You. The wait was worth it!! She took my raggedy grown out balayage and gave me the blonde bombshell highlights I had dreamed of. If you've ever gotten highlights, you know the process takes hours. Michelle was great and kept me informed of every step along the way (how much longer the dye needed, when/why she was adding toner, what products she used during my blowout, etc.) Unfortunately I forget Michelle's assistant's name but she was also amazing. Looking forward to my next appt! COVID safety note: upon arrival, clients waited outside until their name was called. Once inside, temperatures are taken. The signage is a little hard to see, but there is free off-street parking available which - if you have been to Wayne before - is worth a star all by itself. I'll be honest when I say I don't have much for a hair stylist to work with - if you know what I mean - but the ladies at John Andrews were able to squeeze me in on short notice and made me feel like I should be on the cover of a magazine. You are a little bit cooler just by walking into the salon because it has a very sophisticated feel to it, but the cheerful and attentive service only makes the whole experience better. Just like I expect a chef to like to eat or a carpenter to have nice kitchen cabinets, I am always more comfortable when I walk into a hair salon and the stylists look professional and have taken the time to do their own hair and makeup. The stylists at John Andrews were friendly, skilled, and stylish. The end result was that I got a great looking cut for my event this weekend. I only wished I lived closer so John Andrews could be my go-to salon. Give them a shot - you'll be glad you did.

Day 1 Two of my friends recommended microblading to me…read more I got impulsive, I saw a groupon and called the artist Jackie whose phone number was on the groupon page. She said I could go in on the same day at "Salon d'artist" in Wayne PA . She is very personable and I liked her. She gave me an hour of service. I was happy with the result and venmoed her the groupon price $240 (as friends and family so she didn't need to pay fees). I was planning to tip her at the second touch up service. Jackie gave me instructions to apply aquaphor every couple of hours and take lukewarm showers. Jackie also told me that 40% of my microblading color would be gone and there was no need to worry. She would fix everything for me with a follow up touch up service which usually takes 10-20 minutes I followed Jackie's instructions of applying aquaphor every couple of hours and didn't take a shower until day 4. Day 4: When I got up I was upset to see a big piece of scalp peeled off my eyebrow without any color left . I sent a picture to Jackie right away and she said my skin was too dry. I explained the picture was taken right after I got up from bed . She said she would fix it. I said Thank you and told her I would start taking lukewarm showers. After I took my shower, while applying aquaphor, a lot more scalps fell off from my eyebrows. I texted Jackie, she said it's too much scabbing. Day 8 My eyebrows became ugly. Too much color was gone. I would say compared to day one 80% of the color has been gone. I texted Jackie the photos and said I was extremely upset with the result and it shouldn't be like that. I said I didn't want the touchup service and asked for a $200 partial refund . Jackie said she would get back to me later. I said I would wait until the next day. Day 9 I texted Jackie for an answer and she got back to me. She kindly took consideration of my pain during the first service and agreed the second touch up service wouldn't work for me. She said she would need to talk to the salon Manager JoAnn and possibly partially refund me. She asked me to wait 3 or 4 days as JoAnn was on vacation. Day 14 I asked Jackie whether she talked to her manager. Jackie asked me to call JoAnn . I called JoAnn , her only words to me were "We wouldn't do anything for you unless you came in". So we made an appointment. Day 20 I arrived on time for the appointment. Jackie was having clients. JoAnn and I briefly went over the whole thing in the waiting area. She said she would look at my eyebrows at Jackie's room when Jackie became available as the waiting area was too dark. About about 30 minutes' wait, Jackie, JoAnn and I had the discussion. Here is the summary of our arguments: JoAnn and Jackie didn't deny my eyebrow result was bad. JoAnn and Jackie said it's normal to have bad results after the first service and sometimes it might take 2 or 3 times of the touch up service. . JoAnn insisted that I wouldn't let them finish the service so she would not refund me. I insisted that I wasn't warned that the first time service result could be this bad and I was expecting better results and the touch up is mostly to repair small areas. In my case if the touch up is supposed to fix it, it would take much more time than the first time service and it might even take two trips . I do not want to go through the same process again: being questioned about not applying enough aquaphor, and looking at my mirror every day and getting upset. At the end, I made it clear to JoAnn that I didn't ask for a full refund. Since I didn't want the touch up service which probably would take much longer than the first time service, why wouldn't she refund me partially? She said she would get back to me. Day 21 JoAnn hasn't got back to me. I have to mention Jackie is always nice. She never dodged my messages. She kindly offered to clean up my eyebrows (remove residual ink in some areas as it's too ugly). JoAnn seems to be a charming person despite being scary on the phone. It's just this experience is too disappointing for me and it took so much of my time and my energy. ------------ editing to add: Late in the afternoon, JoAnn sent me an email but she twisted many details in the email. I cleared up her misstatements in my reply. ----------- editing to add: Even the transaction happened initially between me and Jackie, when Jackied asked me to deal with JoAnn, out of respect for Jackie I didn't pressure Jackie. JoAnn challenged me to go to BBB or a local court. I did go to BBB. Then Jackie started to harrass my company saying I am malicious? I finally realized Jackie wasn't innocent as I thought she was. She is complicit.

I had just returned from vacation and the sun had definitely gotten the best of my usually cooperative skin. Andi was able to customize my treatment (within reason of the facial package I chose) to ensure I walked out feeling 100 times better then when I came in. She gave great product recommendations and worked with my budget. Also, her massages in between masks and such were stellar! Usually the estheticians skimp on the massages, but not Andi! I cannot wait to see her again! Next time I'm booking the maximum amount of time possible with her because she was simply fabulous. I also have to give a huge shout out to one of their massage therapists, Kim E. She recommended Andi and brought me to Cole. Kim is simply the best masseuse I've ever had. I've been seeing Kim for about 4-5 years, prior to her joining Cole and wouldn't consider anyone else. Kim has the most therapeutic techniques and really takes her time working out knots without being painful. Her hands are magic!!!! I see a spa day with both of these wonderful ladies in my very near future!

My first time at Lauren Hair Style and I think I've found my new hair salon. I had been going to a different local hair salon and my hair kept coming out brassy. After several (OK a few years, I hate changing stylists) I gave up and went to Lauren's based on the recommendation of a friend of a friend. Michele did my hair and she really took her time to understand what I wanted and to make that happen. My teenagers actually noticed (I'm usually invisible) saying that I looked good! The salon is bigger than it looks from the outside and they have purses, hair clips and other things to look at and buy if you are so inclined. They bring you water (plain or sparking) as you walk in and there is coffee tea as well. What I really liked is that the people working there really seemed happy to be there and very down to earth, including the owner. Not a snooty mainline salon, but very lovely. read more

The best salon I've ever been to, and the only people that have ever listened to what I want & follow it to the letter, & it comes out even better than I expected it to. Everyone there knows my name and who I am, and I don't get my hair done more than once a year since I go to school far away. Every time I walk in I am greeted by everyone and this is truly the best staff Lauren could have hired. Lauren is one of the most genuine people I have ever met, and only hires the best people to work alongside her. They genuinely get to know you and form that relationship that I have never found anywhere else. I have never walked out of there without feeling more than satisfied! read more

I have been looking for a stylist for a long time, my hair has gotten more curly over the years. I wanted to make a change and stop straightening my hair everyday. I made an appointment with Jose, he did a fabulous job and was kind enough to teach me how to do my hair to bring out the curl. Fantastic stylist and a great guy, he makes your trip to the salon fun! My only complaint about the Lauren's is that the parking is tight, everything else is awesome. read more
