I've been to the Downtown Macondo location several times and have visited another location as well. The coffee isn't cheap, but the espresso is excellent, and I've found the food to be consistently good. I've tried several of their sandwiches, salads, and the sweet potato fries, and the service has always been quick and efficient. The Downtown location sits on a corner and gets a lot of natural light, which makes for a bright and pleasant atmosphere. It's also always very clean, which, unfortunately, can be a bit of a rarity Downtown. With so many restaurants having closed on this side of the neighborhood, Macondo has become one of the few reliable options left for a good lunch Downtown. It's definitely become one of my go-to spots in the area. read more

Came here after a cruise on a Saturday morning, it was pretty crowded but me and my friend were still able to get a table. It was nice that there was plenty of seating and restrooms available. We ordered breakfast. We got the iron man which was a pretty hearty continental breakfast, it came with both bacon and sausage, eggs, potatoes, and bread. I got the Fabio's favorite, it was toast with feta and avocado. It was lighter than the iron man but still very filling. I've visited the Macondo Downtown location once but I've ordered delivery from here a couple of times. I'm a big fan of all Macondo locations as they provide great food and coffee with great prices. I really enjoy their breakfast sandwich - I add peppers to it and it's very tasty. I've also ordered their tequeños and pan de bono and I haven't been disappointed. Staff is pretty nice. It's always a fun vibe in their locations as you'll find unique Colombian decor. read more

This place was recommended by two coworkers so a group of us decided to order lunch from here today. We ordered: Burger 2 lunch combos with the Rustica steak sandwich and pumpkin soup 1 lunch combo with the Rustica steak sandwich and lentil soup 1 lunch combo with the caprese chicken sandwich and the lentil soup 1 Macondo salad 1 Rustica steak sandwich Overall we weren't impressed with this place. The soups weren't hot. They were lukewarm at best and the lentil soup was more watery than expected. My coworker said the chicken sandwich was good. The Rustica steak sandwich was different than expected. It was not what you'd picture a steak sandwich to be. The 1/2 steak sandwich came on a different bread than the whole one and looked more like your typical steak sandwich. Both were tasty but not memorable. My coworker was happy with her salad and the other was happy with her burger. I ran into 2 other coworkers here that ordered just coffee. One ordered his coffee extra hot and said it was just warm. Went to Macondo Coffee Roasters in Downtown Miami to have a quick bite and coffee before taking the trip to West Palm Beach via Brightline. This cafe is very close to the Brightline Central Station. You order your drinks and food at the counter, wait for it, then help yourself to the dining table so I can't comment anything more about the service. There's a big and long dining table in the middle and several smaller tables and chairs, coffee tables and sofas, and booths to choose from. I had the Iced Latte, Banana Bread and the Pan de Bono. The coffee was okay, the Banana Bread and the bite-size Pan de Bono was good. The cafe have a rustic, colorful decors and furnitures and a relaxing atmosphere and ambiance. Check it out! read more

Very tasty food, we all had different things to try it was a great variety from wrap to sandwich to bowl and salad and no one had complaints only good things to say. Service was fast, friendly and efficient with even the owner passing by the table which was a nice touch. I go here often due to convenience and generally do enjoy the coffee/food here. However, I find that their espresso drinks are made inconsistently. The amount of milk used in their espresso drinks is different depending who makes it. I don't think they measure it out so don't expect your latte to be the same everytime you go. My drink today was way too much milk. read more
