Before I began wedding planning, I knew that I wanted a magical outdoor venue with string lights. But I never imagined a place like The Gardens actually existed until we toured it and saw how phenomenal it is in person! It truly is an upscale, ethereal garden and it brought my Sailor Moon-inspired dreams to life. It was so breathtaking that it was the only venue we bothered touring - we booked as quickly as we could! We only questioned that decision once, which was when we read the contract. It was a little bit surprising for the uninitiated, since we never knew a few things like how we need to add vendor counts to our catering totals or that music had to be off by 9:00 PM. But I want to reassure anyone else made nervous by these things that all of that was totally not a big deal, and actually a blessing in disguise on all counts! I also really enjoyed having Lynn being present on the grounds and a part of our wedding. She is so sweet and I heard from several guests how much they loved her and what a treasure she is. Previously, my then-fiancé and I had been to a wedding somewhere else where the staff were rude to us and other guests. We never told the couple about it because we didn't want to put a cloud over their day, but the result was that we became very nervous about our own guests potentially experiencing something like that. It was such a relief to hear how much our guests loved Lynn! She also helped me with a timing issue I had starting the ceremony, so that was a big help and support that I don't think we would have gotten anywhere else. Having our wedding at The Gardens was a dream come true and we know we made the best possible decision. I'm sure others have already gushed about having the ceremony/cocktail hour/reception at one location or the incredible bridal salon or the fact that there's so many hotel options within walking distance, so I'll leave it at that and just say that you will really love this venue if you're planning for an outdoor event! read more

It's such a bittersweet moment to have seen everything unfold in one night. I dreamt of this wedding venue for years. I fell in love with this venue the first time, my husband and I did our site visit! Lynn, she is just a wonderful human being who is passionate about this venue. You can tell by the way this venue is well taken care of and every single detail it offers. Aside from the beautiful greenery and lighting, this venue offers the most beautiful ceremony area and a great space for cocktail hour. I got ready in the bridal suite. It was large and very accommodating. It offered a nice size kitchen for us to have some food and drinks. I had a few girls getting ready with me and they all had enough space to do so. It was truly beautiful. The venue has a great aisle to walk up and down to the ceremony area and the cocktail area. It allowed us to give our guest the experience of a dreamy wedding. Heading down to reception is a breathtaking moment. It is so beautiful. We saw our venue in September of 2021. We booked it and set our date for May 13,2023. If we had any questions, we would reach out to Lynn where she was always very responsive and attentive. Even on our rehearsal day! I am so sad that it's allllll over now, but I am forever grateful that we had the opportunity to have our dream wedding here. We recently visited The Hanford Garden and wow--pictures seriously don't do it justice. The space is so beautiful, and you can already see how much love and intention is being poured into it. Sabrina and the new team have been amazing--so helpful, kind, and detail-oriented. You can tell they really care about making every corner perfect and creating an incredible experience for their couples. The communication alone has been impressive. Beautiful hidden wedding venue in Sutter Creek. The venue is easy to miss but once found you'll walk into a mesmerizing garden perfect for an outdoor wedding. Parking is a tight and make sure to wear wedges as the receptionist and ceremony area is all lawn. A bit of a small hike to get to the ceremony area and cocktails area. Lynn at the Gardens at Sutter Creek gave us the wedding we didn't even dream of. With costs, planning, etc. we were set to wed at a resort in South Lake Tahoe. It would've been lovely, but very corporate/restricted. With the pandemic, we were given the opportunity to cancel without penalty. By that point, we came across The Gardens. We were blown away that this gorgeous venue could be OURS for less than we were paying for a small ceremony area and ballroom elsewhere. Lynn was so nice and professional from the very first email, our multiple visits, and throughout the entire day of. The venue was the perfect size, location, and had everything we needed. I had a wedding there and it was absolutely amazing! Truly felt like we were in an eternal garden! So picturesque and charming! We got so many compliments from our guests. I cannot say enough about this dreamy venue and it's gracious owner. Lynn has done an amazing job with this place! We first toured it in 2019 while planning our 2021 wedding. Between then and our actual day, she made so many upgrades and the site is absolutely gorgeous. You walk through the gates and almost feel like you're in a different world. All of the changes she's made, big and small, have added so much beauty and character to the location. The ceremony site it astounding. It's nestled at the back of the venue up the hill and enclosed by greenery and bushes. There's a beautiful waterfall at the center of it where the bride and groom recite vows. It's also really shaded for most of the day! We had 90-something people and they all fit nicely. It was very cozy. We had "happy hour" under the large arbor and set up our table assignments and gifts/cards/guest book table there. We were off taking pictures but peeked in and saw everyone having a fantastic time. Our reception was dreamy and that's the only way I can describe it. The dance floor was amazing (and sturdy). Our grand entrances under the twinkle-light tunnel were awesome, and the setup of the bar/buffet was perfect. The mood that this place sets (especially once the sun goes down) is fantastic. Throughout our planning process Lynn was wonderful. She was extremely accommodating and clear in her communication and process to reserve and book the site. She honestly felt like a pillar of support we didn't realize we were going to have! The venue rental came with table and chair setup for the reception and ceremony site and with breakdown, and that was super helpful. Once we get pictures we'll definitely update this review, thank you so much to Lynn for contributing so much to our day. read more

Not only is this venue beautiful but Lynn the owner is so accommodating and on top of things that what could be a stressful event ends up being nothing but enjoyable! The grounds and buildings with amenities are wonderfully maintained. Having 3 levels available (ceremony, cocktail, reception) makes the whole event that much more special. Wow, where to start with this amazing venue and owner. First of all, Lynn is one of the best humans we've worked with and we're so lucky that she took over this venue. She was flexible and accommodated our many date changes from 2020 to 2022 due to the pandemic. Her work to update and remodel the venue has made it into one of the best venues our guests and we had seen. The greenery made the venue stay cool, the fairy lights made it feel magical at night, and the grand entrance has a beautiful rustic wood garden feel which makes the best background for photos. The venue has multiple levels and it makes the transition from the ceremony, to cocktail hour, and then to dinner seamless. The changing room/bride and groom room gave us a nice private area where we can stay cool, hydrated, and prepare for any transition throughout the day. Lynn was there the day-of and supplemented the day of coordination we had with our wedding coordinator. The Gardens are beautiful! We had selected this venue our daughter's wedding. The wedding garden is intimate, charming, and beautiful. The reception garden is well-shaded with a stage and bar (gotta have the bar!), with lights and multiple areas for eating and dancing. The bride's room is a private and pretty place to get ready and has great lighting for photos. This is a gem and worth the drive from Sacramento. read more
