I ordered the steak tacos per my waitresses recommendation. It came with 3 tacos, refried beans, rice, and 2 salsas. The meal also came with fresh chips and salsa. To start, the chips and salsa were great! They were fresh, seasoned, and the salsa was wonderful! As for the tacos, they were amazing! The meat was tender, perfectly seasoned and came on house made tortillas that were tender and delicious. The avacodo sauce on top gave it creaminess but be sure to add the green salsa. It sends it over the top. The beans were fresh and the rice was great. This whole meal was fabulous. I wish I lived closer to go back.

You can't get decent Mexican food in North Dakota! OH YES YOU CAN!…read more We're passing through Bismarck and headed home to Texas. We're ending our two month motorhome trip to escape the Texas heat. We have grown tired of pub food and more tired of food that is not good. I Googled best Mexican food in Bismarck. C&T popped up. We went. We ate. We rejoiced. As soon as we sat down our server, Liliana, brought us chips and salsa. The chips were perfect and warm. The salsa was delicious with just enough "heat". Liliana was excellent and charming. We enjoyed a little conversation with her. I had chicken fajitas and my wife had enchiladas. Both were delicious and large portions. We brought half back to the motorhome with us. Liliana even brought us a paper sack for the rest of our chips and container for the salsa. Again, she was excellent. I am NOT one of those guys who says "I am from such and such a place and you cant get good such and such elsewhere. I will admit that good Mexican food is hard to find in some areas. Finding C&T allowed us to have a delicious meal after several days of bad. When we drove up, we thought this might be a corporate franchise, but it is not. It is locally owned. Bravo to David Mendoza and his family. They have put a lot of thought and effort on the interior decor, but more especially the menu. Allow me to say it is second to none of the Texas Mexican restaurants. OH! How could I forget...the frozen house margarita was excellent and large!!!

We were greeted and seated right away, and someone followed up with chips and salsa. The service was prompt, and our server checked in on us several times. I forgot to take pictures, but our food looked exactly like the photos already on here. I had the tamale, burrito, and enchilada combo. The tamale was outstanding; however, aside from the flour vs corn tortilla, the other two were pretty much the same. This combo did not come with rice and beans, which I feel is a staple, and I probably would have ordered something else had I known. My daughter had the street tacos, which were good but pretty ordinary. They come with a very hot sauce on the side, and I would have preferred something milder. They are pretty bland otherwise. Also, each meal only comes with one basket of chips and salsa. There is a charge for refills. I gave it four stars because while there were some drawbacks, I would come back for the tamales and maybe try something else. The menu is very large and has a lot of variety.

I liked those tortillas, they reminded me of tortillas caseros that I've had before in Cali and Mexico. The tacos were a reasonable price and size was very appropriate for the cost. They have a salsa bar with pickled onions, pickled peppers, lemons and a variety of salsas. Meat was just a little dry, but still not completely over. I had two al pastor and 1 asada taco. I definitely will be back for tacos and to try the burritos! The tamales, I wasn't a fan of. I usually don't like vegetables (bell peppers ) in my tamales. The pork meat was good, it was filling, the ends of the tamales were a bit hard/dry.
