First time at La Michoacana in San Pedro after months of driving by - so glad we finally made it in! It's a chain Mexican ice cream shop with so many menu items to choose from - ice cream in a variety of flavors, paletas, elote, juices, nachos and more! I came to leave a review since I noticed the shop wasn't very full and I'm a bit surprised by the negative reviews. Maybe the owners paid attention and made changes, maybe they have new staff. We had a great experience - we were helped almost immediately (a family before us was being helped when we walked in), the employee was kind. We noticed the shop itself was clean and all the unused tables had been wiped down. The ice cream itself was delicious - I had the Ferraro rocher and strawberry cheesecake. My Fiance had the Dubai chocolate and mango with chamoy. It is a bit pricey (but so are a lot of ice cream shops nowadays) - we paid $20 for two orders of a double scoop. I also noticed the posted sign inspection sign was a B, so maybe room for improvement. But I'm so glad to know another local spot and we'll definitely be back for a treat! read more

I've never been here before, but it's supposedly a chain. HUGE selection of ice cream flavors, and the server was sweet. There's also lots of street food here too that I've seen in Mexico (hot Cheetos elote etc) I ordered the mangonada, and it was made with love. Delish!! read more

I was just here earlier today 6/4, ALL the employees have horrible attitude and smart answers. This is not the first time I deal with this type of service but today was by far the worse customer service. The snack options and ice cream flavors are usually good but after having to argue with someone about what you're paying for, your appetite goes away. The place could've been a little cleaner but I guess over all it was alright. Maybe management should reconsider hiring friendlier people to work there! read more

There are so many flavors , too many to name. I don't know why I'm not giving this a five star because everything I've had has been delicious. The one that will bring me back again and again is the coconut ice cream. Dangerously good. If your looking for a few other goodies they have smoothies, Aguas frescas corn, fruit cups, nachos, prepackaged Mexican candies too. Service was good that's how I sampled so many flavors. This was my first time and probably my last. I ordered the esquites. I opened my order, took a bite, and immediately tasted expired dairy. The smell immediately hit my face. Yummy! I am so happy my home town got a La Michoacana! We went on the weekend which it was really packed since it was about 80 degrees outside. It was kind of a long wait but not really. I just feel really bad for the workers because the line went out the door and they are dealing with Uber Eats order and customers and there was only 2 of them helping orders while the another worker was at the register. Saw what seen like the manager on duty with blonde hair but she wasn't even helping them which made me a bit sad because they were getting slammed and some people do not have patience. I love this place! There are so many great and interesting flavors of ice cream, Paletas as far as the eye can see, delicious flans... just awesome. Today was my third time going there, and I tried the Sandia ice cream. So good. I also tried the pistacios ice cream. Not my favorite. I'll double down on the watermelon flavor next time. So far my favorite paleta flavor is the Jamaica, which makes sense. I love Jamaica tea. Super good. They have half a dozen different flavors of flan, and the regular cheese flan is really good, but I've also tried the rompope flan, which is great too with a eggnog flavor. They also have a number of interesting savory snacks like tostadas, hot cheeto esquite, tositi esquite, diabolitos, elote, and the list continues. If you can't find the raspado man in ur area then you should just head on over there. I should warn you every time I go there it's always bumping full of people so try to pick up or delivery. They are sweet without being overly done, still nice and refreshing. The desserty (milk based) Paletas are just as good. The texture is perfect and the flavors are on point, definitely sweeter, but nothing artificial tasting. Young 4-5 year olds jumping up & down off of the bench seats, then running through the place, bumping into customers and each other, screaming & yelling at the parents, how they want ice cream ! By the way, we always spend a minimum of 60-75 dollars because we get a lot to go home with us. To the Owner of this establishment: Please do better training and have a responsible Manager on duty at all times.
