After 5-6 appointments at Head to Toe, I sadly have to give them only 1star. I should have known that a place that doesn't use liners in their foot baths shouldn't be trusted, but I loved their pedicure treatments so I kept coming back. At my last appointment the tech cut me (twice), and now I have a toenail fungus. I don't ever remember seeing the nail techs take their tools out of autoclave bags, so I'm guessing they don't autoclave anything either. Gross. If you want to risk getting a fungal infection, have a great time. They do massage your feet really nicely, so maybe that's worth the risk for you. But I've learned my lesson and won't ever be going back. read more

I usually get my pedicures every few months (or so) and they happily accommodate my spontaneous last-minute urges/requests. I've been going here since I was 14 years old and now I'm 21, the staff is so so SO nice and sweet, the prices are fair for basically an hour and half facial. Their spa beds and heated underneath and it incorporates the same remote control set up as a Tempura-pedic bed has so you're always super comfortable. They use a steamer on your face as well to get your pores open and play relaxing music. Today I had the most amazing pedicure of my life. I can tend to be overly dramatic however this is no exaggeration. I had asked my friends for a recommendation for someone who will help me with my painful ingrown toenails. My friend Rosalie sent me to Head to Toe Healthy Spa. What an exquisite space Thu has created. It's so pretty and so welcoming and there is nothing overly stimulating in there. There are no unnecessary televisions, the music is peaceful, and there are fresh flowers on display. Somehow there is also no chemical smell in in the space which is very amazing. I truly experienced the most luxurious pedicure of my life. Thu made sure that my toes felt healthy and pain-free and her skill is truly remarkable. So, I decided to get a Brazillian. That refers to a full front and back wax of your nether regions. I had never had a bikini wax before and was curious about it, so I decided not to go half-way, but to do the whole thing! I am a chicken about pain, so I have never made so bold as to request this service anywhere else, but Thu and Tina and Hannah have earned my complete trust and confidence in their products, professionalism and fine-tuned skills. I go here regularly for The-Best-Pedicure-In-The-World, and their wonderful body scrubs, manicures, and facials, plus eyebrow waxing, so it was a no-brainer that I would turn to them with my most delicate and private parts for hair removal. I started with a glass of wine--love this place. I thought it would be awkward going in for this type of service, but all the ladies consider it as a daily occurrence, just like manicures and massages. No awkwardness at all. I was brought upstairs of this lovely old home turned peaceful spa into the private waxing room. Not gonna lie, I was a bundle of nerves. Thu (pronounced "Two") was quite at her ease and did her best to put me at my ease while she prepared her materials. She asked if I would like her to step out while I undressed from the waist down, but I told her to stay or I would get too nervous with her coming back in! She tactfully turned her back to me and attended to preparing the wax. I laid on the comfy table with the warm light above me and, well, let it all hang out. Nothing daunted, this professional lady turned to me and began. First she spritzed a sanitizing agent and wiped down the sides of the area. Then she stirred the wax--this was unlike the wax you use for eyebrows and the like, this looked like shimmery, neon, bluish, purple fluid--like electric purple. Wearing gloves and using a wax-stick, she applied the wax--it was Quite Warm when it went on, but quickly cooled into a solid mass--the only way I can describe it is like a molten jolly rancher that cools into a rock. At this point, I realized I had reached the point of no return! There is no removing That without following the usual procedure--you can't wash this off, haha! I was so nervous about the removal, but Thu has serious skills. I kid you not, the whole thing took about 45 minutes, (she said she babied me, and that it usually is only about a half hour), and in that time I had 12 individual seconds of pain. That's it. Each pull of the wax did hurt--for one second--then zero pain. None. Not any. She uses her gloved hand to push the skin down and that takes the pain completely away. I believe there were about 12 sections removed, then I was clean as a whistle and soft as baby skin! Lasted for weeks! I warn you, when you go to the bathroom, do not follow the waxing up with cheap toilet paper--it will stick--use the good stuff until you shower off the residue of the special cream she applies at the end. In case you are curious, and have never had a bikini or brazillian wax, please know, there is nothing sexy about getting it done, the process is very clinical, but with the pampering of a spa. You think about these things when your goods are on display. Also, this reportedly, and in my experience, does not result in in-grown hairs, as shaving can cause. I will never, ever go anywhere else for any waxing service. I have heard my sisters and friends talk about their mediocre experiences and horror stories--I don't ever have to experience anything but the utmost of care--I found Head to Toe Healthy Spa. read more

Spa is absolutely spotless and is in a renovated home with separate rooms for each service. There are only 3 pedi chairs that are the most comfortable that I have ever sat in. The pedicures are an hour long and they do an amazing lower leg exfoliation and massage with fresh lavender and rosemary. The women that work their have integrity for what they do and it's not a revolving door like most nail salons nor are their 10 chairs all stacked up together making it feel like a production line.This is a true spa like experience and I have nothing but great things to say. I have been here twice and will absolutely be back again. The coffee there is amazing and Rose is wonderful. I am a firm believer in you get what you pay for. If you want a sub par mani pedi for $40 there are plenty of those nail places. This is a true spa and the service for the cost is exceptionally fair. read more

This place is seriously the best. I see Tina (Tu and Hannah are also very good) and I am not exaggerating when I say she is the BEST manicurist I have ever been to. My nails always look flawless and every single time I get my nails done there, I have constant compliments on my nails, even from random people. She cleans up the cuticles AND the skin around the nails and it seriously makes a major difference. I recently moved out of the area and I now travel an hour just for a shellac manicure with Tina. There are also several other customers who travel 40+ minutes just to go here. I was actually hesitant about writing this review because I don't want a lot of people to find out about this place. I forgot I had it and just called to see if I could still use it and give the spa a try (It was valid only 1 yr and expired recently on 12/24/13). I've also had a deep tissue massage that I really enjoyed. My most recent experience was a bikini wax and I was very nervous before going in for the service. Head To Toe Healthy Spa is located in a beautiful area of Wayne in a 3-story home. Upon walking in the receptionist Chelsea greeted me and to my surprise the woman who would be waxing me - Anita - greeted me also. Chelsea immediately asked me if I'd like something to drink and I said a bottled water would be great and she pulled a chilled bottle of water from the fridge for me. Chelsea also said to help myself to refreshments - but I was kind of nervous about the waxing so I didn't want to eat anything. There was a layout of grapes, biscuits, and ginger cookies. There were also cups for tea or coffee. She was very hospitable and made me feel like I was at home. I sat down in the lobby area with Anita while the sound of piano music played gently in the background. Chelsea and Anita talked and chatted with me as I had arrived rather early for my appointment. Anita was very friendly and it helped to calm me and relax me before my wax. I also sipped on some coconut mango tea while I chatted with Anita; and Chelsea even made my second cup of tea for me. Talk about service! After a while Anita went upstairs to prepare the room and said she would be down to beckon me when she was ready. In about two minutes she was back saying she was ready. She gave me instructions to disrobe and how to lay on the table and what to cover and left the room. She knocked to see if I was ready and then entered the room. She really talked me through the whole process and kept me distracted with the chatting. Overall it really didn't hurt. Please take note that I took 2 aspirin before arriving - which probably definitely helped to numb that area. The left side of the groin was the most painful for me. But EVERYWHERE else was a piece of cake. The thigh area meeting the groin wasn't even painful. The back area did not hurt at all. I was really impressed. They use all ORGANIC products as well. It was my first time getting a brazilian wax and it was a breeze - thanks to Anita! Thanks Anita! I will definitely be going back to Anita - she is charming and a pleasure to talk with - and this Spa just felt like HOME. I know it sounds cheesy but its so TRUE. Try Head To Healthy Spa you'll be GLAD you did. :) And it's $10 off for the SUMMER - you can't beat that! P.S. - I am a real customer and I was not paid to endorse the company. Horrible experience!! I called a week and a half in advance and made appointments for 3 massages for my sisters bachelorette party. I drove two hours, picked my sister up and went in for our appointment only to find that they had me penciled in for the day before! There was a language barrier when I called to make the appointments, which would not have been a problem AT ALL if they had at least managed to get the date right. They said they tried to call me the day before, sorry, but my cellphone doesn't lie! There was no missed call. I'm guessing they wrote my number down incorrectly too?? The woman at the desk didn't try to get us in, nor did she seem sorry at all. In the end we went one block away to Toppers. They had appointments available and we had an awesome, relaxing experience, no thanks to Head to Toe Healthy Spa. I'd rather stick to writing only good reviews, but this place almost ruined my sisters special day! Two thumbs DOWN! read more
