Lovely shop on the main street downtown. I wasn't sure what to expect from the window offerings but was pleasantly surprised by the myriad of carefully selected gift items this treasure trove contained. I was most impressed with the extensive collection of Ayala Bar accessories in the mirrored cases towards the back of the shop. She is one of my favorite artists and I chatted with the sales associate for a bit before trying on several pieces. I was looking for a pair of earrings that would go well with a lot of my neutral everyday wear, something that would be simple yet elegant, but unique and beautiful. I found just the perfect pair here along with a gift for my sister that I knew immediately would be her birthday gift. The nice salesperson boxed up the items and added a nice ribbon to the gift item. I loved this shop and look forward to future visits. read more

I cannot recommend this business highly enough! The items they carry are incredibly unique and the staff is very accommodating in locating a different item should you prefer a different color or configuration. I have made numerous purchases in the store & via telephone - when I saw a piece I liked in the store but did not purchase it then. The staff worked with me to purchase it over the phone, have it appraised & shipped to me - (I live out of state) - insured as it was quite expensive, with a specific delivery date & time per my request. They have another piece I want, but in a different color configuration & design. They worked with directly with theartist who is willing to make the changes I requested. I just can't say enough good things about this store & it's personnel. I wish I was able to get to Truckee more often, it is definitely my favorite store - & people! read more

We met a lovely lady from Virginia, and a very nice gentleman that was quite knowledgeable about the store's products. (Sorry I didn't get their names.) OMG, if you are a jewelry freak like I am, you will seriously appreciate the beautifully handcrafted artisan pieces featured at La Galleria. We saw pieces designed by an artist who took molds of blades of grass, then casted them in bronze and pieced these together to create necklaces and rings. Lots of silver, gems and statement pieces (which I am a freak for!). I didn't find any deals for myself, the prices were kind of pricey but worth the money for these fabulously UNIQUE pieces. When I get some money together in the future, I'd love to come back to purchase a special piece for myself. The staff were very friendly and made it a point to welcome myself and my mom into the shop, (unlike a few other stores down the street). I visited historic downtown Truckee around 6 o'clock. I figured it would be a nice time after dinner to shop..... little did I know everything was closed!!! Except.... for this hidden local gem. Wow was that a HUGE sign. This little shop is probably my favorite new boutique and they just opened up a location in South Reno! They have a variety of high end art and decor but also have some very beautiful and unique gifts like bottle openers, handmade jewelry, stuffed animals, home decor, and soooooo so much more!!! I stopped in for some graduation presents because I couldn't buy the typical "2017 congrats grad" picture frame. The man at the front desk immediately greeted me and helped me find everything for a PERFECT gift bag. I settled on an agate Lake Tahoe shaped coaster, a hand cut metal California bottle opener, a small silver heart shaped box, and a cute hand sewn makeup bag. Not only was the service absolutely SPECTACULAR but I felt a genuine sense of helping rather than upselling. The prices are fair to expensive as you get into more upscale and custom/local decor but nothing was horrible. It's what you would expect to pay at a beautiful little gem like La Galleria. After I settled on all my goodies, the man individually wrapped all of my items in gift wrap and then in a gift bag. It was so beautiful and the perfect touch for a gift and excellent customer satisfaction. I LOVEDDDDDD it here. Definitely will go to the Reno location and return to shop. 10/10 recommend! read more

Every time I am in town, this is a must stop on my route. I tell myself it is to browse ... and 45 minutes later, I exit with a bag containing a cute La Galleria box and a lovely bauble inside. One time a set of earrings, next a matching ring, necklace and earrings (and I don't do matching ... at least I didn't before!), last visit I got a great watch ... for $35!. I could continue... Their selection is great and eclectic (in a good way) - with prices from $12-15 for earrings up to hundreds of dollars for beautiful rings, necklaces, etc. They have other things besides jewelry, but ladies ... the jewelry is what will make you keep coming back. The staff is great, very helpful and give you just the right amount of attention. Love, love, love this place! read more

This is the place were you just have to loose the time. You can't be in a hurry, this is the place to browse. Staff is really friendly and they don't mind you trying on every piece of jewelry that catches your eye. In fact, they encourage it. If the owner of this store wasn't so rude I would give it 4 stars. I spent about 30 minutes in the store today and was impressed with their collection but the owner made a snarky comment to the friendly clerk who was assisting me that she "must like talking to salespeople". (I used to own a store myself and can only guess she didn't like that I questioned where the items were made.) I can't understand how anyone could give this amazing shop anything less than 5 stars. This owner and her staff have "the eye" for object d'art varying from jewelry to art to furniture and more. We were welcomed by the very friendly staff and perused the jewelry. One of the artists had a few different moonstones which were very high quality. Some items were Balinese origin: an island with some of the most highly skilled artisans on our planet. You can fly 23 hours to go shopping or just patronize your local La Galleria and pick up Bali art PLUS amazing local artisans work from the Tahoe area. visited la galleria this weekend. very disappointed in how things were priced. was going to buy a necklace, was told it was approximately $112, once price tag on it. at register when i went to pay the price was higher and was told the chain was $60 dollars additional. think this is a very deceiving, unethical way to run a business. when you for a price, one tag on item, they should give you the true price or explain that they have a sytem of not marking the chain and only tell you when you go to pay. artist and store lost a sale. manager didn't seem all that concerned, tried to get owners name, not much luck. read more
