Way way way overpriced! Was shocked how much the palette's were . Totally not worth it.

Was excited to get some esquites from here, figured they were going to be food bases on the price $19 for TWO. They were in fact not good at all. Too dry, little to no mayo. And cold? Yikes. One star for effort to set a place like this at a mall. Service was ok, nothing special. read more

Terrible experience, ordered a simple esquete and it was so watery and the corn was old, i'm never one to ask for refunds but it was disgusting, along with the service when asked, a woman stuck her hand in my face, took other orders and then explained that she didn't speak english. when a english speaking woman came to help she said she had to ask to see if i could get a refund, rolled her eyes and then went to speak with THE SAME woman that didn't speak english in the back and said they can't do nothing besides giving me something else. So disappointing and overall bad vibes in that store you can clearly tell their employees are miserable and don't care about the customers. Located on the first floor of the mall, near the family restrooms and kids play area, this is a modern American style version of some Mexican treats. Lots of hand crafted ice cream bar options, corn snacks-esquite, duritos, Agua fresca drinks, and other snacks. A few things of note. If you don't speak any Spanish, you may have a hard time ordering. The one lady working that day, wasn't speaking any English, only Spanish. That's expected I suppose ordering snacks focused on Mexican treats, but definitely speak Spanish or bring a friend that can if you visit here. Cost. Because it's located in the mall, expect triple the cost if you got it outside the mall. Esquite was $9+. We spent about $65 on 6 different snacks. Decor is bright and entertaining. Kids would love to see the colorful artwork on the walls, and brightly lit. Tables were covered with churro sugar and ice cream drips, so I wish it was a little bit cleaner. Guess it is hard since there's no trash can inside the place. You eat the snack and take it outside to throw anything away. Lastly, there was an added "service" charge. It was an additional $2+ randomly on the receipt. I tried asking what the fee was about... was that a credit card fee or what? The lady didn't explain it to us, so we just let it go. Careful with additional random fees using a card. The Star drops were for the cleanliness and the extra random fee. I "may" come back if I absolutely crave the treats, but the fees and cost of going here is going to hold some people back no matter how tasty the treats were. read more

My kids were playing at the indoor play area next to Macy's while my wife shopped. I lucked out and got a good seat next to a small table and propped up my phone, put on my ear buds and watched videos while the boys got their energy out. After playing, my youngest, who's 4, said he wanted ice cream. My 9 year old said that Rocky Mountain Chocolate Company had ice cream so we went to look. They had vanilla ice cream pops they dipped in chocolate and then nuts or sprinkles and frozen bananas that they did the same to. But my 4 year old insisted that the "butterflies" had ice cream. How observant! We went to La Michoacan and they had ice cream, frozen juice pops, chips, flaming hot Cheetos, and drinks all with a cool Mexican vibe. I must admit, being married to a Mexican woman for over 13 years and having kids who grew up going to Mexican markets and spending summers in Ensenada made coming here a familiar experience even if it was our first time. The ice creams, if not made here, are still fresh and delicious with an obvious Mexican spin. I love chocolate and they have 3 flavors that are really good. Obviously, regular chocolate that was rich and creamy; Ferrero Rocher flavored or inspired chocolate, that was amazingly delicious; and abuelitas chocolate that was mixed with cinnamon (canela) and tasted like frozen champurrado. The chocolates were so amazing I didn't know which to order, so the lady at the counter divided my scoop into three flavors! You've got to be kidding me, right?! Omg, thank you, it was sooooo good. My 4 year old had chicle (bubble gum flavored) ice cream and my 9 year old Oreo cookies and cream. The price per scoop, about $5.75, is comparable to Baskin Robbins, but tastes so much better! Honestly, outside of Ensenada, this is my new favorite ice cream place. Having it next to the play area where my kids can get tired and I can enjoy a sweet treat at the same time makes it even better. And the fact my 4 year old, who can't read yet, found this place, makes it even more memorable. read more

Service was horrible, they were rude and took 15 mins to make a banana split. When the girl handed me the banana split it fell out of her hand and she didn't offer to make a new one she just laughed about it! Would never come back to this location ever! read more

Absolutely love this place. They have a great assortment of ice cream that is water based and also milk based. Definitely love their water based piña con chamoy (Pineapple w/Chili -not spicy but with a little hit). The esquite (corn in a cup) has mayo, cheese and chili.. all upon request. Definitely a must try while you're shopping at the mall and need a little something to keep going. read more

Horrible service, Employee lady 2 days ago was very rude, She was getting mad my daughter wanted to try 4 different samples of ice cream, She noticed my daughter had a medical bracelet and asked me why she was wearing it so I explained she has type 1. She said well maybe you shouldn't be feeding her sugar.. That was so uncalled for but I still explained that's her condition isn't like type 2.. She signed the signature after paying because she was impatient for the person who was about sign which she shouldn't had done that. I'm not typically up for icecream but my wife is prego and her cravings were going on. As soon as I walked in the vibe was placid with good music. The amount of ice cream to choose from is Amazing. They have other locations and I believe their store in the Brea mall is still relatively new, but they remain consistent. They always have a large selection of flavors to choose from. I particularly enjoy their paletas with their gumny bear lemonade one and their ferrero rocher paleta being my favorite. Something to note would be that they definitely did a good job at hiring staff. The lady that was working that day was really kind and explained the flavors that weren't in English well. I think nowadays, there are less reltail/food workers that are polite in general. So when someone is polite, it's much appreciated. read more

Love, love, love this place and so happy to see it open at the Brea Mall. They are located next to the play area which is great for parents and kids. The ice cream is so good! It's a must try while you're here. They also serve fresh fruit made to order however you like and esquite (Mexican style corn) in a cup - delicious! The butterfly themed decor is super cute.
