I've been a customer of white buffalo for almost 7 years now. I seem to get at least one piece a year at this point. I'd have to say the stand out of this place is the staff. They are knowledgeable, kind, helpful, friendly, and personable. I truly enjoy coming in here. What a great Truckee Store! My son discovered it during the summer when he spotted a Zuni inlay cuff that caught his eye. The selection of fine, interesting Native American and South West jewelry was top-notch. They greeted us when we walked in and immediately showed us their amazing offerings. This is one of the cute little shops in downtown Truckee and been in California I wasn't surprised how expensive it was. We came in for a wedding and my husband needed a bolo tie as he forgot his at home. The one he got here was what I believe a fake stone and a thin leather string, not ugly but very small. White Buffalo is a sweet little shop located in downtown Truckee. It's chock full of jewelry, little touches for the home and more. If I'm being honest, a lot of items did not suit my personal taste, but you can't win 'em all. The shop was clean with room to move about. The staff was extremely nice. This place had so many varieties of art and jewelry. There was so much to look at! I was in awe of the gorgeous panoramic photos on the wall. They also had some awesome vintage style metal signs which I have started to really love lately. The prices ranged quite a bit, some items were very reasonably priced and some were quite a bit more expensive. My find were these awesome vintage style cards with Truckee spelled out and various vignettes in each letter. I also found a great card with a vintage skier illustrated on the front. I am always on the hunt for unique cards to mail my penpal. This place was a great find for that. I will definitely return for more! read more

The service is friendly and very knowledgeable. A gorgeous , unique, and always changing selection of the very best. I own a lot of pieces and they never go out of style or fall apart. If something bends, breaks or a piece is lost, they fix it free. Francisco Jimenez's pieces are works of art, though expensive. There is also a huge selection of Tahoe's local gemstone: gold inflected white quartz from the 16 to 1 gold mine. Anything at this shop may well be the best souvenir from your trip to Truckee. I used to go here when I lived in Truckee and I'd get homesick. Not too many other American Indians living in Truckee, don't you know. Not bad, though very overpriced. I have a passion of Southwestern native american jewelry and they have a great selection. But I didn't buy too many big pieces here as I've seen much better prices elsewhere. Considering there aren't many other places like this in the quaint little area, I guess buying some souvenirs here isn't that bad. This is the most wonderful shop! When my wife and I were engaged, just before we married, we visited this shop and picked out two of the most unique rings made of gold and quartz. Unfortunately, we didn't have the funds to purchase these back then. Not too long ago my wife was visiting the area again and as a surprise she purchased these same rings for our 10 year Anniversary. I found White Buffalo on line and saw a Gold Quartz ring I just had to have. Communicating with Lisa Soule, she sent me some pictures of some areas of it I couldn't see.
