I called during the week to have a Saturday appointment and what I liked it was that there was appointments available. But, yes there is a but, even when the attention at front desk was ok, decent the person that was doing my appointment was not that welcoming. For starting when I called I said I want a tips trim and waves for my hair. A sat in the chair and show the person what I wanted, waves with a tight two pieces in the front, NOTHING elaborate, we agreed on the same of the pictures and the hair trim was maintaining my hair cut which was long layers When she started working, she didn't have any products to work with at her seat, nor hair products or clips, so she was bouncing between me and a table. She did the waves and I was ok, everything good but then started to do an updo and I was really confused, because WE AGREED on doing waves and two pieces in front. I told her and she was, no but you ask when you asked for your appointment to have an updo, and I was like... were you talking with me 20 minutes ago? She with not much good emotion started changing the style and did it. When I saw my hair from behind I saw that the layers didn't blend, and it seems to be some, too short, and also I mentioned my hair being thin and need much HOLD product, she didn't put much. I was about to pay, but my husband had already called to pay. When I asked him he said they called him a second time to charge him more because I did something extra. What's extra about trims and waves when that's what I asked when I called! That she did something different at the beginning and then had to change it???? Owner is careless and sloppy. Takes too many clients and is always in a rush. Not worth the hype and insanely expensive.

I came here for a facial and left with scabs and terrible pain. Two days later and I still have scabs and tenderness from the "facial." If I wanted scarring, I could have done that at home for free. read more

Well, I am sad to say I am a disappointed in my experience at Cole Wellness Spa. I am a first time patron and upon coming in I was greeted by three very loud toddlers who were running around doing whatever they pleased--including touching me. They seemed like fine cute kids, but in a spa where I am trying to relax, it wasn't the scene I was expecting. Upon entering the massage room, I could still hear the children! They were screaming for toys and running around talking. It was not relaxing at all and completely ruined the experience. So much so that I asked for the music to be turned up to drown them out. She obliged but it didn't help--I could still hear them. I only get massages a few times a year, and this was definitely a disappointing experience. On the positive end, my massage therapist was great. Veronica was very good at her job and attentive. Sadly I won't be seeing her again because I don't want to pay for relaxation just to hear screaming children for an hour. read more

Writing a second review for the amazing service I received after the holiday season. Heather was able to get me in same-day for a cut and color. Just ready to switch things up! Heather knew exactly what I was going for and had color mixed in no time. The color itself is natural/ organic and actually smelled really good, kind of like licorice. Resulted in a beautiful color. Awesome results! The space itself is great because it has huge windows where you can watch the hustle and bustle of Wayne from the serenity of the salon/spa. Although the service was ok I was told, Amanda kept using her phone and my wife heard her speaking prior to entering the room with extreme vulgarity. I found Miki! Miki, who formerly worked at Juju Salon, knows how to cut asian hair! She's reliable and takes the time to do your 'do right. Cole Wellness Spa is close to the train stop, so city folks, it's not too hard to get there! Before my haircut, I booked a deep tissue massage. Betsy was fantastic, for my body and my soul. I'm not usually interested in conversation with my masseuse, but I left feeling better about my place in the world from my 60 minutes on the table! I wish there were a steam room/locker room, but I suppose changing in the room eliminates the need for a robe and flip flops. I do love the amount of natural lighting in here. Lots to see while you're getting your hair done! Oh, and they accept Spafinder certificates. Woowee! read more

I had a 90 minute deep tissue with Kim today. It was simply lovely. Her technique was firm put gentle and seemed to include a lot of acupressure. Afterwards, I also purchased a massage with her for my husband's holiday gift. The Spa is clean and staff friendly. A great area to shop in afterwards. read more

When it comes to making hair appointments, I am the worst. I don't know why I put it off and put it off, but I usually wait until my hair looks like a wild mop during a tornado (I have curly hair). So, I was incredibly stoked when I was able to get a last minute appointment today to get my hair cut. I was given to Rebecca and I feel compelled to say that I have never been happier with a hair cut. I find that a lot of stylists hate cutting curly hair - but this girl knows her stuff. I've never, ever walked out of a salon with my curls looking better than when I do them myself. Turns out she is Deva-trained (you curly hair people will know what this means) and she handled my curls like a pro. She actually commented several times about wanting to make sure I was happy with the length of my hair and that it wouldn't be too short - which was something I'm not worried about anyway. Put it this way - for someone who usually goes 5-6 months before breaking down and getting a haircut, I have already scheduled a coloring appointment with Rebecca for next week. My mom and I stopped by on a Saturday afternoon for massages. The spa is very clean, quiet, and relaxing. The staff is friendly and professional. I had a 60 minute deep tissue massage. So I went here one time about 6 years ago. It was for a deep tissue massage. About 10 min after starting the massage, I communicated to the therapist that I was there for a deep tissue and not for a gentle massage where she barely did anything - ie: her hands barley touched my skin, it is as if I was getting Reiki. At this point my therapist said, "let's just say this massage is over". I walked away upset and nearly in tears. Now I realize 6 years later she was likely racist and didn't want to touch me. Why else would my session have ended ten minutes in when all I did was communicate that I was there for deep tissue (I get frequent massages and always communicate with my therapist what I am looking for and what areas need focus). Anyway, it took me a while to realize what happened here 6 years ago. Don't support this place - their therapists are discriminatory or they just don't know what deep tissue is. read more

Make sure you quadruple check the service you booked! I scheduled, confirmed & talked to my masseuse about a 90min deep tissue massage. After requesting more pressure a few times I was finally told "next time you should book a deep tissue". I left feeling more relaxed but definitely not like I got a massage because personally I need deep tissue for it to effective. I had a haircut a few years ago here and asked for the length to be a little past my shoulders. She cut it up to my chin and all my hair was collected off the floor. I had VERY long hair so not sure what they were doing with the hair but there was 12 inches of hair for sure that is god knows where now. Also, I had color there before too and so did my mom. Neither of us felt like it lasted long at all. My mom also had a bad experience with a facial and with brow tinting. If you're looking for a good facial Michele is amazing! The facial itself gets the desired outcome- for me hydrating and clearing up my skin. I've had both the purifying and microdermabrasion. Possibly even better, the experience itself if more relaxing than any facial or spa treatment I've had. Literally fell asleep on her table which I didn't think was possible during a facial. Sorry to say that my experience here wasn't so great. We live nearby so I really wanted to like this spa. I went here for a full body massage. The massage itself was okay, not the best and not the worst. My masseuse was Jacqueline, I believe. She did not ask me what my preferred pressure level was, did not offer me water, in fact after the massage she just left the room, did not even say goodbye and I didn't see her again. I suppose if I was spending a decent amount of money on a relaxing spa experience I would prefer a spa that is more courteous. Perhaps it is best not to look like me if going to this salon if you get my drift. read more

Based on that I booked my first ever facial and that was the most amazing thing I've done. Bettter than any massage I've had. I booked with Christy and I'll definitely be booking again. I have been getting massages with Kim for a long time and she is terrific. However, the management here is narrow-minded with poor business sense. BEWARE: if you make an appointment, you are REQUIRED to leave a credit card deposit of 50% for ALL services. So...if you are getting a wax and massage, or a hair cut and color, you MUST give them a 50% deposit on the entire service before they will secure your appointment. And you have to cancel within a certain period of time to avoid penalty. OUTRAGEOUS! I don't know how they manage to keep excellent employees here, because this is a total turnoff! And it's not as if this is the only gig in town. And...parking is brutal! I would have avoid this place like the plague. It is EVERYTHING that is WRONG with the MAINLINE! read more

I have nothing but words of praise for Cole Wellness Spa, particularly for two of their extraordinarily talented staffers! The spa was in a great location and maintained a very "main line" feel without the steep price tag. Despite the competitive prices, nothing was lacking...You could see the state of the art equipment and products and the staff, especially the receptionist, was warm and welcoming. Spa treatment rooms were large and furnished beautifully (including top notch equipment). Today I received the best facial I've had in over 5 years from Andi. She spent time with me beforehand discussing my needs and areas of concern. I've never had someone so knowledgable on the other side of this conversation! I always feel like my concerns go in one ear and out the other because most spas just have their typical facial they perform. I had just returned from vacation and the sun had definitely gotten the best of my usually cooperative skin. Andi was able to customize my treatment (within reason of the facial package I chose) to ensure I walked out feeling 100 times better then when I came in. She gave great product recommendations and worked with my budget. Also, her massages in between masks and such were stellar! Usually the estheticians skimp on the massages, but not Andi! I cannot wait to see her again! Next time I'm booking the maximum amount of time possible with her because she was simply fabulous. I also have to give a huge shout out to one of their massage therapists, Kim E. She recommended Andi and brought me to Cole. Kim is simply the best masseuse I've ever had. I've been seeing Kim for about 4-5 years, prior to her joining Cole and wouldn't consider anyone else. Kim has the most therapeutic techniques and really takes her time working out knots without being painful. Her hands are magic!!!! I didn't like it. Technician wanted to change the facial I chose which of course was more money. It wasnt relaxing. A brief shoulder rub at the end. It was cold. Honestly my skin didn't really look any different. She said she would give me water when I came down to pay only tried to get me to buy products. 130 plus tip was not worth it with the experience. I have been to Cole several times for their waxing services. They use hard wax which does not require strips, which is great if you have sensitive skin and are prone to ingrown hairs, etc. Would highly recommend both the girls! Prices are fair considering you're going to a spa and not the back room of a nail salon. read more

Had a 90 minute signature massage with Betsy before my haircut. It was very relaxing, evidenced by the fact I fell asleep during it. Followed up my massage with haircut with Becky. I've been going to Becky for over 10 years for hair and color. I'm never disappointed when I leave and she has a wide range to meet my varying moods from funky blond highlights to a sophisticated bob to show off my natural Asian hair.
