I bought tamales for Xmas day 12/25/25 and there was not enough sauce, not enough chicken and the chicken it did have it was thigh meat (dark meat) for the green tamales. She seemed unsure at times and had to step away multiple times to ask questions in the back, which made me a bit concerned about the order details being captured correctly. Initially, I asked for the writing on the cake to be in blue and pink ("Coming Sept 2026"), and she confirmed it could be done. However, I later changed my mind and requested the writing to be in white instead. She said she would update the order form, but unfortunately that change was not reflected when I picked up the cake. When I received the cake, the writing was not only done in blue and pink, but it also looked messy and poorly done, which was really disappointing for such a special occasion. I was tasked with finding a last minute wedding cake for my nephew. Luckily, LP bakery was able to accommodate. I went in with really no design other than maybe flowers and "just married" sign. The signage (Haylei & Nicolas) I had created myself thinking the cake would be simple but when I picked up the cake; it was even more beautiful than I had imagined. The taste of the cake was really what sealed the deal; I received really good compliments. They don't do marble flavoring bread so to say, so I had them do a chocolate bread cake and vanilla cake layered with chocolate mousse. I definitely think this will be my go to place from now on. I was really craving a slice of chocolate cake and finally found this place after hitting a couple other places that didn't have it. I finally found my slice of chocolate cake for $3.75 here. The chocolate cake really hit the spot. It was super moist and very rich. I don't have a major sweet tooth though, so the piece of cake was enough for 2 servings for me. The name here can be a bit misleading because the sign at the storefront actually says "Pasteleria Y Panaderia". They have an extensive menu, from pastries to subs, menudo, tamales, and a lot more Mexican food items. This place is a lot more than just a bakery, you can have a whole meal here. Service was very quick. I was in and out within a couple minutes. The person there wasn't necessarily inviting though; it kind of felt like she wanted to get us out as soon as possible. The baked goods are fresh, you get a tray and serve yourself as usual in many bakeries. Their menu is more than just bakery items, I ordered a torta. It came with a torta, Your choice of potato or macaroni salad and pickled jalapeños carrots and onions on the side. My daughter is not a big meat eater, she just wanted rice and beans. Needless to say, she cleaned her plate! My torta had everything on it, lettuce, tomato, cream, avocado, Carne Asada and cheese. The torta is so big I was not able to eat the whole thing. On the menu is also things like Menudo, tacos and also burritos. A wide variety of food. Super tasty, everything was fresh and they have a wide variety of drinks to choose from. This is an awesome bakery. About a 30 minute drive from my place. I decided to visit this bakery because they claimed to sell pan salado. If you aren't familiar with that type of bread the best way I could describe it is like a salty baguette. The pan salado is key to the culinary masterpiece that is the torta haugada from Guadalajara Jalisco, where I'm from. The pan salado sold here is not authentic but it's pretty close. The cornmeal was perfectly fluffy since it was fresh! The stuffing was savory and nicely seasoned. With the subtle sweet notes in the cornmeal and Mexican spices, it was a match made in heaven. To me, these are some of the best tamales I can get my hands on. The last time I was here, had a chance to try out the pastry and breakfast combination plate. Had the chilaqueles with salsa verde(green sauce). Sauce was tangy and had a nice kick of spicy. If you don't want it that tangy, get the red sauce.
