Pan dulce ( the conchas) are extremely soft and fresh. The sugar coating is crunchy which adds a nice contrast to the bread. The breads are shaped smaller than other bakeries I didn't like the elotes as much because they were a bit on the dryer side. Service is polite. read more

This Family Owned and operated small business is a hidden gem! Their customer service can't be beat! And their delicious bread is outstanding! I love going Saturday morning and smelling the freshly made pieces as soon as you walk in the door, and there's nothing better than having a warm concha with some hot chocolate or cafecito! read more

Pretty good concha pan dulce. Not some of the best I've tried but still well made and decently priced.

Love this place. Staff is very friendly and welcoming. Pan is so soft and delicious. On the weekends there is always a line upon opening. Also, they serve the best cafe de olla around. Perfect ration of sweetness read more

5 stars for concha's but customer service is dry and not friendly at all. I remember going in with my grandma as a kid and the older woman was so friendly back in the days. The man at the cashier now is so dry and has no customer service skills. It's sad this spot has such great history and a gem for great tasting pan in our home town. read more

My son bugs me to get bread on weekends so this is the place I love to get my bread,it's always fresh and fast service to. Not to pricey.

If I could give five stars to the bread, I would. We got the chocolate pan dulce, and it was very soft and flavorful. They have a few bread options to choose from. They have many bread trays, and tongs to use, but the tongs could use some cleaning. Unfortunately, though, the service sucked. Two men in the front, using profanity, and not acknowledging us when we walked in. I remember coming here as a child and being greeted so kindly, so the service today was disappointing. I would say I'd come back for the bread alone, but really hope the tongs are cleaner and the person who we see right when we walk in is a little more professional. read more

What a disappointment today! They were about to close hardly had any bread it was probably old but yet didn't even offer a discount and was rudely saying how he was about to close Needless to say I will not be returning This used to be my favorite Mexican bakery Too bad I can't leave a ZERO star read more

Bread is tasty and authentic. Unfortunately, the cleanliness of the bread trays and thong's missed the mark. Trays and thongs used by customers are not washed nor cleaned off between customers use. Definitely not a good practice especially during these difficult COVID times. Cashiers apron was filthy, and not due to food stains from cooking but just plain dirty from not being washed. Owner need to step up and improve overall establishment cleanses. Thank you. read more

La Flor De Jalisco - Where's the pan? It's only 11 am - Bakeries Near Me - La Puente, California

My family has been going to this panadería for as long as I can remember! I'm talking 50 years, give or take! Every single Sunday we'd go to morning mass at St Joseph's and afterwards was La Flor de Jalisco. My dad would bring Rita change for the busy day and they'd quickly exchange pleasantries while various ones of us would exit the stuffed car and get everyone's favorites! My dad would not let us eat in the car so we had to smell those warm bolillos and pan dulce all the way home. Everything they offer is delicious and it made from the heart! Do yourself a favor and visit this business! read more

I was looking around for a good panaderia and I came upon this place. They have a crazy morning rush but I can see why. They make fresh bread starting every morning and end up running out pretty quickly. Despite that, you'll still find a really good variety even towards the afternoon. They open early but close early as well so be aware of their hours. This was my first time so I got about 10 different breads. Each pan is about $0.75. I couldn't wait so I tried one as soon as I got into the car. My mouth watered. The pan is delicious! It has a unique flavor that you can't get enough of. The one I had was a mix of warm, softness inside but a crunchy outside. I want to say it was called Chilandrina. All of their pan is amazing and so worth it. The owner is fantastic and downright genuine (important to run a good business). He honored the "1 Free Pan" check in but usually throws in an extra on top of that, which is even better. You just can't go wrong here. I think I finally found my panaderia! read more

Wish I would have known to be here early on Sundays. Went in about noon, and they were almost out of bread. No menudo either. Their orejas were delicious. I'll be back (super early) Ps: they honored my free pan dulce for checking in on Yelp! read more

My mom went to get some bread and ask the Owner for some business cards and he Yelled at her so loud "their over there" she even jump because he scared her. She looked at him and said I can't believe you treat your customers that way and his response to her was "well believe it". He is always rude to his female customers but never expected him to be so disrespectful. They had an exchange of words he told her to get out and not come back. read more

Limited sweet bread to choose from. I went at 10am. Pretty empty. The bread was ok. Wish they'd have more selection. Don't think I'll be making that drive again. read more

Don't let the store front fool you! This place is authentic as they come. At first I thought it was pretty expensive for the size, but this is made from scratch, not like what you get at other bakeries or especially those big super markets. You have to get here early to get the bread nice and warm. Yes, maybe sometimes they open and the bread is not ready, but it is worth the wait. I live a few miles away and I would rather come back to get bread from here that any other local bakery. There are only a few bakeries I know in all of LA, OC and IE that make bread similar or anywhere close to here. You get what you pay for (most of the time), but I rather have fresh and good than big and mass produced. read more

Great pan dulce. Even better customer service. When I walked in, I was greeted by the gentleman behind the counter, who delightfully mentioned that their business was on yelp (not that I hadn't already checked in)! I grabbed a pair of tongs and a tray and headed toward the breads. Although the selection wasn't as wide as other panaderias (minus half a star), the customer service was beyond excellent (plus half a star). The employee seemed eager to answer my questions; he went so far as to explain that I had pointed to the slightly larger breads, so they'd be more expensive. I walked away (with my 4 50-cent pieces of pan dulce) from that interaction thinking about how pleasant and genuinely nice the employee was-- exactly what should happen after one experiences fantastic customer service. Overall: Highly recommended 5-star employees, pan dulce, & prices 4.5-star bread selection read more

This place rocks! Earlier this year, my husband and I tried this place since we saw this bakery had chilidrinas. Chilidrinas are a childhood favorite of my husband and they are hard to find! They ran out last time we were here! Although they were out, the owner gave us his card and told us to call so he can save us some. He also told us to take two extra breads/cookies since they had a limited selection at the moment. Those chilidrinas are their best sellers and they do go fast as well as their tamales. I really love their great customer service! We ended up getting two dozen of their tamales, chicken with green chili and pork with red chili. My husband and I got lucky because they were last red dozen available. The tamales were delicious with much flavor. The masa was.moist and had plenty of meat! After the first visit, we knew we would return for the famous chilidrinas. We made an early morning trek today to La Flor de Jalisco so we can get some pan and tamales. As we arrived, we smelled the fresh baked bread! They brought out trays galore of assorted pan. Of course, we stocked up on the chilidrinas! We also saw other people stocking up on many favorites, the chilidrinas were almost gone! We wanted some tamales, however the owner said they will sell them at the end of the month. We will ve back! The owner also honored the yelp check in offer and gave us an extra bread too! On our way home, we tasted one of their warm media lunas. It was so soft and fresh! There is nothing like fresh baked bread! This was the first time I purchased pan dulce fresh from the oven like this! When we came home, my husband and I enjoyed our pan dulce. I finally tasted one of their world famous chilidrinas. It was crunchy & sweet.on the outside and soft on the inside. I also had a pumpkin empanada which had plenty of pumpkin filling and toasty! Their pan was not dry like other panaderias, it was full of flavor! read more

There's no pan dulce like this pan dulce! Had the luck of getting my conchas straight off the warm rack today and boy were they amazing!!

Review is more for the service than anything - we came really late on a Saturday so most stuff was already sold out. The guy basically said grab whatever you want and we'll call it happy hour pricing. Then grabbed a giant cookie for E as well. People like this are why we try to support small businesses - we shall be back! In terms of the bread, we really liked all of the sweet breads (?, sorry first time) as they weren't overly sweet. Not big on the coconut flake things but then again I don't like coconut. Mixed reviews on cookies and other items. Other reviewers indicate tamales on weekends...will have to try. read more
