Cute selection of clothes. Very expensive for the quality you are getting, but that's not even my main qualm with this place. The customer service was terrible. For starters, the first thing i hear when i walked in was the two employees talking negatively about a previous customer who came in. They weren't trying to conceal their conversation or be professional; they were loud and didn't have a care who heard. Additionally, the girls working there somehow made me feel like i was... intruding, simply by being a shopper. I say this because they did not acknowledge me while i was there. No "hello", "finding everything okay?", "thank you for shopping", "bye, have a nice day!"... literally nothing. Even when i would go up to ask questions, it would take an uncomfortable amount of time before they paused their casual conversations with one another to acknowledge me, resulting in me standing there, waiting, with a pile of clothes in my arms (this happened TWICE in the 15 minutes i was there). I wanted to buy a couple things but was so turned off by the whole interaction that i decided not to give my $$ to this establishment. Overall, the sense of entitlement in this space was insane. Not once have i have this experience shopping in DT Truckee, and based on other reviews from this place, it's evident this is a longstanding issue. Discovered this place recently when my mom was in town, and they had a great, curated clothing selection. We both found some really cute comfy items and the staff was very friendly. The prices were also reasonable. It was similar to a boutique you would find in SF but not nearly as expensive. Definitely will shop there again. read more

TL;DR - I want to go back to Truckee just to shop here again. If you're visiting Truckee, come by Dressed!!! It was such a crazy good find. First of all, they give you hand sanitizer in front and they have a box of extra 3-ply face masks in case you don't have one! This is so awesome. They have a great selection of clothes and you don't feel cramped or packed in there like sardines. It was spacious. I took a quick glance, and a majority of items were ranging from $20-$60, with the average around ~$35! That's not bad, to be honest. I found cute dresses and cozy sweaters for $30-something. I really loved the styles they offered. I ended up getting a cute light lime green dress and these white loafers. These shoes are real leather and just so comfortable! Very surprised to find reasonable priced clothes in a store in a tourist area. They were having a sale so I was able to get a really soft well made sweater for $33 with tax. Normally places that look like this are hundreds for a sweater. The sizes were limited though .... they didn't have much in 14 and up unfortunately. I've been coming here for years and have always loved the reasonably priced, cute clothing. However, in the past few years the customer service has been a huge turnoff. Let me start by saying I realize it's hard to staff in the area. With turnover, seasons, etc. we realize staffing in a mountain town can be challenging. However, this isn't an excuse for rude and poor customer service. The past few times, the girls have been too busy scrolling on their phones or chatting with friends to even acknowledge patrons coming through the doors. We went in on the 4th of July and were the only customers in the store. There were 2-3 (hard to tell who was working and who was just hanging out) girls working and not a single one even acknowledged our existence, besides one who just glared at me as I browsed the rack by the desk. The room was dead silent as they watched us shop and offered zero help or even so much as a hello. The whole experience was so uncomfortable we walked out. If this happened once, no big deal...we all have bad days. But this has been consistent over the past few visits. Rude service and lack of customer service. It takes little effort to train your staff to say hello, offer a smile or even a friendly face, ask if you need any assistance, and actively look out to start rooms for people when their hands are overflowing with merchandise. Sad because this store could do great if people were a bit more friendly and made customers feel welcomed to shop. read more

Nice space but didn't see anything my style. Nobody pressured me to buy but they also weren't very available to answer any questions or help find things, either. Luckily you can walk straight down the middle of the store and do a quick loop to see everything they have to offer. The shorter brunette associate walked by the other customers with a friendly hello, and when she got to me and my sister she turned to not even provide service, uttered a VERY RACIAL EPITAPH directed at me (ch$&ks) and walked away. I came into Dressed Boutique during last weeks Truckee Thursday (8/3) and was THOROUGHLY disappointed. I've been a returning customer here for years, but after my visit last week I will not be returning or giving this store any more money. When I walked in I was greeted with a friendly welcome from multiple employees who informed me of their sale going on for the night. Once I walked into the back of the store I noticed a woman, who I presumed to be the owner (bleach blonde hair with her arms covered in tattoos), setting up a hat display with a young Hispanic man. She was berating this poor man for trying to help her and once he took a step back she very loudly stated "WHY IS HE JUST STANDING THERE, I THOUGHT MEXICANS WERE HARD WORKERS". Hearing this is extremely upsetting and I will not continue to give my money to a racist, entitled white woman. I wish I would've read previous Yelp reviews to see what this "business owner" was really about. Will not be returning. read more

I agree with Angi and Lyn. I usually look forward to going to Dressed when I visit friends in Truckee and have purchased many cute outfits every time. This time the customer service was horrific. None of the sales people working even said hello and welcome (temp, summer employees?). You think they would be extra welcoming consider business has closed or slow due to COVID-19. Only the young fellow helped me out eventually, but the blond hair girl with a white tank and very short shorts didn't acknowledge my friend and me. I may not be white (mind you my friend is) but work on improving your customer service and treat all equally. We have a cabin in Truckee and we always enjoy going DT to do some shopping. This store is always our favorite stop!! Clothes are cute, trendy and reasonable compared to the other stores there. Unfortunately, I had to return 2 items due to sizing issues. Natalie who remained professional to the end, was willing to make accommodations for a late return because I am out of state now and a few other reasons. Items had tags on one and tags inside one. Took pictures for proof and shipped them out. Once delivered, I had a whole new Natalie who was very rude, childish, bully/nasty behavior and insisted I only get a gift card instead. I will save the details for another day. But Natalie needs to be called out for the lies she spewed, her unprofessionalism, telling me that if I don't handle the situation today that the owner will forget about me because "they have other people to take care of" and for hiding my tags that were there! Now let's move on to Kait, the owner. Kait, thank you for returning my clothes back to me, I do appreciate that. However I do not appreciate how unprofessional you acted in that entire situation. You are supposed to be professional as you are the owner. Unfortunately, I was confronted with way too many long messages going on a rant about everything...Instead of acting like an adult, an owner of a business and a professional. I asked for a phone call and instead got all of that. I was accused and blamed for things I did not do or say. Kait- I do appreciate you partially apologizing for one of the situations even though it was a "my bad" and not an "I'm sorry"- I'll take it.Natalie, I will give you the opportunity to email me personally to apologize before I show the proof of tags and other things you lied about. Ok- so I went back. The music was better, not my style, but non-offensive. I'd love to say the sales people were more attentive but not really. Not to the degree that you would expect a small boutique store who relies on foot traffic to be. This store was such a great little find! Was in town for a quick weekend trip and decided to step in after getting lunch nearby. The store was really big and spacious and had tons of clothes throughout. I was a bit overwhelmed with how much I liked so many of the things and was impressed with the reasonable price points compared to where I'd normally go in the Bay. Ended up leaving with a long, silk leopard printed skirt, a cross button dress and a cute black crop top. It ended up totaling a little over $100 which I thought was a pretty good deal overall. I was in the Dressed boutique store yesterday and the ladies working there were very rude. while trying to ask them for a dressing room they ignored me and other customers while they were asking the same thing. the ladies did not seem all there in their right minds which I thought was strange. While going to check out they were still having there side conversations and were also using their juuls in front of customers. My family and I walked into this store and no one acknowledge us because we are not white. We browsed around for 10-15 minutes and the 2 blonde sales associates acted like we did not exist. As soon as a white person walked in, they welcomed them with open arms. Our family has owned vacation homes here on Northwoods since 2012 and just purchased another vacation home on Swiss Lane.
