Love me some greasy pizza. I usually get the family pack and eat it for days but this time I went with the mini pack. The mini pack has a large cheese + 1 topping pizza and 20 wings (boneless or bone-in). The family pack has a large cheese + 1 topping pizza and a bucket of wings. I wished there was a pack in between because 20 wings is never enough and 50 is too much. The packs are pricy. You'll be paying 60 dollars for the mini pack and $100 for the family pack. The pizza was cooked to perfection. Usually with La Nova, I like their wings better than their pizza but today and last few times, their pizza has been gettting better while their wings have been getting worse. I went with bbq pit style. It wasn't as crispy or charcoal-ly as I was hoping. Blue cheese is always lit and if you get ranch, you need to get your taste buds checked out. Waiting area is simple. Just a couple of seats by the window. They have enough space for 10 people ish. Service was quick and effortless. They are always working hard and so it was a quick and pleasant exchange. Parking is decent. They are in a mini plaza and have 20 or so spots between them and the other few businesses there. They have a ton of other things on their menu including chicken finger subs, fries, salads, tacos etc. Never had of those. I strictly go for the pizza. So why only 3 stars? I think their pizza is getting better and I was extremely happy with my last order but their wings are starting to get bad. I've been disappointed the last 3 times and so I'm starting to think that maybe my love affair with La Nova might need to end. Or if you want a slice and a couple of wings, or if its your first time to Buffalo and want a place to get chicken and pizza, this might be a the place to go. But if you're like me and been here multiple times and want to best of pizza and wings and feel like the quality is starting to lack here, then you may want to check out another place.

Cool local pizza chain. Wanted to try something 'local', and was told my a local to give it a shot. Service was good. Food was just ok. Cheese pizza was a 6/10. Pepperoni was a 7/10. Cheese breadsticks were a 6/10 (mostly over baked crust).

Great food fast service tasty wings. Great waiting area nice and clean able to sit down and enjoy a slice if needed.

The Big Joe 30"

Ordered their biggest pizza a Big Joe 30" for a big party & it fed everyone! It was actually super delicious & made perfectly. The pizza was even delicious when it was cold. The only issue we ran into was figuring out how to get the pizza inside the car, so make sure you have a big SUV with seats that go down otherwise you'll be stuck. I am super pleased with La Nova!

Broccoli Chicken & Cheese Slice $4.64

I love that they have hot, fresh slices ready to go. Regularly featured are, broccoli & chicken, steak & Cheese, sausage & pepper, pepperoni with a few different crusts, mushrooms. They are a slight pricey, but the food is stacked and you get what you pay for

I grew up across from the W Ferry location in the 80s and having lived in cities around the world I can say I always compare restaurants to those found in Western NY. IMO, La Nova on W. Ferry still to this day has the number one BBQ wings found anywhere and decent hot wings as well (but I prefer Duffs). Their classic Buffalo style pizza is very good but I prefer "Just Pizza". La Nova subs (particularly their Turkey sub) are also very good but be sure to tell them what condiments you want on it or you may get a dry sub which is not good eats. Their beef soft tacos are also surprisingly good for a pizzeria but only if the meat is hot when you eat it. (Don't let it get cold or let the lettuce get soggy sitting with the hot meat). The Williamsville location is a very sorry excuse for a restaurant bearing the La Nova name, very inconsistent quality, lack of attention to detail. Drive the extra 20m to the W Ferry location on the West Side, it's well worth it.

La Nova's pizza is so good, I went there twice for lunch in one week. I love that they have slices ready to buy. I love the sesame seeds on the crust and the option to get thin crust or regular. The chicken and broccoli is my new favorite pizza. If you're in the Buffalo, NY area, La Nova Pizzeria is a must for pizza and wings. #HappyEating

Sesame seeds on the crust was an awesome addition.

AWFUL!! Couldn't even bite into a chicken parmesan sub. The cheese was burnt, the chicken was hard. Customer service was rude. Never again.

The GPS took us to the first location that opened (the waitress said the 1960s) a long time ago. The building is sitting at an angle from the road so go to the right and turn in to park or go past and turn right for the parking lot. Middle of the afternoon on a Thursday they weren't too busy. We were seated immediately and waited on quick. I wanted some clarity with the wing heat. Some places hot is mild or hot is burn your face off. She clarified the medium hot is hot so that's what I decided on for an order of 6. My sister isn't so much of a wing person so she decided on a grilled cheese. The waitress was pleasant and answered all the questions we had. The restaurant itself isn't too big but can seat a lot of people. Total wing vibe. Lots of different flavors and quantities went by...everything looked tasty and fresh. They had Yuengling on tap so that's what I ordered. She had a pepsi. Food arrived fast. The aroma was to die for (ok it burns the eyes a little...). Came with celery and blue cheese. The wings were amazing, some of the best I have ever eaten. Crunchy celery and cool dipping sauce. Bigger than most that I have ordered and very freshly prepared. After 6 I was filled up...but I ordered another brew just to wash it all down. If you're in Buffalo (or the area) it's definitely worth stopping to have a treat. Other Buffalo favorites are on the menu as well (Beef on Weck sandwich. We will definitely be back, more flavors to try and locations to enjoy.

The sandwich was great and really salty (per the custom), but the bread became soggy pretty quick. I would dip it in the jus and try to bite it but the meat just couldn't be bit through and no matter how hard I tried it just made a sloppy mess. That was disappointing. The wings were ordered Medium Hot which they warn you is "Very Hot"... but it isn't. They were good, but next time I will order Hot because there was little to no burn. The fries were the frozen variety but nice, skinny and crispy. I liked dipping them in the leftover wing sauce. Next time, I will skip the sandwich and just get wings and fries. Hopefully it won't take me 5 years to come back.

The Hostess was very friendly & accommodating. Sooner after our waitress Hannah came over with menus & asking if we would like something to drink, we ordered a beer & a soda. After receiving our drinks we placed our order for a Broiled Cajun & a Chicken Caesar Wrap with fries, my fish was ordered with Home fries. When the meals arrived the Wrap looked great and turned out to be really good as for my Fish, I was totally surprised regarding the size. To me it was smaller than 1/2 a fish and based on the lack of Cajun spice i know it was not going to be tasting very Cajun (I was right, zero Cajun flavor). The Home Fries where well over done and quantity was unbelievably small, the coleslaw was very tasty but not cold, which is a turn-off for me, Also NO Mac. Salad. Overall for $18.95 the Fish was not good! the Wrap was good. The beer was not cold either I had to ask for a pint glass with ice. Probably would not return for Fish. I loved all the sauces we tried (saucy hot cajun, medium, and garlic parm). The wings were perfectly crisp, and the steak pizza had a ton of flavor. Definitely a heavier meal, but if you're bringing someone from out of town who wants great wings, this is a spot worth taking them to.

Fun. The menu is pretty big for a bar, a mix of regular bar food and a bunch of other options. Our waitress was really friendly and told me the French onion soup is one of their popular items, so that got me excited. It came out fast and it was pretty good. The croutons were honestly my favorite part, super seasoned and actually had flavor. This was only my second time having French onion soup though and I'm still on the fence... it felt like it was missing something, or maybe I just don't get the hype yet lol My friend got the chicken broccoli alfredo and I got the cajun chicken linguine. The portions are HUGE, like you're definitely not leaving hungry. She said hers didn't have much flavor even after adding salt and pepper and was already planning how she was going to fix it at home. My chicken was a little burnt so it was dry and kind of messed with the flavor, but the pasta itself was good. I loved that they added a little bread to soak up the sauce. The huge portions made up for the bland flavors. Not even gonna lie, a few bites in my stomach said "absolutely not" which is no fault of theirs, 100% on me for going all in on dairy, so my friend ended up taking both meals home. Overall I'd recommend it if you like a bar vibe, big portions, and solid food. 8.3/10

We ordered them dry so we could try several sauces, and to their credit, the wings themselves were cooked perfectly. The sauces, however, were underwhelming. We tried the garlic parmesan, the original, and the extreme heat sauce, which I believe was called "Suicidal." They all seemed to rely heavily on cayenne and butter, with limited complexity and less heat than expected. Maybe I've been spoiled by other wing spots with more creative sauces and better blue cheese and ranch, but these just didn't stand out. That said, the service was great, and I appreciated the staff. I'm glad I went for the history, but based on the food alone, it didn't live up to the hype.
