I called multiple times to see what was up with the phone ringing and then completely going to voicemail indicating she closed her phone. Maya did not inform Mrs. Ken of any possible circumstances that may have arisen to postpone my appointment. Moreover, I had to call Mrs. Ken to find out what was happening since Maya refused to call me back or send me a message. It was through Mrs. Ken that I found out that Maya: 1. She already spoke to me; 2. Already did my service; 3. Had confirmed all my information; and 4. Was being professional. If I had already done my service, why would I be there and waste over 30 minutes waiting for a response? It speaks volumes on Maya's professionalism that she deemed a client unworthy of the simple courtesy of corresponding with them and then lie to her employer. Emergencies happen and had I been informed I would completely understand but the fact that lying and making a client be left in the dark is incredibly disgusting behavior that is not appropriate. The upseting part is the fact that if someone can lie like that to their clients and employer, who can speak on the quality of the services offered? Perhaps I dodged a nail infection and I won't thankfully ever know. Mrs. Ken is very kind and nice. I felt bad interrupting her weekend due to this. I had gone longer than usual and so I was sure that it would be uncomfortable. Melody made the experience so much better and she's def one of the best waxers I've ever been to and I've been getting Brazilians for over 5 years now. I walked in and they had an immediate opening. I got Nu (I think this is how you spell her name) to do my nails. She did a pedicure. I really liked how thorough she was. They even do a bit of a hot stone after. I got a really light colored Essie Pink (see attached image). I tried to put it on my foot but it didn't take as well as I would have hoped. Luckily, I was able to tell Nu and she quickly removed my nail polish and found a suitable alternate with no complaints. I ended up getting a manicure. The Essie light pink looked better on the hand vs foot. She did a great job. My polish lasted for more than a week which is a real rarity. The only downside is the driers are pretty far from where they were doing my nails. They do accept Venmo with tip which added to the convenience.

Making an appointment this way was quick and easy and the communication through the messaging was good! I had high expectations and walking into the salon because this place is rated 4.5 stars but my excitement fell flat when I walked in the door and was approached (not greeted) by a woman asking me if I had an appointment, I said yes. I can't recall if she asked my name but she walked me to a manicure station and started the process to remove the dipping powder. Once my nails were wrapped, she instructed me to sit at another station. Minutes later, another woman completed the process and then cut and shaped my nails. She talked about what she was doing while shaping my nails and was more affable than the first woman I encountered. The atmosphere of the salon is dry and cold and did not feel "spa-like" at all... There was a tv on with closed captioning and the only sound that I remember hearing was chatter, which was a mixture of the technicians speaking amongst themselves and the conversation of some patrons (who I believe were teenaged girls). If I could, I would have rated this place 3.5 stars: 3 stars because I received the service that I wanted and they were able to accommodate me with short notice.
