I admit I did have difficulty finding La Maison Bleue.. it's inside the Mistuwa food court, but it's shared with the Good Times Donut stall. I loved the creativity of the drink combinations they have, but the flavors and cream tops do dilute the matcha potency. As such, I did find the matcha flavor to be a little on the weaker side, and the drinks on the pricier end as well. Because they whisk to order, my drink did take longer to be served. Nevertheless, LMB is still a solid option, but not my top pick for DFW matcha. read more

Located inside of Mitsuwa Market, they offer high quality matcha, hojicha, and pastries for your need! At first, I thought they were on pricier side, which they are, but they definitely use high quality matcha and hojicha as well as other ingredients for their customers. They are very transparent as well. I have been going to La Maison for few years whenever I was in the area and consistency is on points whether that's a taste or a service! I happened upon this spot while shopping at Mitsuwa, and on my first visit I was impressed with their matcha latte. It was smooth, creamy, and had just the right touch of sweetness. I enjoyed it so much that I made a special trip to Plano just to get another one. Unfortunately, the second visit was a letdown. This time, my drink was packed with ice. When I asked about it, the barista explained that each drink is measured out according to the recipe. I've heard this same explanation at another coffee shop, and noticed they both use the same style of very dense ice. The problem is that this type of ice makes the cup look full, but it leaves you with far less liquid than expected. At nearly $9 a cup, getting what feels like only 5 ounces of actual drink is disappointing. (See picture below, notice ice on top of cup) The flavors are excellent, but for that price I'd rather go somewhere that doesn't overload their drinks with ice. There are plenty of places nearby that make drinks just as good without skimping on the portion. Sadly, I won't be returning. This place has been on my list to go to for a while now. I originally heard about it on TikTok. The color of their matcha looked amazing in the videos, so I just had to try it out and see if it also tasted good. They are located inside Mitsuwa in the food court. There was no line when I got there, but I could not order drinks because their orders were backed up. One of the staff told me the wait time to order drinks was going to be about 20-40 minutes... I was determined to try their drinks, so I checked out the market while I was waiting. Once I ordered, the staff told me the wait time would be about 10-15 minutes, which was no problem for me. You can see the baristas hand-whisking the matcha, so you know it is guaranteed to be good! We got the matcha and the banana matcha. Both are extremely delicious. Located within the food court of the Mitsuwa Japanese marketplace, this small cafe specializes in matcha and juices, and also serves a variety of mochi donuts. My friend has liked the sakura cream matcha and melon cream soda, so I got the sakura cream matcha ($8) since it's a unique flavor. The sakura was very creamy and sweet while the matcha was a nice contrast of bitter and earthy. It took some effort to mix them, but eventually the flavors blended and tasted great together too. Their fruit juices (butterfly pea/lavender and yuzu pear) also looked tasty and came in cute bottles, so I got the yuzu pear ($7) which was tasted great and had hints of jasmine. read more

I would come here for a couple of things here. The Sakura Matcha is something that I think all people who first come to this café you get. They have instructions for you to sip the sweet floral Sakura cream and then you mix and sip on the mixed drink! Honestly this is the best way to drink it as using a straw doesn't get you the cream you want. The other one I would get is the cream-based Hojicha/Matcha that kind of looks like an einspanner! This time around it was a little chilly with the rain so I finally got to try their matcha and it blew my mind! If you are a fan of Injeolmi (soybean rice cakes) definitely get the kuro mitsu matcha! So goood! They mix the soybean mixture with the cream on top! Grabbed some of the mochi donuts from the vendor inside and those were a hit with our friends, especially their mom's! Finding this place was a bit as we had to go inside a shopping centre but it was still cute. The service was okay and it seemed like the person was new and couldn't really accommodate for changes (such as adding ice). We were really excited to try the drinks from here due to other reviews but our drinks were honestly just not good. It may be since it did seem like the person making it was new but the matcha was extremely grainy and earthy, and the ratios with the two drinks were a bit off, with one being mostly milk and the other being mostly matcha. It was so grainy from the matcha that I couldn't finish my drink because it was alll powder. The Cream latte honestly tasted like water with a drop of coffee. Sharing a stall with the Good Times Donuts in the Mitsuwa food court, I only learned about this new addition of a drink menu passing by their ad for summer drinks. We tried the matcha coco- Fresh coconut water topped with matcha cream and coconut meat. Really incredible. The matcha and coconut paired flawlessly and neither flavor overpowered the other while still being present.
