I love La Esquina! My wife and I come here regularly for their cafe de olla. Then they have Taco Tuesdays and the food just hits every time. It doesn't matter what you order, Everything is good!

I was craving a carne asada wet burrito so I came here, and their prices are great! Only $12.50 for a carne asada burrito and an extra charge to make it a wet burrito, also comes with tortilla chips. Service was okay, and the food was great. There's also a cute outdoor seating area outside. My friend got the California burrito and their Al Pastor is soo good!

Lively kitchen with delicious smells and upbeat Mexican music. You can tell this place is a favorite among locals. Prices are reasonable. Parking is easy. There's an outside seating area and a few spots on stools inside. There is no waiter service. I got the Calabecitas burrito

The food was not bad but I don't see myself coming back unfortunately. I will say that the breakfast burrito was good but the chilaquiles weren't great. We also tried the coffee and unfortunately that tasted burnt. It's also not in the best location so if you do grab something from here I'd recommend picking up. The staff is amazing however and the service is extremely fast. Food: 3 Service: 5 Ambiance: 3

4+ great neighborhood spot/ taqueria. Not a lot of seating - one of those places where you walk in order at the counter and either wait for your take out or sit against the window or one of the few tables outside. The folks here are very friendly and helpful if you need it. I feel like I've been here a few times and they have a great menu, but most recently, I came here for the breakfast burrito. Not a lot of crazy frills, just a good straight up breakfast burrito. It had the usual ingredients and the burrito is pretty darn big. So the value is there for sure. Comes with some salsas as well. Only gripe, and it's not a big deal at all since I don't have the eat them, but some of the chips were a little soggy or undercooked. Otherwise, the chips were nice and crisp and not too thick. The person in front of me ordered the chilaquiles I think, and boy did it look tasty. Was thinking in my head before I left: dang, I gotta come back for that... Parking is very easy since there is a lot.

I came here with my favorite dining companion after visiting a nearby thrift store. This was an excellent stumble across for a late afternoon snack. The guacamole is tasty and the chips are fresh. The hard shell chicken taco is sublime. There is even outdoor dining with shade that our dog enjoyed. The service is friendly and efficient. If you want an adult beverage, there is a liquor store next door to purchase from and have with your meal. Definitely worth a stop in your LA travels.

Corner little restaurant on Venice Blvd in West LA. Easy to order walk up counter inside. We got the breakfast burritos which was healthy in size and offered an enjoyable breakfast meal to-go. Decent salsa and averaged in menu pricing for west LA standards. Somehow easy to miss. Also, parking lot available.

Anybody know if they serve alcohol or have any plans to in the future?

I don't think they can serve alcohol as there ie a liquor store next to them. So buy your booze at the liquor store and eat at one of the outside tables.

Is there seating at this location ? Is it small?

The location is small and there isn't much seating there, but they allow you to sit at the restaurant next door. Apparently the owner of the Mexican grill also owns the restaurant "Almaza", which is right next door. So if you order to eat there just… Read more

We kicked things off with the queso fundido, and wow, it was absolutely delicious! Rich, melty, and packed with flavor, it was the perfect way to start the evening. For my entrée, I ordered the cochinita pibil, which was incredibly tender and saucy in the best way. My husband ordered the short rib, and it was perfectly cooked and full of flavor. On the side, we shared the papas bravas and esquite, both of which complemented our dishes perfectly. The drinks truly elevated the night. My husband and I both love mezcal, and Kateen delivered. I ordered the Valentine's Day "Zona Romántica," which featured mezcal and wine almost like a sangria, but completely unique and beautifully balanced. My husband had the "Gypsy Fever," also mezcal-based, and it was smoky, smooth, and refreshing. Between the food, cocktails, and ambiance, it made for such a romantic and memorable evening. We'll absolutely be back!!

This was my first time dining at this restaurant. The server was great, the food was delicious, and…read morethe atmosphere was amazing. However, the reason I'm giving 2 stars is because of the valet parking experience. First, I was charged $25 even though the sign clearly stated that valet parking is $17 for the first 3 hours, and $25 after 3 hours. Our reservation was at 6:30 PM, we arrived on time, and we left before 9 PM, so the charge did not make sense. When I asked the valet attendant, he kept saying, "because you dined there," without giving any clear explanation. If it is actually a flat rate for restaurant guests, then that should be clearly stated upfront to customers. Second, when I got into my car, I noticed that someone had touched the navigation settings because the compass direction and display were different from what I normally use. I do not understand why there was any need to adjust or touch my navigation system at all. I really think the restaurant needs to improve and better manage its valet parking system. Honestly, it felt like I was being charged a random price just because I was told, "you dined there." If there is a flat valet rate for restaurant guests, that information should be clearly communicated upfront instead of leaving customers confused at the end.

Now when you pull up originally you might think, "am I in the right place" but once you park and get into the courtyard, it is LOVELY! Amazing ambience! There is a bocce set up, string lights. It is a little slice of oasis in the middle of the fashion district. The restaurant itself - beautiful. I couldn't ask for more. Absolutely perfect in my book. Beautiful plants hanging, perfect Spanish music in the background (any place playing Natalia LaFourcade is a win). The drinks were great! I had the jungle bird which was fun. Food was so good too. The whipped beans are the star! We had the guacamole which was tasty, great tostadas with it. The arepas were good but the pork belly was a little too fatty (I know pork belly is always fatty) to the point the fat muted the flavored for the arepa a bit, but still delicious. The empanadas were great and as someone who lived in South America and ate empanadas every day, these really took me back to my Paraguay days. The squash blossoms were light and perfectly fried. Unfortunately my friends had gone to Funke the night before so they were comparing the squash blossoms and Funke won out, but they still liked Dama's! Small plates were enough for the 3 of us. The service was quick and attentive. Parking was easy for us. I will definitely be back!

The margarita flight was super cute and actually strong lol every flavor was good. Perfect for trying different drinks instead of just picking one. The asada burrito was packed with meat and flavor. The steak was juicy, seasoned really well, and the portions were worth it. The chicken taco was simple but sooo good and flavorful, but the Korean BBQ taco??? Yeah that was my favorite. The mix of sweet and savory with the sauce was insane. The vibes were fun, the food came out fresh, and the staff was really nice. Definitely a spot I'd come back to again. 10/10
