The wife helped us pick tea, speaking a little English, and was very encouraging towards our own attempts at French. In addition to buying tea to go, we also had a cup on the spot. The tea was great and the environment was warm and relaxing, with jazz music playing in the background. Lastly, the store has a nice selection of different Belgian sweets (chocolate, cookies, etc.) from other businesses if tea is, well, not your cup of tea. Overall, this tea house is an amazing gem nestled in a rather busy and occasionally touristy area that should not be missed.

The pastries look magical, glittering with different colors. Sits perfectly in with the surrounding architecture. The shop keeper was very nice and efficient. I came by at 9:45 and was told they opened at 10, came back at 10:05, they said another 20 mins. I went to Frite and ordered my liege waffle (costs 3€ here as opposed to the 2.50 at Funambule). They just reheat the waffle in the iron. Service is much better here, nice and kind. The waffle itself was denser and sweeter than the Belgian waffle. I actually preferred this because of the crunchy bites and I didn't mind that some of it was a little floppy- it made for good bite ratios.
