Horrible experience. Waitress was annoyed when we ordered the Bocconcini Stuffed Meatball as she stated it takes 30 min (menu says 20 min) and would come with the meal. We told her wanted to take our time with our meal and enjoy some wine and an appetizer. We had to convince her we wanted it as an appetizer and therefore did not place our main order until it arrived. We did order a bottle of Masi wine for $70.00 (crazy markup) and it came warm like it had been sitting on a heater. After placing our main meal order my husband decided he wanted an order of cheese toast with his meal. It promptly arrived with very little cheese and sat there and got cold while we waited for our main. The waitress also informed us that she wasn't even suppose to be working and her behaviour made it clear she wasn't not happy about it. I ordered the veal with spaghetti and was shocked when my meal arrived and turned out to be round steak (beef) pounded out and breaded and the spaghetti was actually Raman. I love Raman and ate it but it was not spaghetti. Spaghetti is not curly and the flavour was Raman. My husband's fettuccine came out a blob of stuck together pasta with no flavour. Throughout our meal we were swatting fruit flies away from our food and faces. We never write bad reviews but we have never had such a negative dining experience complete with the attempt to blatantly rip us off passing cheap beef for veal. So disappointed Must add the waitress took my meal off the bill and explained they have been having issues with their supplier. We also called ahead to reserve for 7:00 but they said they couldn't get us in until 7:15. When we arrived we noted that there were multiple empty tables. Nit sure why 7:00 wouldn't work. We also wished we had taken photos as I realize this is an unbelievable experience. read more

This place is a hidden gem. Fresh pasta made daily. Owners and staff are extremely friendly in a welcoming atmosphere. Great value for the quality food you receive. The grilled Cesar salad is amazing. The pizza and pasta score a 10. Pizza dough is stretched perfect and that makes the difference on a thin crust. Exceptional service and food at this easy to miss restaurant. In a strip mall between a dog grooming place and a take out pizza outlet. Waitress Marion was fantastic, serving the entire restaurant that was moderately busy. Took care of everyone easily. Food was great, very good Italian fare. Decided to give Amica a try for a birthday celebration based upon the reviews posted here. Upon arrival was somewhat skeptical that we would have a nice evening as the parking lot and entrance was quite grubby with garbage about and a number of unsavory characters hanging about in front of the restaurant smoking. Was greeted by a friendly hostess and was promptly seated and we ordered drinks. We ordered calamari alla griglia and a garlic flatbread for a starter and for our mains, I had seafood linguini and my wife had the fettuccini Leslie. The flat bread was dismal with the bread being more like a tortilla than a flatbread, and the mozzarella topping was scant and not melted as one might expect. The calamari alla griglia was also sub par with the calamari being finely sliced with no evidence of being grilled what so ever. I was expecting a small whole squid with its body and tentacles grilled with charring and presented on a bed of lettuce. The mains were quite a bit better with fresh pasta and flavorful sauces. However, the seafood linguini was served without clams as they were out. I was informed that the chef would add additional mussels to make up for the lack of clams, but I didn't see any evidence of this. We ended our meal with tiramisu and espresso. The tiramisu appeared to be home made but was fairly bland with little espresso flavoring. All in all, we had a fairly enjoyable dining experience but the atmosphere wasn't the best. read more

Visited this restaurant after a good friend recommended it to me. I was blown away by how fresh the food was. It is a shame the restaurant is tucked away in a quiet plaza, the food is stunning!! Myself and some friends shared the Pizza Alla Diavolo - oven cooked and delicious. For my main I got the lasagna and OH MY! It was topped with a creamy béchamel sauce. Honestly, it was such good Italian food. I hope my review brings more people! I will definitely be visiting again read more

An exceptionally clean restaurant with pleasant picnic pattern tablecloths, Amici is tucked inside a quiet plaza blocks away from the busy Cambridge street (which looks like any suburban strip mall in middle-America (i.e., mall-gas station-billboard-mall)). We ordered a pizza Caprese as it was a hot summer day, and had bread with olive oil. Handmade Neapolitan pizza made from fresh dough, and fresh, hand sliced ingredients (cheese, basil, tomato), it was exactly what we needed for a light lunch. They have a bar with 2 tvs, but they also have cappuccino on the menu. Not much of a patio since all you'd stare at is the parking lot, however, they do have frequent regulars who walk in for a cold beer and sit to enjoy each other's company. If we're in the area again, we'd definitely come back and try their dinner menu. read more

Decided to try Amici to celebrate a special date. It was in a plaza, and didn't look like much from the outside. We did take-out since we're still in the COVID 19 pandemic. The pasta was excellent. We did the Fettuccini Leslie and the Pizza di Parma. The pizza was perfect, thin crust, Italian style. Definitely would do this again for date night!!! I literally just got in, from having a wonderful dinner at this place. As soon as we got in, the place was almost full, so it was Very Busy.. I sat at the bar and the lady recognized, that we needed seating and seated us in a private area immediately, which was great! They were very busy and all over the place but very straight forward and simple good customer service. She seemed easy going and cool, while attending other tables and bar area as well. The restaurant is not the prettiest but the food definitely is and by that I mean this is probably one of the best Italian restaurants, that I have been to.. the food is Delicious! Here is what I ordered: Grilled Calamari - it came like a bed.. on top of spinach, so it was delicious and had a nice vinaigrette sauce in it. I would definitely order this again, it's delicious and cooked Perfectly. Very fresh. Spicy Spaghetti and Meatballs - It was delicious and I would gladly order this again.. although it could of came with more meatballs.. Yum. Tarimasu (House Made) - It was Delicious and I would get this again as well. Cappuccino - Very good and I would order it again. Glass of red wine.. I cannot remember the name of the red but it was the top one and it was dry and paired well with my meal. My friend had the Gnocchi and I tried it and it was So Good.. Next time, I might order that? We have driven by here everyday for a year and always thought we would stop in. When we finally got around to it We were not disappointed! Started with the grilled Caesar salad which sounds odd but tastes amazing. I ordered the lasagna which was a bit dry but still tasted amazing! My hubby got the Amici pizza which is cooked in a wood fire oven and has a super thin crust. He loved it. We will definitely be back in the very near future and look forward to trying the whole menu! read more

Literally the best and freshest pizza I have ever had in my life. Period. Been back several times and sampled many things on the menu and have never been disappointed. Not possible to pick a bad dish. It's a cute little placed tucked away in a plaza and it holds some of the best tasting Italian food in the region. I still can't get over how fresh all the ingredients taste and will absolutely continue to go back to this little gem. We attended Amici for friends 65th. birthday party. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. My wife and I started our meal sharing fried calamari, my wife had the lasagna which she said was the best she has had in a long time. I had the seafood platter which was delicious. Our only complaint was that the portions were small for the price. I expected the seafood platter to be a platter for $23 not a small pasta bowl and the calimari appetiser was very small even for one. For a Saturday night they only had two wait staff on and were very busy as they had a trio playing music who were excellent, This happens once a month and probably should have had more staff on. read more

Been away a couple of months down south and got back into town today. Thought of stopping off for a couple of beers which turned into having a pizza as well. As an Italian that grew up making pizzas at a family run pizzeria and at home with my mom's cooking, I consider myself pretty picky with my Italian food. I couldn't resist the aroma from wood fired pizza oven, so I had a pizza and it didn't disappoint. Think crust, crispy and full of flavor. Went simple with pepperoni and roasted red peppers. Ask for the chilly pepper oil for an extra kick. Unfortunately, people around me got various pasta dishes which got the cravings going. Gotta come back soon for the fresh homemade pasta as good as my mom made. The food and people won't disappoint! read more
