sweet. Could have done without the whipped cream, but the flavors were there. The sausage egg and cheese bagel, the bagel was very good, but didn't match well with the sandwich. A very good bagel has a chewy exterior and soft interior. This bagel has that, but it wasn't a good match for the soft egg slab and sausage patty. This bagel is a very good lunch sandwich or a schmere bagel, but not the best for a sandwich. The Neil's donuts were fresh and tasty, no complaints there. Pricing was higher than expected, but the quality was there to help justify it. I may skip the donuts next time I go and swap out the bagel for a biscuit, but it's a very good breakfast spot for the area
