My family has been ordering cakes from La Patisserie for a few years now for any special occasion. All the cakes & cheesecakes we've gotten have been consistently amazing! The cakes are always fluffy and moist, cream is just the right sweetness & smoothness, and topped with generous quality ingredients! The inside of the shop is small but filled with freshly made breads, pastries, and a some pre-made cakes & tarts. Definitely check em out for a special occasion treat :)

Best croissants I've had outside of Paris. Having it a few times in Paris made me a snob about it. I searched for a long time and finally found a place that does it right. Excellent.

If you're looking for delicious cheesecake, go no further. I ordered a cherry cheesecake from La Patisserie to celebrate a 30th birthday and it is the best cheesecake we've ever had!!! It was creamy and light and we couldn't stop talking about it. We were celebrating at a local pub and even after a night of drinking, we made sure to bring it home with us in the cab. The next day after leaving our accommodations, we had forgotten the cheesecake in the fridge - we turned around and drove 30 minutes back to get it!! If there are any fans of the TV show FRIENDS out there, we felt like Rachel and Chandler in "The One With All The Cheesecakes" (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_PmOOcnnc28). It's so good we keep eating small slices just so it doesn't end. I also want to say the staff at La Patisserie were great - although they typically need 2 days lead time for a 10" cheesecake, I let them know my situation and I needed it the next day. They graciously accommodated - which I am so thankful for!! Would definitely recommend and we will be back for every birthday/celebration we have in the future!!

Omg the best cheesecake we ever had! I was clueless where to get a birthday cheesecake for my boyfriend as we just recently moved here in Kitchener. The reviews were totally right. I got 8" cheesecake and it was surprisingly super yummy (just the right sweetness) and not that pricey. I tried some of their cookies and they were also delicious. I would definitely comeback for our cake and dessert needs.

It was my first time and very frankly I struggled ordering because none of the items had pricing so I felt I was disturbing someone to ask pricing of cannoli and tarts...would prefer pricing listed. Not even the website has pricing. Parking is pretty busy, it seems to be busy in waves and there are two entrances into the location. So drive in carefully.

Environment: The cafe is located a little bit west of the Charles Terminal, probably around 20mins walk, but the 7 bus stop is right in front of the store. I immediately saw the array of cakes and other bakery items upon walking in the door. The atmosphere at the bakery was great, suitable for sitting down and grabbing some coffee and treats with friends. There doesn't seem to be many students visiting due to the distance from schools, so it's more of a local favourite. Food: I got their signature Tiramisu, which was $3.10, pretty decent price in my opinion. My friend got the cheesecake which I believe was $3.50. The portions of the cakes were pretty big too. The Tiramisu definitely lived up to my expectation, and I especially loved how smooth and flavourful the mousse part was. Would definitely come back again for their Tiramisu and maybe next time I will try out their Portugese egg tarts as well!

I ordered 1/2 a dozen cupcakes, and a strawberry lemonade. The cupcakes were priced reasonably at just $2.50 each with a deal for buying a dozen or 1/2 dozen. And I'm happy I decided to stop by, first off the service was great, the sales lady was kind, attentive, and great at answering questions. As for the taste of the strawberry lemonade it was good, cold and refreshing but, it was much too sweet for me, so I handed it off to my boyfriend who didn't mind the sweetness and actually enjoyed it. The cupcake flavours I ordered were the blueberry lemon(with fresh blueberries in cake), vanilla with sprinkles, and strawberry cupcakes(with strawberry pieces in cake). The cupcakes were delicious some of the best I've ever had!! The buttercream frosting was thick flavourful, and just enough was on the cupcakes to perfectly complement the moist and not too sweet cake portion of the cupcake. Needless to say this is definitely my new go to spot for cupcakes in Waterloo, and I will be back to try some other baked goods too, such as a scone or muffin next time, as they looked great too.

Moral of this little story is the cupcakes from this place taste great whether they are smushed or not, but they are super pretty when they are not smushed. I 100% recommend this bakery.

The Kouignamann, which is their specialty, and the peach cinnamon sticky bun were my absolute favorites. Along with the baked goods, they also offer coffee, lattes, house-made ice cream, local craft drinks, and even an assortment of vintage-style gifts that look like they came straight out of the 1950s.
