Our first time here, and while the ambiance was very nice--especially the chandeliers--the experience overall was disappointing. The restaurant was nearly empty on a busy Saturday night, which surprised us. They require reservations, but when we arrived, they didn't even need our name because there were so few guests. We were seated in a booth, which I wouldn't recommend. The cushions were so soft that you sink right in, and if you're taller than about 5'5", there's almost no leg room. If you do visit, definitely choose a regular table with chairs. The food itself was delicious and came out quickly. The BBQ ribs were just okay but still tender and fell off the bone. The burgers, however, were fantastic. Unfortunately, the customer service was the biggest issue. We asked twice for lemons and were brought limes for our chamomile tea. We requested salt and pepper twice, received only pepper, and had to ask a third time for salt. No one checked on us during the meal--no refills, no "How is everything?", nothing. With four of us dining, we all agreed we wouldn't return because of the poor service. Now we understand why it was so empty on a Saturday night. We also learned they automatically add a 20% gratuity, which might explain the lack of effort in providing good service. With a day of sleepless travel, a few people in our group needed a quick pick me up while wandering through Bayside Marketplace and stopped by La Industria (the cafe part more specifically). The cafe also has a sit down spot attached to it for those who want a more traditional brunch/dine in experience. The staff was friendly and funny when one of us asked if we could put the Cuban coffee over ice and they smiled and said no. We ordered and were very pleased with the Cuban coffee. It's bold and sweet with the brown sugar punching through a very full flavored coffee. One side sinks almost to the frame while the other is overly puffy. The food is good, but not worth the price. Overall I would rate it around 7/10. The fruit is excellent, easily a 10/10, while the toasts and empanadas are closer to a 7/10. A 20% tip is already included, which I do not understand. Tipping should be optional, not mandatory. My kids loved this place. We didn't expect the price tag, but it was well worth it. All of the photos were taken by them. They saw this place at night while walking past the shoppes and knew that they wanted to come back in the morning. Okay so the hype for this place wasn't all it was cracked up to be. Very aesthetic decor for being in Bayside, very cutesy. Our server was super nice and super attentive. Upon entering there is immediately water bottles placed at the table that they don't tell you if you drink from you pay for. We thankfully didn't open them and it was when we looked at the menu, did it say "Industria Water bottles @4$", we asked our server to remove them as we didn't ask for or order them. The service was really great, but I think (like everything in Miami) it was really pricey. We started off our trip to Miami by visiting Bayside Marketplace to start the Hop on Hop off tour. But, after a long travel to Miami, we were starving and found this bakery in a brochure with pictures of these delicious pancakes. We just couldn't resist! Their menu & food reminds me of the places in Las Vegas that you visit after the clubs close. My friend ordered the chicken and waffles. It comes with bacon and fries, too. The chicken was chicken tenders... and the fries came with (probably canned) nacho cheese sauce. I ordered an omelet, which was actually pretty good. One thing that they have going for them, is their portion size. The plates are definitely shareable. My friend and I ate only about half of what we ordered, and we realized our mistake of not sharing a plate in order to avoid wasting food. Went here for my bday brunch. There is no reservations so you have to go with your whole party and wait in line. There is a few street parking spots in front. For those spots you can pay with app on phone. So if you don't get those spots it's a pay to park area about a 5 minute walk or less. That was $20 when I went on a Friday. Luckily I got a street parking directly across the street. So didn't have to park in there. Upon arrival it was a long line. Which I already planned to be in a long line since you can't make reservations so I wasn't upset about it. The establishment has a small sitting area inside and outside. I don't recommend taking a large group. The smaller the group the faster you will get a table. Since it takes longer for larger groups to finish for you to be seated. After about a 20-30mins wait a manager came out and asked who would take outdoor seating. Since I had about 15 ppl in front of me I choose to take it. I might have been in line another 20-30 mins and I didn't want to chance it. Then we were seated outside. They have a scan menu for you to review on your phone. They had there own bottle water which I liked. I wanted Mimosa's but they didn't have the champagne to make it. So I told the waiter to surprise me. She brought back the strawberry mojito which was really good. Especially since I'm not a mojito fan. Next the food arrived in another 20-30 minutes. It was hot and it was great. I typically eat half my food and to go the rest. Being that I get full off the drinks lol. But in this case it was so good I finished all right there except the side of bacon. I actually didn't need the side of bacon so I took it to go. The bacon had a sweet sticky glaze on it. I'm not sure what it was but it was good. My only complaint is no reservations and the manger should have someone clean the outside seating area before opening it to customers. I highly recommend adding reservations for here. read more
