It had been a while since I'd been back, but the food tasted just as good as I remembered. We ordered a few Cuban sandwiches, some empanadas, and a small platter with assorted meats to share. Everything was delicious and brought back so many good memories. There's something really special about going back to places that were part of your routine growing up, and La Cubanita still delivers the same great flavors I remembered. I'm so glad I stopped in, and it made me really happy to experience it again.

I had a passion fruit margarita which was good. We also ordered mango habanero wings which were also good. For the entree I had to try their steak Caesar wrap with fried sweet plantains. The steak was soft and juicy, and the Caesar salad was flavorful. The sweet plantains on the side just connected all the dots for me. Our server Kelly was friendly and genuine, and came to check on us to make sure everything was good. Considering this is where my brother met his wife, it was great to celebrate the moment where they first fell in love. I'm looking forward to coming back and trying something new on the menu!

Base my reviews off what you pay:…read more *Place was pretty empty on a Sunday evening. Price - ~$110 (appetizer, 2 entrees, 2 drinks, tip) Better spots in Patchogue. Food: 3/5 - food is pretty lackluster taste-wise but makes up for in portion size. The food has that typical restaurant-like taste where if it were frozen, I would not be surprised. However the portions are massive, spent around $20-$25 on nachos and entree and both were huge. Drinks were very good, Guava Mojito was top notch. Service: 2/5 - was debating giving a 1 here but held off. Didn't get our servers name, forgot waters after asking twice, food came out right on top of one another. Overall lame. Probably the worst part. Ambiance: 2/5 - inside itself was fine but the vibe was low and there were a number of flys around our table. The place also felt pretty lifeless. Felt like my girlfriend and I were the only people having a conversation in the whole place. Just felt cold inside. Overall: 2/5 - possibly would return for takeout only and looking to grub on a lot of food. But not dine-in. Would rather other spots in Patchogue. Best Dish - Guava mojito Would Return - Probably not

Our order came out correct and timely. We were sat in the side area which was decorated to appear like it was half inside and half outside. It was a water feature and live plants which was nice. The food was ok, and the drinks were great. Although it was cute and had ample seating at the bar, inside, and outside, I don't know that I would return unless asked by someone else. The food was just ok and there are a number of other places in the surrounding areas that serve much better Spanish food. If you decide to go, the empanadas were the best thing we ate during our visit. They seemed to be "home made" which was nice.
