The bake goods are FRESH FRESH everyday, this is a little shop and I wish they were bigger and closer to Fairway Road. Actually they could open another location, that is an idea. The Dobos cake is fantastic, and the Romanian Kids Cake ( Translation). They have some Romanian and Hungarian prepackaged spices, noodles, etc. I am fine with the price they charge, I just wish they also had bread and were closer to me! I…read moredon't usually go to downtown Kitchener very often and this trip totally did not disappoint. Environment: The cafe is located a little bit west of the Charles Terminal, probably around 20mins walk, but the 7 bus stop is right in front of the store. I immediately saw the array of cakes and other bakery items upon walking in the door. The atmosphere at the bakery was great, suitable for sitting down and grabbing some coffee and treats with friends. There doesn't seem to be many students visiting due to the distance from schools, so it's more of a local favourite. Food: I got their signature Tiramisu, which was $3.10, pretty decent price in my opinion. My friend got the cheesecake which I believe was $3.50. The portions of the cakes were pretty big too. The Tiramisu definitely lived up to my expectation, and I especially loved how smooth and flavourful the mousse part was. Would definitely come back again for their Tiramisu and maybe next time I will try out their Portugese egg tarts as well!

I ordered 1/2 a dozen cupcakes, and a strawberry lemonade. The cupcakes were priced reasonably at just $2.50 each with a deal for buying a dozen or 1/2 dozen. And I'm happy I decided to stop by, first off the service was great, the sales lady was kind, attentive, and great at answering questions. As for the taste of the strawberry lemonade it was good, cold and refreshing but, it was much too sweet for me, so I handed it off to my boyfriend who didn't mind the sweetness and actually enjoyed it. The cupcake flavours I ordered were the blueberry lemon(with fresh blueberries in cake), vanilla with sprinkles, and strawberry cupcakes(with strawberry pieces in cake). The cupcakes were delicious some of the best I've ever had!! The buttercream frosting was thick flavourful, and just enough was on the cupcakes to perfectly complement the moist and not too sweet cake portion of the cupcake. Needless to say this is definitely my new go to spot for cupcakes in Waterloo, and I will be back to try some other baked goods too, such as a scone or muffin next time, as they looked great too.

Moral of this little story is the cupcakes from this place taste great whether they are smushed or not, but they are super pretty when they are not smushed. I 100% recommend this bakery.
