Man, it was one of the best decisions I've made on the road lately! The food came out hot and fresh with that real homemade taste. The tacos were packed with flavor, the rice and beans were on point, and the portions were generous enough to fill up a hungry driver without breaking the bank. I went with the carne asada and it hit the spot perfectly - seasoned just right, not too greasy, and cooked tender. Service was quick and friendly, even when they were busy. The place has that classic hole-in-the-wall vibe (in the best way), nothing fancy but clean and welcoming. It felt like the kind of authentic spot locals would keep coming back to. Only reason it's not 5 stars is the parking can be a little tight for a big rig if you're not careful, and they don't have a ton of truck-friendly seating space. But the food more than makes up for it. If you're rolling through the area and craving real Mexican food, definitely stop in. I'll be back next time I'm in the neighborhood. ¡Muy bueno! -- Carlos, SemiTruckDriver

Like I don't know if it wasn't mixed well, or they heavy handed it, but I wasn't mad about it at all. The steak tacos were delicious and very flavorful. I'd get these again and again in heartbeat. Service at the bar was great. Food arrived faster than expected, but I had also got there as their night was winding down. My friends and I were originally going to eat here for Cinco de Mayo, but when I got there at 6:45, I was told it would be a 3.5 hour wait. They had a DJ outside pumping out fast and upbeat music for the party and an outside margarita stand for grab and go drinks. When I arrived back just after 9, I had told them to take us off the list. She informed me that they tried calling me. Nothing came through on my phone, but she did show her call log and sure enough, it showed they called me around 8:20. My friends and I probably would have stayed to eat here originally had we been given a more realistic wait time guesstimate. An hour and a half wait vs 3.5 hours is much more feasible. Oh well. I'm sure I'll be back in the future. I've always enjoyed Anejo.

Greeted and sat right away- 5 of us. Hostess nice, server nice. Right away had two large bowls of chips and two types of salsa brought to us. Chips were good, just added salt. Unfortunately it went downhill from there. And we were patient, super patient. It was a Friday, but it was not overly crowded, like I said - seated immediately around 7:40. Drinks, took over 30 minutes for a pineapple one and three skinny- we joked the food would arrive first, but we were very wrong. Then, the waitress waited for us to try- I think it was a newer person at the bar. We tried to like it, but somehow it tasted like flat sprite.our server took them away and made us them herself. Now, those were great. Small side of guac was brought after that- meant to go with the meal, but we were so hungry we just ate with the chips. It was very good- fresh tasting. Then we waited. And waited some more. Asked about the food, then waited some more. Finally, we cut our losses and asked for the check minus the food that never came. The band was starting next door and we wanted to celebrate the bday girl. Pic 1, text just after 8pm- shows me joking that I was going to eat my friends food since she was headed over from next door and taking a bit and we had ordered 10 minutes prior. Pic 2, text shows us giving up- 9pm. So over an hour wait on food that never arrived - even if busy that would be a deal breaker. We were excited to try it too- disappointed.

We ordered tacos, nachos, a kids' burrito, and kids' quesadillas, we got desert, it was a chocolate covered skull with ice cream, they bring out the dish and literally lit it on fire with a sparkler, looked cool, kids loved it, so if you're looking for something a little different or entertaining during dinner. So overall, the food was decent but a bit salty, and the flavor didn't really stand out. To me it had more of a chain restaurant feel, kind of like something you'd get at Chili's rather than a more authentic Mexican spot. Drinks were mixed for us. My wife had margaritas and enjoyed them, honestly I don't think she's ever met a margarita she didn't like. I tried the Old Fashioned, which just wasn't my style. It tasted more like Fireball on the rocks than a traditional Old Fashioned. One thing they definitely did right was the service. Even though the restaurant was crowded, the wait staff was friendly, attentive, and stayed on top of everything the whole time. Overall, it's a cool spot with a fun vibe and good staff. If you're looking for a lively place and want to see some flaming food presentations, it's worth checking out.

I ordered the Shrimp Tacos (corn tortillas, lettuce, breaded fried shrimp, chipotle mayo, and cilantro) minus pico & they were great. The shrimp were freshly fried and steaming hot. I had to wait a bit because a large catering order was being finished as I arrived. The manager offered me a free Jarritos and apologized profusely for my wait. My sister placed an order and picked up the order. Since it was taco Tuesday we each got three birria tacos. The meat itself was fairly flavorful and the consome was decent. I appreciated they charred the outside of the tortilla and it was nicely crisped. Since I'm from Southern California, I was expecting some type of hot sauce like all of our taco shops offer, but sadly there was none. I would have loved a little spice, but the tacos were very good with the onions. I was pleasantly surprised they were out of cilantro, which for me makes me happy since I'm not a fan of the stuff. Overall it was a good meal and for Florida, they were pretty decent birria tacos.
