Sutter Creek's newest winery and tasting room. RR just opened January of 2023. It is a fabulous find. A gorgeous craftsman house perfectly decorated is the tasting room. Creating several unique tasting areas for couples and groups. Even a small front patio area for tasting. Shane, the owner, was our host for our tasting. He made the tasting so much fun. His enthusiasm about his wines was infectious. He explained the winery's concept for wanting to create different experience with unique grapes, various winemaking styles, exclusive blends and what we discovered was a higher level of interaction with their customers. Shane and the wine maker are seeking out small lots of interesting grapes from local vineyards. Currently the tasting will be young, but over upcoming years I expect some fabulous bottles. Our tasting included- 2022 Harmony, a Grenache Blanc and a hint of Muscat. 2022 Gamay Noir, a claret style of 100% Gamay 2022 Grenache Noir, a single high elevation vineyard that created a very interesting flavor. 2022 Temprano, a blend that used whole cluster fermentation of Tinta Amarela and other Iberian varietals. Mmm delicious. 2022 Cabernet Franc, 100%, rich now, but holding for a few years will make it a fabulous wine. 2022 The Beast, a fun story wine (you must ask). Petite Sirah, Syrah, and a slash of Zin, will have you humming like Doris Day. Que Sera, Sera. The club memberships are equally unique and fun. Who doesn't want to be a conspirator? I joined immediately. I highly recommend a visit. Allow more than an hour to cover all the intricate details of the winery and truly enjoy the unique essences of RR's wines.

Wow wow wow! We are regular wine goers that visit Sutter Creek often and I noticed this new spot a few months old. I made a reservation and we were greeted by Aaron who happened to be the wine maker.....SCORE! GREAT PRESENTATION, of course since it's his wine and we ended becoming wine club members because every wine we tasted on the menu was excellent! We purchased 5 out of six that we tasted and the only reason why I didn't purchase the Syrah because it was delicious as well, I already have a few bottles at home since it's one of my favs. The place itself is very cool, kick back with that old cigar spot vibe so I'm a club member now...will I be back??? DUH!!!! Check this spot out....you won't be disappointed!

Not bad, not bad at all. Main wine maker was very easy going, good wine. Inside is classic look for the area.

Amazing new tasting room in Sutter Creek! The winemaker was very knowledgeable and passionate about the wines he made. I ended purchasing the Falanghina a white grape varietal; refreshing with a hint of sweetness. Perfect for summer or now lol! Definitely will be back to see what future wines they produce.

Walking into Ravens Reach you are greeted by Shane the owner and heart of this establishment. Take a minute to appreciate the ambiance. They restored an old craftsmen style building and it has a wonderful 1930s vibe and it makes the experience truly memorable. Their wines are all great. We ended up joining their wine club which offers murder mystery parties. We spent a wonderful afternoon here learning about the grape varietals and the unique wine making style of these two gentlemen who moved from silicon valley to pursue their dreams of making great wine for the masses. I wish I could do the same and after coming here you will too.

I can not say enough wonderful things about the owners Shane and Aaron they are so very welcoming and the new look of the tasting room is so cozy. They have complex and appealing wines. Most even have a really cool QR code that will give even more key details about the wine. I can not wait to see what the future will hold for this winery and the amazing wines that are to come

I had the shrimp scampi and my husband had the chicken both dishes were superb!! We started with the shrimp cocktail each and the split pea soup and finished with the Upside down pineapple cake. It was a huge piece. I couldn't eat all of mine. The singer had a beautiful voice, she looked so elegant and it was a tribute to 1957. They gave you a card to answer trivia questions from 1957. Neither of us were born yet so we had to use google. It was a fun thing to do. I'm so glad we took the opportunity to go to the Hotel and afterward we went downstairs to the speakeasy to ring in the New year in Sutter Creek. We live in Sparks, NV so it was nice to get out of town and do something different.

Hotel Sutter Restaurant has been on my list of places to check out in our neck of the woods for a while. We for sure wanted a classy place that served cocktails, and Hotel Sutter fit the bill. Both of us were also craving a good craft burger, and from what I saw in other reviews, the burgers looked delicious. I made a reservation for us on OpenTable just in case, but since it was a weeknight I wasn't too concerned if we had walked in. We were seated nearly immediately, and our server cheerfully asked us what we wanted to drink besides good ole H2O. I was really glad we came to visit around Christmastime, since they were serving holiday cocktails and other beverages. I went with the partridge pear martini, while my husband went with the Santa's spiced cider. My martini was oh so delicious and perfectly strong, and I had a small sip of my husband's cider, which was refreshing with the perfect holiday-esque notes. We read a few mixed reviews on the apps, so went straight to the entrees instead. I chose the bacon jam burger and my husband chose the traveller whiskey burger. Both of us upgraded to the garlic rosemary seasoning. I went with fries and my husband went with tots. Honestly, we were glad that we didn't end up ordering an app, since the burgers themselves were pretty filling! We both asked for medium on the cook temp of our patties, and they delivered. The meat was perfectly juicy with a wonderful charred flavor. The bacon jam was so delicious, and the balsamic arugula paired perfectly with everything. My brioche bun was pillowy and yet did not fall apart with all the juices of the burger. I did not get a chance to try my husband's burger, but he stated that it was also top notch. My fries were piping hot, with a perfect dusting of garlic rosemary flavor and sprinkles of Parmesan cheese. I tried a tot and that was also delightfully crispy and flavorful. We asked for ranch and that went well with both sides. The ketchup was great as well. I loved the ambiance of the restaurant. Old buildings are always up my alley, and the rich history of Hotel Sutter can truly be felt simply by touching its brick walls (that is, if you believe in the spirit realm). I loved that each table had its own light, but the restaurant had the perfect dim setting for a classy date night. Our server was very friendly and attentive, and kept our waters refilled. We had a concern regarding the pricing of the cider on the bill vs on the menu and that was fixed immediately, with the rest of the staff notified for future reference. It was a tiny discrepancy, but one that we caught quickly and simply wanted to bring up. Hotel Sutter Restaurant is definitely on our places to return to in the future, and I'd love to sit on the balcony some other time and enjoy some brunch and mimosas. If you're looking for an excuse for date night or are just feeling fancy, definitely come relax, sip some delicious cocktails, and enjoy the delicious food Hotel Sutter Restaurant has to offer!
