CASH ONLY the reason why im giving this review is not based on the food at all as we did not get to sample it. the reason why I am giving this amount of stars is for the fact that the CASH ONLY is just a lazy and cheap move from them not to pay credit card taxes with their transactions, making an inconvenience to the customer like me who would have loved to try it out but did not have any euros exchanged. they are located at a epicenter of tourism so there is no excuse to not have a credit card machine to get a wider range of customers at the door. I am very disappointed and I hope they work on it and take cards in the future so everyone can experience their waffles.

What we tried: 1) Chocolate waffle 2) Plain normal waffle - recommended What we liked: Nice sticky Belgium waffle with nice doughy taste that feels a bit of raw sugary dough which was quite nice What we disliked: The waffle was sticky but not crispy. If the waffle is not freshly hot, don't get it. It's only nice when it's hot! The dough was not fluffy and airy enough for our taste. Some like it some not: It's sweet. It's melted sugar and pieces of sugar you can taste in combination of heavy butter. If you get the chocolate waffle, add chocolate to all this and you can imagine how guilty and dead you'll feel after :D

I feel like this might be a super touristy place, or maybe I'm just a tourist and don't know what a good waffle is, but I thought Vitalgaufre was amazing. The best waffles I've had in my life. I didn't think Belgian waffles would live up to the hype but by gosh, DID they. I was actually so pleasantly surprised that I ended up coming here twice in the 5 days I was there. The waffles were sweet, fluffy on the inside, and crispy on the outside. I had the chocolate one and the plain one, and I thought the chocolate one was a bit too sweet, but the plain one was very good. They also asked if I wanted a little bit of whipped cream the first time, and I thought, a little bit of whipped cream? Why not? So I agreed, and got WAY more whipped cream than I bargained for. Take that how you will, but overall, the waffles here are wonderful. Definitely stop by Vitalgaufre!

These waffles are soooo tasty! Must stop by and taste these if you're in Brussels. It's a little mom and pop shop located pretty close to the grand place area. I ordered a waffle with chocolate sauce on it because we went late in the day and they were out of fruit. I was happy with just chocolate sauce. It was so tasty and I almost wanted to order one more. Must try! Also much cheaper than other waffle stands.

I heard about this place and decided I wanted to try it out for the liege waffles. I wasn't sure what to expect but when I arrived, it was in the middle of a shopping district and there was a line. It was a little confusing but you get in line around the corner where you order and you pay, receiving a "ticket." You take the ticket to the person and they'll get your order for you. There are several flavor choices: vanilla (original), apple, raspberry, chocolate (with sticks of chocolate running through it), and cinnamon. I may have missed one more. They're someone decently priced - not cheap but not expensive, either. They're a good size and placed in a bit of thick Vitalgaufre paper where you can hold and eat. As you hold it, bits of the waffle may stick to the paper a little, but that's to be expected. We purchased the apple-flavored one and it was warm with a bit of caramelization on the outside. It was perfectly apple-flavored - nothing over powering nor was it too sweet. This waffle has a more bread-like consistency and frankly needs no toppings (though they are offered). It's filling enough on its own. In the end, I'm not sure if I prefer the Belgian waffle or the liege waffle. I think it mainly depends on my mood at the time. However, I would definitely say that this waffle is delicious and good if you want something indulgent on the go.

Epic ness. Their waffles are amazing. After one bite I was trying to plan out the rest of my trip to ensure I get more before I leave Brussels. I walked by it three times before trying it and there was always a line. Well worth it!

These waffles were amazinggg! They had a nice crisp and were sweet on the outside soft and chewy on the inside. Make sure to bring cash with you because you don't want to miss out.

Best waffle I've had in my life! Chocolate Waffle 5/5 - Great quality chocolate (not those diluted sugary or milky types) oozing out from within the waffle. Crisp on the outside and softer on the inside. Rasberry Waffle 3/5 - Waffle is also of good quality, softer than the chocolate, and a pretty pink. However, too sweet/sugary for my liking. (I dont have a sweet tooth)

Perfect Belgian waffles. The plain waffle is great by itself. The outside is caramelized and the inside is warm and soft. The taste is out of this world. The waffle with the chocolate inside it is F@#$ing amazing. They prong the waffle with sticks of chocolate. By the time you start eating it, the chocolate is already melting into the waffle. F@#%ing amazing...

Vitalgaufre is by far the best Belgian Waffles as each of their waffles completely embodies and incapsulates every thought or dream of what REAL BELGIAN WAFFLES are supposed to taste like. There are many breakfast establishments all over the world that offers Belgian Waffles but the problem I've always run into was each so called Belgian Waffle tasted like every other waffle until I bit into the gooey, soft, luxurious sweetness that Vitalgaufre has perfected with their Authentic Belgian Waffles. They offer Vanilla, Raspberry, and Apple flavors and if you never had a Vitalgaufre Belgian Waffle start with Vanilla and work your way down to Raspberry and Apple. Nothing I repeat nothing compares to these Belgian Waffles and you'll be hard pressed to find anything close to what each waffle will do to all of your senses. Vitalgaufre Belgian Waffles alone justifies a trip to Brussels. They have only three franchises in the US but they don't taste the same in comparison to the original establishment.

Oh man...I started at Maison Dandoy and then tried Vitalgaufre on my waffle tour, which was a mistake. The waffles are good, but I wouldn't say best in Brussels. I was drawn to the different varieties of waffles, prompting me to order a raspberry waffle. Unfortunately, the raspberries tasted artificial, ruining the waffle for me. Lesson learned: stick with the original. I noticed there were several families ordering and several happy children with mouths full of waffles. Perhaps this is the kid-friendly waffle takeaway?

The waffles here were fresh and delicious compared to the others we had seen in Brussels. You could smell them as you walked down the street, and they pulled them straight out of the waffle maker as your ordered them then added the chocolate in on the spot!

Favorite waffles in Brussels. Simple with the flavor cooked inside and different from other waffle places in Brussels. Also, a good bargain.

The fresh waffles are crispy. Ask for the ones that freshly came out of the waffle maker. They give tourists the old soggy ones.

He put emphasis on putting a higher percentage of cocoa in a smaller piece, minimizing the sugars. He also puts emphasis in sourcing cocoa beans directly from the growers. Each piece is assembled at their factory in Brussels and delivered to their shops all around the world. I was introduced to Pierre Marcolini in Japan of all places when the No1DP gifted chocolate to me at their shop in Tokyo Station. However I didn't know about the brand all that much until I took a Beer and Chocolate Tour offered by the Brussels Journey (https://www.yelp.com/biz/the-brussels-journey-bruxelles-2?hrid=_rEIZsWrygpqHYK9wROIKQ). There was a really nice lady at the counter that helped me with the process of buying chocolate there. I got a variation of their signature box Malline Découverte where I was able to make a custom box. Note that this is the only option to make a custom box. The box fits around 35-40 pieces and costs €39. There were plenty of premade boxes for sale but if I was going to pay €39 for a box I might as well enjoy each piece.
