Absolutely DELICIOUS. If you are visiting Notting Hill around lunch or dinner time, you must stop for a bite. Right around the corner from the Notting Hill Book Shop. The pizza with the truffles was devine as well as the pasta with pistachio.

La Mia Momma on Hollywood Road was visited by Stanley Tucci as part of his show on Italian cooking. This episode focused on Italian food in London. This restaurant is in the Earl's Court area or the West Brompton area of London and is in a great residential area with a number of other restaurants. The food here is great. And the ambiance is lively for a relatively small restaurant. But go for the food - it's delicious! We had excellent pasta with great sauces. Very good delicious Italian food.

The desert plate. Back to front the coffee mousse, flan with strawberry, chocolate and almond cake, and chocolate cake with cream.

The website says they don't take reservations for parties under four but pretty much everyone that can in had them. We were the first customers for the dinner service and we're glad we got there when we did. It took awhile to actually get seated, which was odd as we were the only customers. We did a dinner special of a glass of Prosecco, a share appetizer as individual mains at 45£ per person. We had an issue with the appetizer and the staff took care of it. The shared desert was four different treats and the coffee mousse was incredible. Hands down the best on the plate of great treats. It's a bit of a hike from the nearest underground station (South Kensington) but the food was good and plentiful.

We went to this spot based on the Stanley Tucci series, and were happy to snag reservations. We were seated downstairs in a cozy basement, which has a great vibe. Our servers were amazing, one person with 1 assistant handled 30 plus guests. We never waited for anything, we asked and it was delivered. We got the fixed menu, and started with our glass of Prosecco, followed but our drinks of choice and our anti-pasta.The drinks were great, the anti-pasta,was only ok. It was an odd mix of things with no bread to dip into the liquids or anything like that. As a matter of fact every other table got Bruschetta but we didn't. We probably would have liked that more. On to our dinner, I had the cacio e pepe, which was very good but almost to cheesy compared to that I've had in Italy many times. My partner had the Carbonara, he didn't care for it. The pasta was too Al dente for him (I know, I know) and it was pretty dry especially compared to mine. The deserts were tasty, as was the espresso and the Limoncello was excellent ! All in all we were glad we went, but probably wouldn't go back. Oh and btw, the Mama who was working in the front window was an absolute doll !

This place was a great experience. I made the reservations before I realized that Stanley Tucci recommended the place, and was excited about dining there. Cute and cozy, on Kings Road in Chelsea, this place did not disappoint. So the concept is that they bring in "mammas" from different regions in Italy to cook their favorite dishes. We went with the Aperol spritz, antipasti to share and pasta combo. The spritz was delicious, but the antipasti was the only disappointment of the night. It seemed as if it was a bunch of cold "left overs" and we barely made a dent in it. Unappetizing, so minus one star. But boy, was the pasta delicious! I had the Bigoli Caceo e Pepe and is was scrumptious! My husband had the Ziti all Genovese and loved it. We finished with a shot of Lemoncello, which was perfect. Next time we won't get the antipasti platter.

We had one of the best meals while in London! Gianpier Lanzilotti was fabulous, the Mama's were incredible and the food was outstanding!!! Thanks to the Stanley Tucci's show we found this gem. The wait staff went above and beyond, made great suggestions and helped us share the wine we ordered. We even sent wine over to the Mama's while they were cooking in the front window. If in London, this a must go to restaurant.

We saw it on Stanley Tucci's program and had to visit. There are currently three in Lonon. Each one specializes in a different region of Italy. The Chelsea location was preparing dishes found in Lazio. We asked the waiter to arrange our courses and wine as a surprise and he did a great job. The antipasti, pasta and meat courses were all flavorful and very generous. Give yourself an evening to enjoy the full menu. The dessert was also wonderful. The entire experience was so rewarding, that we visited the Notting Hill location before leaving London.

What a charming place! We heard of this place from Stanley Tucci and boy, did this place NOT disappoint. We had no reservations but they gave us choice to wait or sit at the bar. We ordered two pastas, one with meatballs and the other with broccoli and sausage. The pasta comes in little steel pans and they plop it straight in front of you. The wine and pistachio tiramisu were outstanding and the entertainment amazing!!!

We loved this restaurant! So quaint and the down home cooking was incredible! Servers were all very friendly and attentive. Everything was super authentic and lots of Italian was spoken! Would definitely recommend and go back if I lived locally.

Mama greeted us on arrival and made us feel like we were dining in her home. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We decided to share the price fix menu that included aperol splits, a large appetizer of a pasta, main course, coffee & desert. Needles to say we didn't leave hungry. Mama was in the kitchen preparing fresh making fresh pasta slices for her chef. This dining experience made us feel like we were in Italy instead of London.

Panna cotta, cannoli, Spanish bread with cream, pastry with strawberry jam, and "mamma" cake.

This was AWESOME. The service was excellent. We ordered the set menu, and we tried so many new things. The whole family was over the moon at this experience. The region this visit was Lazio - Roman pastas that featured guanciale. We loved them all. I can't recommend this enough! I saw some reviews that said the pasta was "undercooked." It's house-made pasta cooked al dente. It was perfect. What a special night!

However, I need to warn my fellow Yelpers to stay away from Oliveto if you value Good Pizza! I mean, how hard is it to have good pizza!?! It is a simple staple which I have enjoyed in the US, in China and yes even in Italy. At it's most basic, it should be dough, sauce (doesn't have to be tomato necessarily), mozzarella and maybe some toppings, right? Here is where Oliveto went wrong for my mother and me: 1) they use cheap cheddar cheese - not mozzarella! 2) not a lot of sauce, maybe just enough to color it 3) the dough was soggy and didn't rise (I actually like thin crust, but this was inferior doug and 4) topping that were not as advertised, i.e. prosciutto should not look like and taste like store-bought sliced ham! Service was okay - the men like to talk about customers in their native tongue, thinking that patrons don't know what they are saying about them. We were so glad that we split a pie - most tables got a pie per person. Neither of us could finish this "pizza" honestly. Perhaps the only redeeming thing are the prices - this might be the cheapest choice in an otherwise expensive neighborhood.

It's a quaint little Italian spot in the heart of London and it's a wonderful place to spend, especially at night. We ordered the Spaghetti alla Carbonara, the Strozzapreti Boscaiola, and a Bellini and Mimosa to go with our dinner. The food took just a little while to get here but I was sure that it was because they were taking their care with every dish the chefs made. I was right. The pasta was fresh, the sauce and the ingredients tasted very simple and hearty. It all tasted like my hypothetical imaginary nonna made it. The drinks were very good too and complimented the food nicely. Our waiter was absolutely the nicest guy ever. He was very attentive and made sure that we were happy with everything. In my head, I was going to tip him well, and then when we got the check, there was no option to tip. God save the UK. America could learn a thing or two about what it means to not make life all about work. That's beside the point. If you're in London, visit Bon Gusto. I can't wait to come again and happily hand them my money with the biggest smile on my face.
