Chicken Shawarma on rice. Salad, toorshi (pickles & pickled turnip). Super fresh & delicious!
Laleh H.

I'm really surprised by the low reviews on here. My hubby works in the area and picks up lunch from La-Mill at least 2-3 times a month (for the love of shawarma!). He raved about the food, the cleanliness of the restaurant and the service, i was curious to try it. Plus i love mediterranean and middle eastern food, so it wasn't a hard sell! The opportunity to try their food came last month when hubby was finishing early for the day and offered to pick up lunch. Yes, we live in Markham, so waiting 40-45 minutes for shawarma - i was a bit skeptical as to how the food would taste. The food was packaged so well, it wasn't cold - that was a plus for me. I really really liked the flavour of the chicken shawarma, seasoning was great! Rice was fresh, salad was fresh. Tabbouleh was amazing! Garlic sauce was good, only the tahini was a bit bland for me. After that lunch, he brought it home again this month for us. Consistently good. Price is good too $13.99 for Chicken Shawarma (rice, chicken, salad, toorshi/pickles & pickled turnips), with generous portions and freshly baked pita (OMG sooo good!). Beef shawarma sandwich, has the most tender meat i have ever had in a shawarma and the seasoning is amazing! Huge sandwich wrapped in lavash style bread which does not fall apart! You can also have your dinner with half beef & half chicken (see photos).

Mixed Grill Platter

I would rate this place around 4 stars. The doorway/entrance is a bit hidden, I would recommend them trying to make it easier for people to find it rather than making it seem like it looks closed. Other than that, there food is really good. As a middle eastern, it's hard for me to find mediterranean food that actually tastes genuine. They have an option like, "Labneh" and I was surprised. It's a common food in middle east yet, you wouldn't find at your local mediterranean restaurants so, I was surprised, but happy to hear, that they served that. There dessert wasn't bad, I probably wouldn't order it again. The waffle I ordered was very thick. Their cheesecake didn't really hit the spot for me as well. I don't mean to sound rude, but it tastes like it was out in the fridge for a long time. It was probably just a hit or miss for that day. Overall, I would definitely come again.

I adore this restaurant! Soooooo much better than the competition all around Mississauga. The only place that does proper authentic Saj! You can get a shawarma on saj and it tastes amazing, so my mom says! And she is super picky! Not all dark meat! And the falafels are hands down my favourite in Mississauga! Everything here is so tasty including the tabouli which has pomegranate sauce in it, which isn't totally traditional but a tasty twist! I highly recommend to give this place a shot!

Great place to hangout Serves shisha Customer service Food wasn't exceptional but was good. Some of these Mediterranean restaurant really lose. They brought us fries instead of rice and the waiter kept arguing about it. And then goes ahead and says "ok you can take this for FREE I will get you rice" disgusting. Nobody is trying to get "free fries" we were a group of people. I would never go back.

~ A solid 3.5 stars ~ Been here a few times now and service is as expected in a middle eastern restaurant....which is slow but the ambience is good. I have enjoyed their: Mix Grill platter, which comes 2 skewers kafta, shish tawook, tikka with rice and with hummus & garlic sauce Lamb platter, which comes with 2 lamb skewers served with rice and hummus. Chicken and Beef Shawarma platter, which came with chicken & beef pieces, served with Tahini & Garlic Sauceand rice. all these dishes were nice. Meat was marinated, soft, tender and tasty. The price was quite high when compared to other restaurants. These guys also have a shisha lounge on the side with a patio in the summer months. The selection is quite good and they make a very good shisha... Both the restaurant and shisha lounge are separate so families can enjoy the restaurant. Restaurant are is quite nice and clean but make sure you account for a wait as the service is slow. For my Muslims Bro and Sis -they serve halal food!

Worst experience ever! The "manager" rang up our order (one wrap and one mixed plate on the rocks)…read moreand the price for the mixed plate did not match the board. We asked him and he told us that the prices have changed. We asked if he could honor the price on the board as the wrap came up the same but the mixed plate was not even put in as a mixed plate, he had put it in as a chicken plate on the rocks and added the beef, so naturally there was an extra charge. He said that's just the way it is, and it's only a $2 difference. When we asked him for a feedback number, he told us we were being rude for asking about the price difference when it was so minimal and then claimed that there was no beef so we should just take the chicken or leave as he had other customers to attend to and didn't want to serve us anymore. Quite frankly I was scared about what he would do to our food at this point anyways. There were other customers in the line who were wondering what had happened and asked us, he told us not to talk to them. He told us we were free to contact their head office but wouldn't give us his name, or the owner's name or the complaint line. Just said, "you have a phone, go online and figure it out". Then told us that we were free to leave a review online on yelp. Completely unacceptable behaviour to treat customers so poorly and try to flip on us telling us we were the ones being rude for asking him to honour the item and price listed on their board. Will never go there again. Contacted their customer service via online form, no one has reached out and it's been 2 weeks now. Went to Osmosis and got much better treatment and food!

I tried a variety of the meats and they were cooked to perfection--tender, flavorful, and well balanced with just the right spices and sauces. Nothing was dry, which made every bite enjoyable. Even though it was busy, the service was quick and very welcoming. The restaurant itself is spotless and clearly well maintained. They also offer traditional desserts like Om Ali, knefe, and rice pudding. If you want a more relaxed café vibe afterward, there's a café in the same parking lot run by the same owners with very comfortable seating and even a prayer room. Overall, a wonderful experience that definitely did not disappoint. I'll absolutely be back.

I remember looking over and thinking, "What is this place that's so full of life?" It was bustling with people and had such a great energy. I had never tried Egyptian food before, but I was feeling a little adventurous. I'm really glad I did. A few dishes were recommended, but I was told the Koshari is beloved in Egypt, so that's what I ordered. Be prepared for a bit of a carb coma, but it's absolutely worth it. It was delicious. The mix of pasta, rice, lentils, chickpeas, and crispy fried onions worked surprisingly well together, especially with the sauces they give you. I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in Toronto.

I'm visiting Toronto and wasn't sure what I wanted to eat for dinner so I headed to Yelp, read…read morereviews, and chose Palmyra. I'm so glad I did. This is a small, family owned establishment. The family was actually sitting down to dinner at the end of the day when I arrived approximately an hour before close. It was wonderful to see them eating together. I was immediately greeted by one of the employees. He was very friendly and allowed me to take my time. I wanted to try a falafel because I love to try several menu items. He accommodated that and allowed me to order a single falafel patty to try. I was stuck between choosing the Palmyra Platter or the Mixed Shawarma plate because, as I said, I like to try several items. I ended up choosing the mixed shawarma plate and ordered it as is. The falafel was crispy and I could taste the herbs mixed in. The sauce drizzled over the top was the perfect addition. I was so glad I tried it. I was so eager to taste it that I forgot to get a photo. I chose the mixed shawarma plate thinking it would be a more manageable serving for me to finish than the Palmyra platter. I was sorely mistaken. It was easily enough food for at least 2 people. This was well worth the price point. The salad was fresh and crispy with a good variety of vegetables in it. I really enjoyed the vinaigrette they used for it as well; just tangy enough. The chicken and beef were crispy on the outside and tender inside. They had good flavor and were not dry at all. The spicy potatoes were a tad spicy for me but I still ate them. The rice was ok in my opinion. I had enough left over to eat a second time. I will definitely visit here again on a subsequent trip so I can try more of their menu items. Overall this was a good experience for me.

We had come here on a Sunday afternoon at around 12:00 pm. We had settled on the margarita pizza…read more(without spinach), the falafel wrap, and the kabab wrap (without onions). When we had first walked-in, we were surprised to see how small the restaurant was. However, we then noticed that most of the guests were doing take-out as opposed to dine-in. We were able to find a table for four, which was perfect for us. When we walked-up to the front counter to place our order, we were greeted by a kind hostess, whom took our orders without any issue. We then sat down, and watched as our orders were being prepared. We had to wait about fifteen minutes for all of our meals to be ready. We were surprised to see that the margarita pizza had olives on it, despite not seeing it on the menu. However, we just scooped them off since my children didn't want to eat the olives. For the falafel and kabab wraps, we were surprised to see how large they were, and for only $10.00! The kabab wrap (which I had asked for without onions), had two large pieces of kabab, which filled the wrap, along with the sumac and tomatoes. I enjoyed how tasty the wrap tasted, along with how filling it was. My mother also commented on how delicious the falafel tasted. Considering the prices that we had paid, we certainly go our money's worth! The service was also excellent, as we were brought our wraps directly to our table, while the pizza was placed on the table near to our table. Everyone was kind and considerate, making our stay a pleasant one. There were so many menu items to choose from, it was hard to narrow it down. Will definitely be back to try other items the next time around!

I like the 4 in 1 which allows you to sample different toppings at once. It's become my most preferred. The bread is doughy but depending on the option(s) picked, it may fall apart. Service is good. They pump out orders rapidly even when busy. Rarely do they miss ingredients, but rectify those errors. I've dined in more than take out. For a small establishment, it seems to be doing well. Draws in crowds at times. Food is prepped in front of you. Area is clean. Toppings are generous, as are the staff. The washroom is also clean and adjacent to the checkout counter.
