Andrea was the celebrant at my mother's memorial, and I recommend her unreservedly. She was warm, kind, and funny and so easy to work with. She did an amazing job with the service -- so many people reached out afterward to say that they learned so much more about my mother, and that they left with a better understanding of what a wonderful person she was. Andrea delivered a beautiful funeral service for my brother on 3/25/25. It was a very dark time for my family. I was fortunate enough to have found Andrea. I had sent her a message through her website. We spoke early the next day. Right away when first speaking to Andrea, I felt very comfortable talking to her. She was very professional. She knows how to talk to people and speak about people very well. She had asked questions about my brother during the call and through a questionnaire . She asked about his occupation, hobbies, his family , and other things about his life. She had put together his obituary and funeral service and she even lead the service. She was able to put the funeral program together in a short period of time. She also spoke at the grave site. She did a great job. My family and I appreciates everything she did for my brother. Our loved one believed in the life and resurrection of Jesus Christ, but he'd long ago grown disillusioned with the formal church. Hence, when he died he had no affiliation with a church home. As his family we wanted his funeral service to be a celebration of his life, but also touch on his religious beliefs. When we expressed our concerns to the funeral director at Forest Lawn she suggested a celebrant. We'd never heard that term. We Googled. Seemed like a good fit. The director suggested we talk with Andrea Schenck. A few days later Andrea called to set an appointment to meet at our house. On the ascribed date Andrea arrived on time, upbeat and positive. She got right down to business laying out a 4 page document filled with questions to help her flesh out details about our loved one. My daughter, who could not attend the meeting in person, teleconferenced in and she, too, felt Andrea's compassion and professionalism. Throughout the interview Andrea remained respectful of our sorrow as we gloried in sharing memories of our loved one. Within 1-1/2 hrs Andrea had all the information needed. Before leaving she gave us her business card in case we had questions or additional comments. After that meeting we emailed once to outline the order of service for the printer. Day of the event Andrea Schenck conducted the service delivering a eulogy so impressive and expressive of our loved one, family and friends are still asking how long she knew him. And yet they'd only met through stories our family shared with her. She highlighted stories of his life with historical facts, poems and bible passages.
