Empanada and rellena
Carito P.

Have been meaning to stop by to this Colombian Restaurant for the longest time and finally got to go with a friend. The service was okay but needs improving, appetizers empanada (beef cake) was alright usually I will get 1st one and if it was awesome I would order a second one but this was not the case. Morcilla (blood sausage) had good flavour but unfortunately it was cold. Bandeja paisa was good and a good size portion for the price; I got the small one. Also my friend asked for the daily special written on the daily special menu and was told that item was no longer available.

Interesting combination. For the price cool food. Pretty basic meal I got but ws ok nevertheless. Ppl were raving about this particular dish but to me it ws just ok. Cld be my own personal take on this particular Columbia's dish not to say tht the meal ws absolutely unenjoyable or lacked anything in particular. Would I order it again? No. Would I try something else next time or even come here next time. Sure.

bandeja paisa, empanadas

My coworker introduced me to this place a couple months ago and I love it so much! I always get the bandeja paisa and the meat pie empanadas and share with my boyfriend. 1 plate is enough to fill 2 people plenty!

I ordered take out on a Friday night they were very accommodating that particular dish I asked for all chicharrones instead of the assorted meats that usually come with the dish and they didn't give me a problem or charge me more for it. The chicharron wasn't as crispy as I hope for and the egg was over cooked. Decent price for everything it came with rice beans plantains eggs chicharron avocado and a tortilla

This was just a random choice, but a GREAT one! Didn't know what we were in the mood for and found it driving around. Small, easy to miss. We ordered what everyone else on here recommended the Bandeja Paisa and it was soooo good! We shared the small portion and it was enough for us. The staff was friendly, nice, and attentive. I got the mango juice with water and it tasted like a mango in a cup! Will definitely come back!

Wow rich everything, food, attention and cleanliness, I loved the very demanding Paisa Tray, the very good arepas, and I leave you a photo.

This place is serious! They know their food! I ordered bandeja paises (grande) and my Amore ordered baby churascco. We were both blown away. Their green chimichurri sauce is incredible. The service is spot on. They are extremely nice!

Where my parents live there are a lot of Colombians so of course there are a lot of Colombian restaurants around. I was shocked that this restaurant was not listed on yelp yet so I added the business. This place is good, the food here is great. It was empty because of the Colombian festival that was going on in Downtown. We were there earlier and we were heading back to my parents when my dad said he wanted a bandeja and empanadas so we stopped by. All the employees greeted us right when we came in and welcomed us. My mom knows the owner she was at the colombian festival selling her restaurants food. It was very successful, because the line was very long. The best dish here is the Bandeja Paisa it almost has the taste of Colombia not quite there yet. Over all the food is good and I give this place two thumbs up.

Great Colombian grub in west houston. Try the mondongo. Aside from the great food, the customer service is great

First off, the service is top notch. The staff are friendly, attentive, and make you feel right at home -- exactly what you want when you're starting your day. Special thanks to Katy ! The food? Everything I've tried for breakfast has been straight-up delicious. No misses here. My favorites? The Capuccino and the Pan de Bono!! And for desert , the passion fruit mousse ! And the vibe is just so inviting -- super family-friendly, It's relaxed, comfortable, and has that warm neighborhood feel that's hard to find these days.

It fills the space in the best way possible and immediately pulls you in for the full experience. One thing that really stood out to me was the customer service. The staff was genuinely friendly and welcoming, which, unfortunately, hasn't always been my experience at other Colombian restaurants. Many places I've visited primarily speak Spanish, which can sometimes make ordering a challenge. Here, I felt completely at ease and well taken care of. We started with the beef empanadas, and I highly recommend them. The crust was perfectly crispy, while the filling was soft, flavorful, and comforting. Paired with their salsa, which had just the right kick of spice, it was an excellent combination that made for a strong start to the meal. I ordered my go-to favorite, the Bandejita. The presentation was beautiful and appetizing, but sadly, the bold flavors I'm used to just weren't quite there for me. The flat steak tasted under-seasoned, and I actually found myself adding salt, which I've never had to do before at other restaurants. The pork sausage also seemed a bit dry inside, but my husband said that's how it should be, so perhaps that was just my preference. The beans had a different flavor than what I'm accustomed to as well, not bad by any means, just noticeably different. On a positive note, the pork belly was perfectly crispy, exactly how it should be, and the plantains were sweet and cooked to perfection. Overall, the menu looks incredibly tempting, and there are still plenty of dishes I'd love to come back and try. While I may skip the Bandejita next time, I definitely plan on returning to explore more of what they have to offer.
