Our technician took his time to explain everything, measure carefully and then gently pierce my daughter's ears. She was always at ease due to his patient attitude and professional approach. I was very disappointed with this establishments professionalism and customer service skills. These two things are extremely important to me. Over 3 months ago I had my ear pierced hole re-stitched up by a plastic surgeon. The Dr referred me here to have it re pierced after 6 weeks. Trying to make an appt with them was very difficult. I reached their voicemail multiple times on different days and finally received a call back. I told the woman who answered the phone my situation/ who referred me. They said I had to wait 6 months to get it pierced, even though the Dr said 6 weeks. They finally said I could come in and have the specialist look at it to determine whether they could do it now. We set an appt. In the mean time I called the DR to verify the time I could wait to get it re pierced and they once again said 6 weeks or later and that it probably was just the person who answered the phone that personally had a strict 6 months re-pierce policy. I also tried to see if they recommended another place because the back and forth of trying to schedule an appt was frustrating enough. Unfortunately, they only refer patients here, otherwise I would have gone somewhere else at this point. The day of, they called me 2 hours before my 4:30 PM appt and said they had to cancel b/c the specialist had a death in the family and had to go out of town. I am completely understanding when things come up, but they also didn't seem to care that they were cancelling my appt last min, like I said before, their customer service skills are just not there. They rescheduled me for the next week. Same thing, 2 hours before my evening appt they called to tell me that they had to cancel b/c the specialist was still out of town d/t a family emergency. I completely understand emergencies happen however I am sure at this point the specialist or the staff knew he would not be in more than 2 hours before my scheduled Tuesday 4:30pm appt. This person who called was different than the 1st time, however still did not seem to care that this was the 2nd cancellation in a week, and the fact that my appt was in just a few hours. I am sure that they do great piercings and the specialist is very qualified, which is why my surgeon refers his patients there, however the unprofessionalism is enough for me to not want to go there and why I'm giving this review. I am an avid believer is respecting peoples time and having it happen twice is unacceptable since I'm pretty sure the 2nd cancellation could have been earlier than 2 hours in advance. read more

This place was fantastic! My mom and I showed up to get her second holes pierced. We didn't have a reservation and it was about 15 minutes before they were going to close. The ladies were packing up to leave, however agreed to stay a little late in order to pierce my Mom's ears. They were very professional, friendly and accommodating! I took my 12 year old daughter yesterday to get her ears pierced. She was extremely nervous. The young lady who peirced my baby ear was very well. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! Made appointment, they skipped over my baby multiple times saying we were waiting to put my 8 month baby in private room. Then when I said I was about to leave they tried to pierce her out in the open. Never even offered discount. My baby after hours of waited was so irritated and frustrated along with myself as a parent it made the entire piercing process one if the worse experiences. I do not recommend anyone to take their child their unless they are beyond 10 years old! They will not make ur child a priority like I said her appointment was at 135 and they pierced her at 3pm. We had our daughter's ears pierced at one year old . She did fine, she was held by my mother . They aren't the most personable attendants but did what the job needed. I feel their jewelry is over priced but for the area it is expected. read more

My 3 week old had the best experience, she had a lot of patience with her and even aloud for me to feed her in between so she didn't feel any pain at all! My baby is now 3 months and no infection at all just followed the instructions they gave me! I 100% recommended them! read more

I don't understand how a salon owned by a father can put infants through unnecessary pain and trauma. I was sick when I walked into the salon to hear a screaming infant being held down by its parents as a needle was shoved through it's precious little ear, for what?! For the baby to "look pretty" I don't understand how this is allowed. It is barbaric to torture a defenseless child just to make money off of the piercing. Do not go, cross contamination. Young woman did my baby's piercing and put on gloves first, then touched a lot of things including the needle that she completely put through ear lobe, and didn't take off gloves afterwards, she kept touching drawers, antiseptic bottle used for every piercing with "dirty" gloves. Called them and they did not acknowledge that they are putting people at risk with cross contamination, stay away! read more

I did feel light headed when I got them pierced but it was because it was Texas in the summer and the sun reflected against the needle against the mirror into my eyes. Well I haven't been to La Lobe in almost 40 years. I was looking for somewhere to take my 2 year old niece to get hers pierced and my mother told me to take her to La Lobe...the same place she took me when I was 2. I thought they would have been closed since its been such a long time. But they are still around. Im excited to take my niece to get her ears pierced at the same place her auntie and grandmother went to 40 years ago! I have had other a couple more piercings done to my ear and only the La Lobe piercing is still just fine. Im confidant my niece will have the same results and I cant wait to pick out her new earrings. read more

I'm not sure why the reviews on here aren't great. I took my 11 month old and they were absolutely amazing. They were sure to explain everything clearly to my husband and I cleaning wise and what to expect. They played with my daughter and did a great job. Yes needles take longer than the gun but it is more sanitary. My daughter cried for less than 1 minute. I'm so glad I took the drive to Dallas to go here! read more

Took my 9 year old daughter to get her ears pierced. We went during the week and did not have an apt. We had a fabulous experience. Craig and his entire Team made my daughter feel very comfortable and they were very patient while she decided if she would really go through with the piercing and answered all her questions. Many of her friends had gone to Claire's and had the painful "gun" experience so Craig patiently explained to her why the needle method was better and actually less painful and he showed her the awesome numbing spray. We bought our earrings at the shop and I thought the whole thing for about $100 was reasonable for the great experience and comfort knowing the piercing was done by an expert. Craig has done so many piercings he knows what he is doing. The shop has been opened since 1969. It is a Dallas legacy. My daughter said she would definitely recommend the shop and she is really excited she got her ears pierced. She can't wait to say "hi" to Craig at our 4 week check up. read more

AWFUL EXPERIENCE I am 26 years old and had to get one of my ears re-pierced because of an accident I had. I followed all of the instructions that were given to me at La Lobe and kept the studs in for 5 months. I cleaned my ear regularly. After that, my ear became INFECTED and I was unable to wear earrings. When I went back to La Lobe, the woman that works there would not help me. She insisted it was my fault that my ear was infected when I did nothing wrong. She would not see me further without an appointment and she would not re-pierce my ear unless I paid a SECOND time. I got my ear pierced 8 months ago and since then it has been infected and has now CLOSED UP. DO NOT GO HERE! The woman that works there is completely horrific and would not help me fix my ear after she infected it. Please spend your money elsewhere because this place is expensive, they do a bad job, and the SERVICE IS AWFUL. I am very disappointed. read more

HORRIBLE !!! PLEASE BEWARE !!! My doctor recommended this place to me for my newborn. I was already skeptical due to the bad reviews but decided against my better judgement to go. The woman placed her holes to high and too close to her face and argued me down about it !!! Terrible experience. First, the lady told us that they have us down for a different appointment time than they said on the phone after we drove 40 minutes to get there. Then she tells us the numbing cream they are going to use for our daughter will take an hour to work but she has an appointment to get her neck adjusted and then she goes to lunch. The woman who runs this place is extremely rude. I do not know her name but I think she is a new owner as I have not encountered her before on my many trips there. I have been in there twice now and she was rude to me each time. Even my daughter balked at how rude she was. I will not go back. My 6-year old daughter had her ears pierced at La Lobe today, and I cannot say enough about how great they are! I called this morning, thinking they probably wouldn't be able to fit us in on such short notice, but they did. They even warned me that they would be piercing a baby's ears right before her, so I could call and make sure they baby wasn't crying when we arrived, since that might make my daugher nervous. Both of the people who were working when we arrived were very friendly and knowledgable. I appreciate this very much, because I actually worked at Claire's, doing ear piercing, when I was in high school. So I know how little training they get, and how often their piercing guns malfunction. All in all, this was a great experience for me and my daughter - her earrings are perfectly even, you can definitely tell the difference in quality between this place and somewhere like Claire's, and she didn't even cry! If you are planning to go, make sure to ask them for directions before you go. They gave me excellent directions, and I was able to find them easily, but without their directions, I never would have found the place, even with my GPS. The only negative thing I could possibly say is that they are much more expensive than somewhere like Claire's (our total was about $130). But to me, it was well worth the higher cost! read more

Finally, I just drove there with my very excited 7 year old daughter in tow. 45 minutes to get there because of traffic, only to find a sign on the door that says "sorry we missed you, please call for an appointment".
