If you can get past that, you will enjoy the excellent ice cream and family-friendly facility. A lot of the gift store items are potty humor related but if you have the slightest sense of humor you'll be able to enjoy yourself. There are lots of fun attractions like putting your hand in the aliens mouth, Putt-Putt golf, and other fun stuff. They have a newsletter and many different types of fudge. The potty humor for the fudge amps up to 5th or 6th grade humor. If you survived Elementary School, you should be able to handle this. Visit their website to see the level of humor expected. Again, the ice cream was excellent and served by a staff of teens. The facility was clean and I like the use of graffitied vintage chairs and furniture in the ice cream eatery. Keep an open mind when you visit and remember that off color jokes don't injure or change the taste of really good ice cream!

He was right, I got trapped and I had fun. All kinds of goofy stuff from t-shirts to preserves, chocolates, spices, jigsaw puzzles, plaques and oddities gave me smiles. Retro candy caught my eye and I picked up little to educate my adult sons. For comparison to Mackinac fudge, I bought some here. There is one place in Murfreesboro to get Mackinac fudge and I just might have a tasting at home. All of the artwork here and at the neighboring ice cream shop was fun to see and photograph. Staff is very friendly and greets you with a welcome based on their well known puns. About once I year I am here from TN, and I may stop again. If not, they do have a website of fun stuff to order.

I had a bit…read moreof a hard time finding the shop because they face onto a little park overlooking a stage. The shop is cute, all pink with ice cream themed decor. Two clerks were making cones and working when we entered. I chose an Expresso Brownie Swirl ice cream on a cone from a selection of 20 or so flavors. A "single" scoop was huge, but I was able to finish it. And it was delicious. My husband had a Black Cherry with chocolate chips, which he devoured. Neither one of us shared, each ate in our own little ice cream comas. There is a bit of seating inside or outside, in the park, there is more seating. The staff were friendly and you could tell they liked their jobs. Prices were reasonable. There is dedicated parking behind the building. I'll make Libby's a regular stop on my visits to Greenfield.

I had a coconut cream shake that was delightful. It actually seemed to have an actual piece of pie blended into it. I could tell the ice cream itself was good quality. My wife had a dulce de leche shake that was equally as good. We haven't had ice cream from Libbys in several years. It was even better than I remembered. As great as the ice cream was, the two young women working today were equally great. Libby, if you read this, let them know we appreciated the great service and their sunny personalities.

The orange booths inside reminded me of the 1970s, but seemed newer. The walls are decorated with kitschy country decor. The sign outside claimed the best Bar-B-Q in Indiana, so I decided to give their BBQ sandwich a try with fries and coleslaw. The sandwich was large with lots of saucy sweet pork. The was a slight tang to the sauce, which was good. The fries were crispy and hot. The side of coleslaw was small but creamy and tasty. In response to peer pressure and my lack of self control, I finished my meal off with a tangerine soft serve cone. A small cone was $4. The ice cream was perfectly refreshing and delicious (and the best part of the stop). The staff seemed tired and frustrated, and didn't waste time with pleasantries. Maybe they were understaffed as they worked both a walk up window and inside patrons. Tables needed to be wiped clean, but cleaning didn't happen during our visit. Despite the service, the place had great small town, local charm. I'd return to try the Coney Dog, which looked good. There's plenty of parking in their private lot.

When we arrived, we were greeted with a helpful and friendly vibe from the staff members behind the counter...along with the traditional ice cream shop aroma. As you look around...you'll begin to notice area nostalgic antiquities. This added a next level engagement, as we enjoyed our food and ice cream. Food-wise...we split the loaded nachos. Yummy!!!! I will say personally, I could have used a dab more of the pork...but, it was still tasty...as they were spot on with the amount if the other toppings. After that...we each got our own life cream and buy was it delicious! Definitely recommend and will return!!
