Had lunch as well there and food was really good. There were 4 of us buying wine both reds and whites. Somehow our order got a bit mixed up and we accidentally got a case of red in place of white wine. I called office today and they went above and beyond to get that case of wine delivered to our home asap. Cannot beat that for service anywhere. Highly recommend making a trip for anyone who hasn't been there before. Beautiful grounds and wine tasting room. We're now big fans!

Good wine, gorgeous views, and chill relaxed inviting vibes. First of all, Helwig is in the town of Plymouth which is about 25 miles from Folsom. It was my first visit here. Who knew that this wine country is so close to Sacramento?! Well now you do. The winery is perched on top of an elevated land that provides a spectacular view s of the Shenandoah Valley. Movie picture perfect views. My friends and I sat on the deck and soaked in all the gorgeousness. We also bought lunch from the Kitchen which is a walk up counter service and a bottle of wine from the tasting room. From the Kitchen, I ordered the southwest salad and added grilled chicken for an extra $5. The salad was uneventful. The chicken was a measly portion that was served in a small container that is the same size container that the salad dressing was served in. Where's the chicken?! The chicken also had no flavor. Bummer. But the Dave burger and side of Caesar salad looked so darn delicious. Folks in my group that ordered that, devoured theirs. Big, fat juicy burger. The onion rings was a hit for me, crisp golden fried beer batter sweet onion rings. Delicious. The audible crunch just made it more satisfying. The housemade kettle chips were thick, toothsome, and salty. Very flavorful. My glass of wine was so darn delicious. Light, crisp and smooth. Darn... I forgot the name of the wine. There is also a wine cave, folks can make reservations for tastings in the cave. The cave is below the amphitheater. The small amphitheater is aesthetically eye catching. Sloped manicured green lawns bordered by thoughtfully designed concrete landscaping. Concert info and reservations for the cave is on their website.

I had to show them the email confirmation. It was fine and we were still able to sit down right away. The inside wine tasting room is kind of small but the outdoor patio and area makes up for it. It is quite big and open. I think someone can host an outdoor concert or a wedding. We got to taste about five type of wines (Sauvignon Blanc and few blended red wine). They were all good. I particularly like the 2020 Interlude and purchased a bottle for my sister. We also got to sample from their gallery collection library club that's like 20+ years old ( I forgot the exact year) and that was special. They also have dumplings and spring rolls for purchase. I skip that because I wasn't sure if that would go with the wine. We bought some cheese with us and we had that with our wine. Of course, we asked for permission before bringing in our own cheese and crackers. The gentleman that served us was really nice and friendly. We didn't feel rushed and wine was poured at a good pace. I do want to mention that most winery at Amador will comp at least one tasting with purchase, but not at Di Arie. If you're not a member, be prepared to pay the full wine tasting fee per person.

It's a Terri blend of Cab Sauvignon, Cab Franc, Syrah and Primitivo! The host and hostess were all very friendly and knowledgeable! And of course to meet and chat with the wine maker himself, Chaim, was a wonderful treat! The grounds were small, but very cute and relaxing. It made for a warm, friendly ambiance! He presented us with a Halloween candy and wine pairing menu. What fun and the combinations really complimented each other well. It also gave us a broad taste of the winery's offerings. The tasting room is very spacious with a large central bar and a couple of sofa seating areas. But the patio is where it's at. In the afternoon there is plenty of shade and all day a fabulous view of the rolling hills of grape vines. Plenty of easy parking right out front. Next year we come earlier in the day.

I thinks it's truly annoying they have to refund the entire wine pick up and recharge you again. It's not a friendly user experience and should be reviewed. Credit the two bottles and recharge the 2 bottles. I think it would be a simple process for the customer and the winery, and still have good accounting practices. I asked if we could have the complementary breadsticks everyone else was eating them and the girl behind the counter said we are all out. OKAY! I really love the Chardonnay it's my favorite. Rombauer makes some great wines. Bottles can be costly, but once you open the bottle and you have your first - three sips, you know why you're in the wine club. As a member your tastings are complementary which is a nice benefit. I'm happy that they hold our wine club bottles until we come to pick them up usually twice a year. It would be nice if they did complementary shipping for a penny all the time.
