Men's clothing selection is nice But I probably wouldn't be able to find anything in the women's section in my size. At least not in the times I have been to the store. That said, I have a few qualms with customer service. I personally have not had any problems but my teenager, who has been in a couple. The last two occasions were their last. The first time they wanted to purchase a pair of gloves. The gloves were 32.99. My teenager had two 20s. They were told that they no longer take cash. I found that odd because I had been in just a few weeks prior and used cash. Thinking it was a new policy I figured no big deal, I'll just go in and get the gloves which I did. I used my card and there was no issue. A few months later my teenager went in again, this time with a card, and again tried to get an item. This time a beanie. They were told that their card was not accepted. When I asked for clarification my teenager said they didn't even run it they just said they weren't accepting that card. It's a MasterCard. I have no idea what the problem was this time. My teenager also told me that they were followed around the store and felt uncomfortable. My teen was there with their friend. Both kids are amazing young people who never get in trouble, are not rowdy, and are very respectful. My teen is actually quite shy and so going up to buy items causes a bit of anxiety. When they encounter this issue with the card they just put the hat down and left with no words. Since this experience my teen and their friend have not gone back. They both felt unwelcome in the store and like they shouldn't be there. Their stories of how they've been treated when going in alone (they're 16 so old enough to shop on their own) has really soured my opinion and has made me avoid Cabona's.

I do most of my Christmas shopping there but only regret their women's clothing getting pushed out! You're gonna LOVE it!

They have a section of $5 earrings that I always gravitate towards, and they have a good selection of inexpensive hair clips. The customer service is friendly and they are happy to answer questions about the products or help you find something specific. The only downside is the last time I went, I asked about a specific item I've bought multiple times under the impression it was local/handmade, but found out it isn't. Not a big deal but was a little sad because I try to buy stuff that supports local artists as well as the local shops.

For starters, the first thing i hear when i walked in was the two employees talking negatively about a previous customer who came in. They weren't trying to conceal their conversation or be professional; they were loud and didn't have a care who heard. Additionally, the girls working there somehow made me feel like i was... intruding, simply by being a shopper. I say this because they did not acknowledge me while i was there. No "hello", "finding everything okay?", "thank you for shopping", "bye, have a nice day!"... literally nothing. Even when i would go up to ask questions, it would take an uncomfortable amount of time before they paused their casual conversations with one another to acknowledge me, resulting in me standing there, waiting, with a pile of clothes in my arms (this happened TWICE in the 15 minutes i was there). I wanted to buy a couple things but was so turned off by the whole interaction that i decided not to give my $$ to this establishment. Overall, the sense of entitlement in this space was insane. Not once have i have this experience shopping in DT Truckee, and based on other reviews from this place, it's evident this is a longstanding issue. I hope the owner makes some employee changes in the near future.

I had a great experience at this local establishment. I went to downtown Truckee to search for a present for my wife's birthday. The minute I walked through the door I was greeted and offered assistance. The girls at the counter had a lot of great recommendations of popular items and were super friendly. I ended up getting quite a few things for my wife and she loved every single thing that I bought her. We ended up going back to the Reno location to see what they had to offer and had a great experience there as well! The Reno Location is a lot bigger than the Truckee store and has kind of a different vibe. We will be back! read more

They may have a few men's items, but this is mostly women's clothes and goods. And also: they sell candles, jewelry and other accessories and gifts. They have a sale section in the back. They host pop up events. I pretty much want everything when I go in.
