I bought a pair of $55 kids gloves for my 7 year old daughter. They delaminated And came apart before the end of the first day. I returned them to the store and was told "yes, they are defective, no, you can't have your money back. Contact the manufacturer." If you want rude staff and horribly overpriced merchandise that won't last a day of easy use, this is the place for you. read more

Love love LOVE North Face. Seriously. This store is no different, it was actually the first North Face store I encountered ever, prior to them really becoming commercialized and arriving in malls and shopping centers. I thought this store had a great selection of winter gear and snow-sports gear as well as an abundance of clearance/sale selections which were nicely racked and properly sectioned for size. This is pretty rare since usually you can't even be bothered to find a sale rack / item at a normal mall-sized store much less your size. Recommended if you're looking to pick up a few things on sale or have an emergency need for some gear! read more

I bought snow jacket and snow pants few days ago that cost almost $1000 and since the weather was not so cold, I did not use them. And decided to return only 4 days later which was never worn or tagged off. When I went to the store there was two young employees which greeted me warmly until I said I want to return the items. They told me they cannot do the return! I was suprised as I was not expecting that kind of reaction. Then they said it was the final sales and they cannot do return. I said I did not buy the items on sale and I want to return the items. Then they said only the store manager can do the returning and she was not there and will come back in 20 minutes. I had to leave at the moment and come back 2 hours later. I asked store manager and they said she went to fill her water bottle and will be back in a 5 minutes. We waited almost 15 minutes and she did not come back. I understand she needs break etc but it is unacceptable that she is the only one who can do a basic return transaction and absent without letting her employees know when to return. I asked employees to call her to ask whwn she is returning and one of the employee said he does not know her number. And since we were there already 15 minutes and did not know how long we have to wait the manager we gave them our number to call us back when she is back. When we were giving our number the other employee mentioned he texted her. My husband said I thought you did not have her number which what his friend claimed. It was an obvious lie. I told them it was the second lie they are telling to me today which is very unprofessional. We left the store and few minutes later store manager called and we returned back to return our items. Store manager returned the items but I had never experienced that kind of return any other store before!!! She examine the items to see if it was ever worn which was very unfortunate and bad experience from my side. It was obviously not worn but showing your customer that kind of attitude and feeling means that you need a good education to perform in your job. My recommendation is just buy what you liked from online and return if you dont like from online to not to experience this kind of attitude!! One more point that she said that they are minus $500 or pos $500 ( could not catched that part) today as a store to her employees while we were in the store? Should I feel bad to cause a negative number on their register to return never worn items 4 days later?! read more

As long time homeowners at Northstar, as well as regularly shopping in The Village, specifically at Northface for the sake of this review, I was beyond disappointed by the manner which GIA, the assistant manager, treated my family, today. We all understand that we are living during a stressful period of time, but after Gia's unacceptable rudeness toward my wife , children and friends, I will no longer spend a single cent at the Northstar Northface location. Gia's righteous/snotty tone while telling our party that masks are "required " not only indoors, but also outdoors in The Village, was stunning. Delivery is everything, and obviously Gia has not been trained in the most basic aspects of customer relations. As I mentioned, Gia's sanctimonious delivery has cost the store hundreds, if not thousands of dollars, annually. So disappointing and avoidable. Take note Vail, with your businesses suffering as they are, I would think you would be stressing the importance of polite personal interaction with your clientele, at the very least! read more

North Face has always had nice gear, but it's just a bit on the pricey side. I guess with the new village here they're looking to cash in on some of the wealthy clientele, which my friend is not. It was still amusing to watch him try and get just a neck gaiter and drool over all the jackets and such. read more

My husband and I were staying at the Northstar Resort and spent some time at the village. This North Face store is located in the village (across from the skating rink) and we loved it. The store had a good selection, but what made it special was the staff. Everyone had a good vibe. The person who stood out was Dasha. She was amazing. Dasha was incredibly friendly, helpful, patient, and full of positive energy. I did not feel pressured to buy. I ended up having to buy a pair of shoes to hike in because one of my shoes soles separated itself from the rest of the shoe. I wanted to look at almost every shoe North Face had for women before I made my choice. Dasha was like a cheerleader, encouraging and explaining the aspects of each shoe. She knows the merchandise! I made my choice and continued to look around. My husband and I happily bought the shoes and a couple more items. Loved Dasha's personality. Loved that we could look around without feeling pressure. Drove to the North Face store at the Northstar ski resort in Truckee this morning in hopes of recycling my old North Face jacket using their "Clothes the Loop" program. https://www.thenorthface.com/about-us/responsibility/product/clothes-the-loop.html They said they don't recycle at their Truckee store, which was disappointing. It was a sunny day, and the ski resort wasn't crowded. The North Face store is next to a Starbucks cafe. There was a 30-minute parking space the top lot in a "Copper Lane" space. read more

I bought a pair of gloves there, and shortly after I discovered that they sold me women's ones. I tried to exchange them for the right ones, but they said all sales were final regardless of the fact that it says return within 30 days on their receipt. Poor customer service.
