This is a historic place date back to 1793. Came with my fam after visiting Basilica Sacre Couer. Staff is very friendly/accomodating. We got seated right away facing the patio. Fast service. 11-14 euro for huge breakfast:eggs/ham/salad, free baguette (cant beat that when u compare to US pricing and serving)The size of the breakfast platter can be divided by 2 people, good portion. Delicious.

Perhaps a little touristy, but you really you really can't go wrong if you sit outside in the courtyard. You're paying for that. The meal was fine, but I'd say if you're looking for a glass of wine outside, out of the sun, it's wonderful. Wait staff are very friendly, and they know you're a tourist and are ok with it. My colleagues got a bunch of dessert and seemed in heaven, but I passed and just ate more bread. Lots of local artists looking for tourists around the park, but great for kids too.

Food was very good! Many gluten free and vegetarian options. My friend got the chicken and said it was a smidge dry, but still good!!

Super touristy location and place, but when you are hot, tired and hungry, it's A OK to go. I ate a delicious salad and had nice wine so, no complaints. Server was kind and friendly.

It is patio seating with an unobstructed view of the Montmartre artists and people-watching at its finest. If you have tired legs, need a break and OK with paying 10 euro for a glass of coke, this restaurant is great! The hostess is real friendly and is quick to hand you a menu if you're just browsing the menu from the sidewalk. She also took a lot of pictures of us. Service is rude and awful, server is Jeremy who also got chewed on in French by our next table neighbor French couple for being rude, curt, and smug. Bad servers like jeremy should not be in the touristy areas coz it leaves a bad taste in the mouth - literally and figuratively! Jeremy aside, It's the perfect spot if you're there just to relax, take your time, use WiFi, use toilets, and watch the world go by. We ordered 2 mussels in white wine (12.99 euro each and came with French Fries) and a glass of coke for 10 euros! Montmartre is so pretty!

Situated in Montmartre walking distance from Sacre Couer it looks like a French postcard of a French café with tables on the sidewalk. It is in a terrific location where you can watch the world go by as you eat, an ideal setting. Now, let's talk food. If all they served was the French onion soup then it would be a five star restaurant all day long. My wife had the pasta bolognese and it was only ok, I had the cochon lait a pork dish and while the presentation was nice the pork was over cooked and dry even the bread had a weird taste. I would honestly give them one star if not for the French onion soup.

Seriously, Paris, artists, and great food! This is the oldest Bistro in Paris. It was founded in 1793. That should be reason enough to go check it out. We stumbled upon this place after checking out the Sacre Coeur. As we were eating they have tons of artists with their artwork on sale and on display just across the street. They also have an outside and inside seating. They have traditional french food with a few extra bonus items. We ordered the combination deal for 27 Euro you get an appetizer and a main course. Or you can choose a dessert instead of the appetizer. If you want all three you can pay 36 Euro. I ordered the Salad with Goat cheese and my husband ordered the french onion soup for our appetizers. The Salad was fabulous. My husband is a french onion soup snob and loved it. For our main course I ordered the pasta and my husband had the Salmon. The Salmon was cooked fine and was pretty good. The pasta they called a risotto but it looked and tasted more like cous cous. Maybe they call it something different in France? They just kept bring bread out I am pretty sure we ate two baskets full. The bread in France is so good! Overall, I would check this place out!

We planned a day walk to Monmartre, and decided to stop here for a quick bite. The wine was good, as was the escargot! Good spot for people watching and artist at work if seated outside.

La Mere Catherine . Excellent food ! I had a salmon and mashed potato and escargot ! Thanks sis Andrea for the recommendation !

It was highly recommended so we went . Bonus ... it's near Sacre Couer Cathedral . We took the Uber there . We didn't have to walk the stairs . Food was great ! Highly recommended ! Shopping for trinkets was fun near the restaurant ! It will not break your budget . Then head on to Sacre Couer . Afterwards , use the monorail going down . The food pictures are just my meal . Everyone else had other stuff but they really liked them as well .

These smaller bistro type eateries are the lifeblood of the local cuisine. They consistently offer reasonably priced dishes that are full of flavor and technique. The wine and drink options are well catered to the menu and they provide options for most price points. The service we experienced was exactly what you want... our server had plenty of suggestions based on the offerings of the day. The service was attentive and responsive... not much more than you could ask for. I had the duck breast being offered... it was served alongside crispy potatoes, green beans, and a salad. Adding in the onion soup and a glass of wine... it quickly became a King's dinner at a very reasonable price. I would be more than happy to eat here again and look forward to exploring the rest of the menu offering many local and classic French options.

Like others have said, it's super small inside, so you'll get to know your neighbors really well. But your attention will be more focused on the food they bring out. I had the lamb with thyme sauce and my wife had the confit duck leg. Don't be afraid to pick the sauce of the day over the regular honey sauce. The sauce of the day on the day we went was a blackberry sauce which was crazy good. With a bottle of wine at 24 euros and both entrees under 20 euros, you couldn't really beat a meal of that quality in many places around Paris for that price. It was only after I ate at Le Potager did I see it had a bunch of great reviews on Yelp. It's definitely earned all those stars.

Making a reservation isn't hard but you do need to email them and there's no online booking system. You also have to confirm again 1-2 days before. I understand they are small with a limited number of tables so that's fair and it seemed like everyone showed up even though they don't require a deposit. On a Friday night, it didn't appear there was much chance or walking in although there were like 2 open seats at what would have been a shared table. The menu is small and includes some typical French starters, steaks, 3 non steak entrees, cheeses, and dessert. All steaks come with potatoes, 3 sauces, salad. Service was a highlight. The waiter was personable and funny, had solid recommendations, and made sure leftovers were taken home. Also had a solid wine recommendation after asking some questions. They probably get a lot of people who don't speak French and they had no problem speaking English. The food- ordered a ribeye medium rare. The steak was so so charred on the outside and it almost ruined the whole thing. I really wish they would have charred it way less especially when it was ordered medium rare. There is seared and then there is burnt; this was sadly the latter. The steak itself was fine, honestly nowhere near the best meat I have had but the price is quite reasonable for how much you get. I would say the steak was maybe 6/10 for me, largely due to the cooking. The fries were phenomenal. Definitely a highlight and really tasty and with a great texture. Salad was good, pretty typical. I wanted to like the sauces more but found them just okay. The best by far for me was the blue cheese sauce but even this one I thought the flavors could have popped a little more. Atmosphere was fun, there were a few bigger groups (6-8 which is the biggest they accommodate) but it never got unreasonably loud. Overall I wanted to love it but was a bit disappointed even though the service and fries were both great.

It's a tiny restaurant, so if you're a party of two, you might share a table with others, but they have spacers so you don't feel like you're eating together. Reservations were easy to make. You email in your requested sitting and someone will get back to you shortly. We were able to get in a little ahead of schedule and start the adventure. Wines were reasonably priced and they had a good variety of cocktails. We hadn't had French onion soup on our trip, so we ordered it as an appetizer. Sometimes it can get a little salty, but these were very well blended. Sacree Fleur seems to be known for their steak and frites, so we ordered the steak for two. Steak comes out on a sizzling platter. You can turn the pieces over to keep cooking until your preferred temperature. It was quite succulent and the fries were well prepared. There are two dipping sauces and some salt to season your meal. We hadn't a great time and way too much food :)

We were so looking forward to the frog legs, onion soup and other delicacies pictured. We got there and the sign was just as it was with the same name -- Au Pied du Sacre Coeur. We should've noticed something was wrong when no one was inside. When the waiter (lone person working along with cook) gave us the menu, my wife and I stared at each other completely confused. The menu looked nothing like the ones on this website and featured Italian food items, like spaghetti, arroz con pollo or mozarella. I asked him about frog legs or the onion soup. He looked confused and just said no. Out of respect for him, we just ordered the charcuterie, which featured stale bread and a few slices of meat taken from my local grocery store in the U.S. Also -- they claimed to not accept any international credit cards.
