We went in Thursday. The manager and other woman working were so friendly and professional. They stopped talking as soon as we walked up, put the customers first, were super efficient and nice. Instead of buying 1 pair of shoes, we bought 2 and will keep going back. read more

Quality/Quantity - Huge store, with decent selections. I am shopping to replace my Arizona Birkenstocks and to hopefully find a travel woven loafer. Birkenstocks - Fully in stock, but rarely on sale. Next time they are on sale for $99.99, I will buy two pairs. And on their website they do not even carry the Honolulu Birkenstocks... Woven Loafer - Finally found one I liked at Dillards, except for the color. There were NO woven loafers here at all. Just ordered 4 shoes from DSW, as they sell the same/similar brands for less. Will update if needed. They also have a slightly larger online selection. Atmosphere - Good size, clean organized. Open 7 days a week from 10am to 8pm and until 6pm on Sundays and Mondays. Plenty of mall parking. Service - Self service. Price - Reasonable. Birkenstocks have price control, so it almost doesn't matter where you buy them from. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since 1960, starting as Neils Factory Shoe Outlet, and to your parent company Caleres Inc.'s success for the last 130 years. read more

Worst cashier and customer service. I'm not sure of the name of the girl that helped me, but when I walked in an older women and a younger women were talking and they seemed annoyed like I interrupted their conversation. I ended up buying a pair of shoes in store and shipping another pair to the store, the younger cashier seemed annoyed that I didn't ship it to my house instead. And then when my shoes got delivered, I got an email at 3 pm, I got a call a few minutes after 3 that I was unable to answer because I was at work. In the voicemail I can hear the younger and older ladies talking, and she doesn't realize it went to voicemail, she proceeds to act like I'm the one that's stupid bc Im not talking to her over the phone, maybe because...it's a voicemail! She hangs up and calls back, leaving another rude voicemail. read more

I have always loved shopping at this famous footwear until yesterday . My daughter and I were looking for graduation shoes and walked through the door at 6:47pm. The lady working was incredibly rude to us and immediately told us and all the other people in the store shopping that we had to leave because they were closing . We are fast shoppers and I was aware that they were closing soon, we would have been out of the store in 10 minutes and probably made a purchase . Now I don't want to go back! read more

While it was easy to navigate and find good shoes. The cashier associate 290545 wasn't very professional , when I approached the register she was on a phone call that sounded personal. Not to mention she was pretty rude during the transaction. Here's a tip, be kinder. I understand jobs can be stressful however when working in customer service it is crucial you provide a good experience. read more

I called the store the other day to see if they have the brand of shoe I've been looking for. I got to speak to Rita the manager. What a delightful person! I waited till today and she was so helpful. I found exactly what I needed and because they were having both a sale and a BOGO event I could afford both. The store has a great selection of both men and women's shoes and boots. I've not frequented this store in the past but I most certainly will in the future. Thanks again Rita! read more

On a pursuit to update my dress shoes for the holidays. But no success. Boo Hoo.. When it comes to work or dressy shoes, I'm kind of particular. With the cold winter weather in our Biggest Little City, open toed shoes don't make a lot of sense to me. But I guess that's the hit of the season with the majority. I like how the salespeople always say hello and wish you a nice day when you leave. I do like the boots, boots, boots. But that was not my mission for today's trip. Convenient location in South Reno read more

I was in dire need of a new pair of tennis shoes and had been looking around at a few stores, then decided to check out Famous Footwear. The store is big and they have a wide selection of brands. The regular prices are comparable to other shoe stores for most brands. I found a pair I liked and at checkout, the associate enrolled me in their rewards program, which gave me an additional discount I could redeem on my purchase. The store was clean and well organized. The staff was so friendly and helpful! read more

Walked into the store and employees were very courteous upon arrival, greeting and saying hello. Yet all three of them were having a conversation and did not offer help. I was looking for work shoes, and went straight to the sneakers against the back wall. Found a few things that might have worked for my new job, looked at the clearance rack, tried on a few things, then headed back up the wall where I had previously looked at the sneakers. Took some photos to send to my boss, because I am supposed to be wearing all black shoes. The Pumas fit really well, however they were supposed to be all black and there was a small emblem with neon pink on them. I was waiting for my boss to respond before purchasing. Unfortunately, I could not buy the sneakers with any color on them. So I headed to the front door. One of your associates yelled at me "ma'am I need those sneakers that are on your feet" my response was "you mean the shoes that I walked in with?" she looked at me, then gave a half assed apology as I walked out the door. Maybe if your employees spent more time focused on customer service instead of each other you would have more customers. I was accused of stealing shoes that I had worn into the store and I am mortified with what was insinuated. I will not return. This incident just happened, you can check the time clock for the employees that were on shift. Good luck getting more business. read more

Shoes are one thing I have to buy in person for my kiddos and we really enjoy the kids selection & ease of shopping here. The prices are a bit steep, but the quality is worth it. Their shoes last much longer for my active kiddos. read more

Was looking for practical, comfortable,non-heeled black work shoes specially Oxford's for women a month or so ago. Walked in and did a fast walk through, non of their women shoes fit the bill. None of them where Work Oxfords. All of their business shoes for women where healed, overly fru frued, or just plan ugly. So I checked the men's work oxfords and their sizes where not small enough. Lastly, no one offered to help or even said hello the entire time I was in there. Nope, nope, nopey, nope, nope! read more

Famous Footwear - Absolutely nothing practical for women - Shoe Stores Near Me - Reno, Nevada

Online shopping was made for me. I am not a fan of browsing, not a fan of trying to find things I like and I have become quite fussy and not so patient. I recently had to return some kids shoes and expected a disaster when I went into Famous footwear. Quickly, the manager helped me to let me know if they had the correct size Croc I needed and to make sure I knew where they were. I was so impressed with their customer service I returned a week later to buy Crocs for my other kiddo. Again, the girls were authentic and kind and I was very happy to buy local rather than online. I will be back maybe this time for ME! read more

I needed some new kicks, so the wife and I stopped in at Famous Footwear on Saturday, 7-31-10. We were greeted as we walked in the door and asked if we needed assistance. "No thanks, I know what I need and I know where they're at." I headed straight for the Chuck Taylors and found my size 10's in high-tops and black in color. I also found a great pair of Skechers Men's Exact - Sphere shoes for $59 bucks (http://www.skechers.com/shoes-and-clothing/men/styles/casual_shoes/product/exact_-_sphere/blk/#). And the best deal of the day, if you bought one pair of shoes, you got the second pair half off. Thats right, two pairs of kicks for $69 bucks. read more

Wish I could give a nice review. They close the store 10 minutes before closing. Wont see myself going here since they can't stay open during hours. Couldn't get work shoes, walked here for nothing. Very disappointing. Employees were inside and refused to open the door. Gave them a call to express my frustration that I wasn't being let in the store and they wanted to give the the excuse "Our system said 6 so our systems are shut down. We're open at 10 so come then." A huge thank you to Reda at Famous Footwear at Sierra Town Center in Reno, NV. We went there in search of a specific men's slip-on shoe and she found it for us in the right size and color. Then she helped fix our loyalty account and rang us up with smile. It was so refreshing to meet someone with such a positive attitude about her job. Thank you Reda...we'll be back! read more

This weekend we were fortunate enough that there was a Yelp coupon to save 25%! We didn't know until we arrived and checked in, always have to pay attention on your Yelp app :) They had a decent selection of shoes at reasonable prices. After shopping 3 other stores the wife and I both ended up buying shoes from here. They had a good selection in their clearance area if you aren't looking to spend too much. Their customer service was the best, out of this store and the 3 others we visited. This will be my first, and possibly my only stop next time I need some reasonably priced footwear. read more

Just did a walk-by today. Hubby is looking for a specific steel-toed boots. I browsed and found that the items are over-priced, even for the items oon clearance, compared to my favorite shoe store, DSW. There's not that much of a selection either. But the employee was friendly. That always helps. read more

Famous Footwear - Shoe Stores Near Me - Reno, Nevada

To me, a shoe store is a shoe store. You are only going there if you are in fact, looking for shoes. Famous Footwear has been at this location for quite a few years and they have a good selection of men's, women's and kid's shoes. They don't have a TON of different shoe styles, but I'm sure trying to supply shoes to everyone's taste in every size imaginable would be extremely difficult. The location is convenient, the parking is convenient, the store is clean and the employees are friendly. They also have a rewards program, so if you've been shopping here without using your loyalty card, you're missing out on coupons and extra deals on shoes. And if you're like me and lose every single one of those cards from every store you have them at, they can look you up by name too. This location has a great selection of clearance items and it seems like they are always running a sale. Whether it's a buy one at regular price and get one half off or my personal favorite, buy one on clearance and get the second pair on clearance half off. That's right, I scored two pairs of shoes for $60. Normally these would have been $200! And I earned points on top of it - win! read more

They are a joke here. Super disrespectful while I'm spending good money. I'm honestly contemplating on returning the , two pairs of shoes I just bought and calling corporate. Won't be going back here again. read more

This Famous Footwear seems smaller than other ones. Their selection here seemed very limited. Almost all the shoes I saw on their website weren't available in the store. What really pissed me off is the lady who was there when I made returns. I went to return shoes with the receipt that I bought online. I didn't have the credit card that I put it on and they said that they cannot grant a refund on a different card.... Once in awhile when I have gone for returns, the store has let me use a different card without a problem. Not here. Ended up having to get store credit. read more

I was really needing a new pair of shoes, and I walked in & Luis (assistant manager) greeted me. Luis was very helpful & I will be going back to visit him soon! read more

This store made me so happy! I have been on the hunt for comfortable trail running/hiking shoes for a year, and already returned 3 pairs to REI becasue of blisters etc.. Sierra Trading Post is next door and I picked out a pair of comfortable Vasque hiking shoes, but then I went next door to Famous Footwear and found NIKE ACG trail shoes! OMG I was so excited, I wear Mens 10.5 Nike's and they always fit my feet perfect. Unfortunately they did not have these shoes in the store, BUT*** and this is the great thing about Famous Footwear, they located and are having them shipped to my house in my size for FREE! So excited, now I have a reason to get my butt back in shape! read more

For a man with extra wide feet, it is difficult to find a store that caries shoes that fit and don't cost a fortune. Famous Footwear on the other hand had name brand shoes; like Nike, Adidas, and Asics; with wide sizes in stock. The staff was friendly and willing to help clarify how to find the specific sizes I was looking for. I was also not followed around the store and badgered about whether or not I needed help. If all this were not enough, the prices are fantastic. Name brand shoes regularly priced at 100+ dollars are all selling for around $60, which I feel is more than reasonable. This is a great place to shop if you are trying to find the styles you want for a price that won't bleed your wallet dry. read more

I went in a few weeks ago to buy my three year old new shoes. I had an associate measure him and she sold me a size 11. After leaving the store wearing the shoes we got home (hour away) only to realize they were huge on him. Had him re measured at Nike and they were a size and a half to big. Went to return and Brain the store associate refused, ok I can live with that, but was absolutely so rude and dismissive I couldn't believe it. You need to train your employees not to speak to people that way. read more

I love shoes...L O V E. Cannot stress this enough. This store gives me chills every time I walk in. That new shoe smell is enough. Having a bad day? Just walk in, take a whiff and walk out. Okay, maybe that's a bit much. Anyways...The selection is fabulous for the whole family. The shoes are reasonably priced for the brands and quality. The staff are very friendly and don't hover. read more

Went to FF for a pair of brown dress shoes today. Unfortunately athletic shoes dominate, and what few dress shoes they have are mostly black. So I loosened my criterion to dress or work shoes, still found only 4 styles to choose from. Ended up with a pair of Dockers, after trying all the styles in multiple sizes. I was there a long time. So, the four stars are really there for the staff. I think my visit spanned a shift change or breaks or something, because I had help from two staff members, both of whom were great. read more

this store made me so unhappy and i will never shop here again. i recommend that you do not purchase shoes from this store. the manager is very unfriendly and does not care about the customer. i purchased a pair of boots with a 20% coupon and had to return them for some other shoes, because they only had a size 6 and i needed a 6 1/2. she refused to honor the 20% on another pair of shoes, and said to me those are the rules, and said to me "if you want another paid you need to buy them without the coupon, because it is now expired" i told her that kohls will honor the coupon on something else if you need to return an item and so will macys. this store simply sucks. read more
