Very reasonably food, good as well. Been there twice so far and enjoyed it. The servers are friendly and knowledgeable of the menu.

Went here to celebrate an occasion and it was such a damper. Service was good but food was a "Huge disappointment". We ordered Al Pollo pizza, ravioli(beef), fettuccini(veg). Each one was worse than the other. Our evening was spoilt since we were celebrating an achievement of my daughters. Even the wine they have on them is mediocre at best. Didn't taste like a mercato to me. Ambiance is also mediocre and we had flies flying around. Try elsewhere. There's many places in town that have better tasting food and a better wine selection. We made a reservation on OpenTable but when we arrived they said they cancelled our reservation because they had limited tables with the patio closed. We waited another 30 minutes for a table. The services was also really slow once we were seated. No one came by to check up on us during our meal. The food was not bad, more of a mid-class Italian restaurant. I wished they had fresh grated cheese and pepper for our meals. The portions were pretty small. read more

La Cucina has fallen from grace. The service and food and no where close to where they use to be. We visit La Cucina a few times a month, and the last few times we have been there it's disappointing. Our last visit - I made a reservation, we arrived and were sat at a table, a few minutes later the hostess returned to ask if we thought we would be done dinner in an hour since she needed that table for another reservation- she offered to move us (but I have two young children who were settled). We agreed to be done in an hour. We quickly ordered our drinks and food - waiter was pleasant. Our food was then served one at a time 10-15 apart - my daughter got her pizza, 10 minutes later I got my pizza then 15 minutes my husband and youngest daughter got their pasta. The food was fine - pizza is tasty but pasta was tasteless and I struggle to believe they make their pasta in house. I believe this is the first restaurant out of 90 reviews I've given a one star, and many factors were taken into consideration. I went with a group of friends for lunch, and we were all unimpressed. I had the canneloni + soup lunch special. The cannelloni was quite good, but the smallest portion I've ever seen. There were exactly two pasta shells. The soup was the saddest representation of the dish I've ever witnessed. It was described as a chickpea, potatoes, rosemary mix. Instead, it was a cup of salt water with half a spoonful each of mashed chickpeas and diced potatoes. Someone else had a pasta dish, and found a 12cm diameter plastic lid in the bottom of his plate. We imagine it is because the restaurant does not make the dishes fresh, and instead throws a proportioned out amount from a plastic container into the plate to serve. Our waiter apologized, of course, but there was no way the dish could be finished. The pizza was thin with burnt edges, and yet had a very soggy crust, wetter as you move into the centre. I really wanted to like this place, based on the numerous Google reviews. Needless to say, we will sadly not be back. read more

Cenotes...YIKES!!! Food was absolutely horrible. It was cold and not well presented and didn't taste even average. The seafood and Chicken were TERRIBLE!!!!!! The only good things we got in this order were a (canned) Diet Coke and a lovely piece of chocolate cake ($8.99). They added an extra entrée which we didn't even want and was supposedly free but then charged us for it. So, $35 for inedible salman pasta. So it was supposed to be free entree that we didn't even order that was inedible anyway. We are NEVER going there ever again. read more

Quite expensive, but has pretty good pizzas. Personally liked the Apollo and the shrimp spaghetti I ordered tasted great. Pizzas are large enough to fulfill one person comfortably. Pastas are in smaller sized portions. I think the consensus amongst my peers was that pizzas are the best here. Nice place for a lunch chat but personally wouldn't come again since it's a bit expensive for me (typically around $17-$22 for pizzas and pastas I think) and I'm not that attached to pizzas in general. read more

Solid Pizza joint. The place is a little dated, but it's spacious and the service is attentive if a bit overeager. We shared the calamari fritte to start, which was tasty and crispy and not heavy, and then my partner had a bufolina and I had a Saesano (? The meat lovers). The bufolina was delicious, if a bit light on the basil, the meat lovers was super loaded, which is why I had half and saved the other half for later. Not sure if I was the biggest fan of one of the sausages, but it was solid nonetheless. We were here on the Pizza special night, and the Shirley Temple I got was solid. All in all, an excellent neighborhood option for Italian, if not the best Italian I've had. read more

Our 1st day as residents of downtown Kitchener and we stopped here for our inaugural dining experience. Glad to see the patio was so busy! Drea our server was attentive, personable and very knowledgeable about the menu. She didn't hesitate to make a special request of the chef knowing he'd accommodate. Calamari was very good, would suggest a garlic aioli as an accomanpanment rather than a tomato based one. Our meals were excellent, Paesana Pizza and Veal Parmigiana, wonderful flavours. Smallest lasagna portion I've ever seen. Five bites, almost 30 dollars after soda and tip. Not even a side of bread. If you look at the photo you can see how small the dish is to start with. The portion didn't even touch any of the sides, nor was it even 2 inches high. It did taste good, but if I wanted to pay 30 dollars for an appetizer I'd find a Michelin star restaurant. 30 dollars. read more

The pizza is about the only thing that I would try if you have to go to this restaurant. Two of us ordered separate pasta dishes, and they were not very impressive, honestly the one (mushroom based) was something that tasted like a seatbelt (how our son described it). It did.... It was pretty much inedible. We got the orecchiette pasta with rapini, very plain, we actually had to ask for parmigiana. When we did, the server said, 'oh, I'm sorry, we don't like to offer any toppings, because we don't want to insult the chefThe chef needs a lesson on sauces, the pasta sauces were awful. Service was not great either, he kept avoiding our glance, I guess to avoid doing his job. Pizza's are ok, if you like a soggy centre. Worst service EVER!!!! First Neil was rude to us bugging and bugging for our order. Didn't tell us the specials. When I finally got his attention I mentioned to him that the chicken in my chicken Cesare salad was very dry and I couldn't eat it. He made some excuse and stomped off.
