Bought a birthday cake here for a friend's birthday. I didn't order ahead since this was planned last minute, so I bought a cake that was available for that day. The cheesecake was delicious; it was fresh and fluffy. I was afraid that it would be too sweet for us but it was just right. On top of that, the cake was really pretty looking. Will definitely come back to buy a cake for another celebration. read more

Definitely check La Patisserie out for the best pastries in Waterloo! This quaint, hole in the wall bakery is found in the heart of the industrial district. Their kitchen is large enough to support entire restaurant orders. They are open at 8am, so be sure to come early to get their freshly baked delights! I had the pleasure of trying their quiche, scones, and blueberry danish. I will be back to try their cheesecakes! read more

My family has been ordering cakes from La Patisserie for a few years now for any special occasion. All the cakes & cheesecakes we've gotten have been consistently amazing! The cakes are always fluffy and moist, cream is just the right sweetness & smoothness, and topped with generous quality ingredients! The inside of the shop is small but filled with freshly made breads, pastries, and a some pre-made cakes & tarts. Definitely check em out for a special occasion treat :) read more

Best croissants I've had outside of Paris. Having it a few times in Paris made me a snob about it. I searched for a long time and finally found a place that does it right. Excellent. read more

Ordered a triple chocolate truffle cake (for a birthday) from here about a week ago. The dark and white chocolate layers tasted great; milk chocolate - not so much. Also got some Palmiers while picking up the cake. I didn't like them overall, but the Belgian chocolate on them were pretty good. read more

If you're looking for delicious cheesecake, go no further. I ordered a cherry cheesecake from La Patisserie to celebrate a 30th birthday and it is the best cheesecake we've ever had!!! It was creamy and light and we couldn't stop talking about it. We were celebrating at a local pub and even after a night of drinking, we made sure to bring it home with us in the cab. The next day after leaving our accommodations, we had forgotten the cheesecake in the fridge - we turned around and drove 30 minutes back to get it!! If there are any fans of the TV show FRIENDS out there, we felt like Rachel and Chandler in "The One With All The Cheesecakes" (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_PmOOcnnc28). It's so good we keep eating small slices just so it doesn't end. I also want to say the staff at La Patisserie were great - although they typically need 2 days lead time for a 10" cheesecake, I let them know my situation and I needed it the next day. They graciously accommodated - which I am so thankful for!! Would definitely recommend and we will be back for every birthday/celebration we have in the future!! read more

Omg the best cheesecake we ever had! I was clueless where to get a birthday cheesecake for my boyfriend as we just recently moved here in Kitchener. The reviews were totally right. I got 8" cheesecake and it was surprisingly super yummy (just the right sweetness) and not that pricey. I tried some of their cookies and they were also delicious. I would definitely comeback for our cake and dessert needs. read more

We order our wedding cake from La Patisserie. White Chocolate Raspberry and it was Heavenly. Thank you so much for such a beautiful cake!!

Consider yourself very lucky anytime your birthday cake comes from La Pátisserie! Last night it was the Hazelnut Torte augmented with region's best and most authentic croissant you'll ever have outside of Paris, France! Love this place and have ordered many, many times. They never disappoint and customer service is fabulous. Wish they'd do baguette or pain long! read more

So frustrated. I phoned to ask if they sold any strawberry cake as my daughter told me that's what she wanted for her birthday tomorrow. (Didn't get the request 3 days in advance to custom order). They said they had one the store for walk-in customers and that it was first-come, first-served. No phone reservations. So I had to gather up my 3 year old twins and pack up the car and hurry over. I got there and there was a beautiful strawberry mousse cake and some other cakes like a white chocolate with strawberry. I said to the counter server "I think I want the strawberry mousse cake but I want to call my daughter to confirm." While this was happening a man walked into the store behind me and he heard me. I quickly FaceTimes here and as I was saying "just wanting to confirm you want this Strawberry mousse cake and not any of the other ones with strawberry" the guy behind me said "I want the strawberry mousse cake" and in one quick swoop they whisked it away and sold it to him. While I thought I was literally in the midst of buying the same cake. So just to be clear; it's busy at 9:30 on a Saturday morning. You really should order in person first at least 3 days in advance or earlier. And first come first served doesn't mean the first person in line...it's the hunger games in terms of sourcing a cake! I'm so disappointed. When I expressed my disappointment I just got silence from one staff and a "well it's first come first served" from the other older lady. Thought I'd write this review so customers aren't disappointed like me. (I wasn't dawdling by the way - was trying to be quick). Just should put to turn order and cut in line to get what you want apparently. So disappointed. read more

I first tried their cheesecakes from Vincenzo's - had tried several and wanted to find out where the distributer was. To my suprise they were located in KW, and even have a storefront. Their cheesecakes are just great. A nice dence, rich cheesecake. I've tried several, but my favourite is probably the dulche de leche. Other popular ones among friends are the mint chocolate, brownie, and skor cheesecakes as well. When I bought the skor cheesecake I had called at about 11am on a Saturday to see if they had one in stock - they didn't, but the gentleman said he could put one together for me - I had it that afternoon, and it was beautifully decorated. I haven't tried their cakes, but they look great. A lot of their cheesecakes also come in single servings for about $3-$4. Their normal size cheesecake are around $20 and serve about 8 They also have pastries(at least one Saturdays which is when I go) - very very yummy croissants! All in All, very friendly workers, and great cheesecakes - definitely the best in KW read more
