Finally got to try something new during this quarantine! My gf lives in Georgetown and told me that Goodfellas had 50% off food. Since I was going to Georgetown to do some grocery, I figured I might as well take advantage of the deal. I also had no idea there was a Georgetown location. Had only ever known it to be in Streetsville. Ordering online was super simple. I ordered for a future time, so I could pick it up fresh, right after doing my groceries. Once I got there I entered through the front door. They have a little podium at the front with a plastic cover and a hostess behind it. She informed me that the pickup window was on the side, so I exited and went to the left of the resto and they had a window open, kind of like a drive thru. Which I think is probably supposed to serve like a drive thru lol. So very convenient. It was a 30 min drive for me to get home, so the pizza got cold but it was still everything you'd expect from a Margherita pizza. Nice thin crust, melty mozzarella and fresh basil. Although, soggy at this point, I still enjoyed it. The meat lasagna was super delish and a hefty serving. I ate half for dinner and the other half for lunch the next day. It was the perfect amount of cheesy and I loooove how there's eggplant in it. Honestly, it was a great balanced lasagna and the sauce was great. I would have liked a bit more sauce, so I could dip bread in. There was soooome extra sauce but not too much. Anyways, for both the pizza and and lasagna it was only $20! Both items were 50% off. Such a good deal and a great opportunity to try multiple things! I will defs be back, especially as long as this deal is on! The location in Georgetown is also nice, as it's downtown. Georgetown is a quaint little town with rolling hills and small subdivisions, and then there's the new 1 year old Godfather related here comes Don Corleone restaurant, Goodfellas. Lots of parking, rustic interior, but a little too pricy. I loved the fancy Italian titles for all their dishes, I ordered the Burrata salad with cherry tomatoes, prosciutto and 1 burrata, tasty $18, delicious. Then I had the Verdure (vegetable) pizza, which had dollops of ricotta cheese, tasted good but not appealing to look at -- brown, the whole pizza from eggplant, onions, and more brown vegetables $19, 12" size. Lots of varieties in appetizers, wood oven pizza, pasta and dessert options! Kids love their dishes: margarita pizza and pomodoro pasta! $15 each, cost more than other kids meal at other restaurant but the portion is well worth it! We also had Napolitano margarita pizza 12". A little bigger than kids pizza 10". Lasagna which come with side salad. It was delicious. I am still amazed with their service. Staffs were really friendly. My husband decided to pick up take out on his way home. He ordered the chicken parm and I hade the penne in a plain red sauce. Came to $36 with tax. There's been so much hype over this place I was looking forward to finally trying it. What a disappointment. The portions were extremely small. My husbands parm was a sad little piece of chicken with a eggplant & cheese on top. That's it. No side. For $19!!!! To top it off I had put in the Instructions to leave the eggplant off. I knew my husband would be hungry still so I shared some of my pasta with him which amounted to 5 or 6 mouthfuls each. I've had better pasta at a small hot table restaurant. My meal, and I use that word loosely, was $13. Worth $8 maybe in my opinion. Not sure what all the hype is about with this place. Won't be ordering from them again. Definitely won't be dining in. I absolutely loved this place. I was craving Margherita pizza since lunch time, and I've never ate at Goodfellas before until I heard someone tell me about it. Before I went, I had called in to ensure that they would be able to sit me. I had to wait 30 minutes before I drove over as large tables were leaving, but I liked how they still took down my name as a last minute reservation. I appreciated it. Seriously. So anyways, when I got there I was seated in a cozy corner with the side of the "wall" being a entire glass window which I thought was kinda cool. I was all cozy and warm inside while looking out and seeing how cold it was outside. Our server was quick and polite. Super attentive too. She got our order correct and fast, I was actually pleased with how she even notified us that our orders were coming. My partner and I both ordered Margherita pizzas, and we shared one appetizer which was the: Arancini Siciliani. The appetizer was AMAZING. Like when we first got it, I thought it would taste overwhelmingly like tomato sauce but boy was I wrong. It had a beautiful crisp with every bite, cheese inside with the perfect balance of sauce. I gotta recommend this as a appetitizer. It was a perfect start. When we got our Margherita pizzas, it was exactly what I expected it to be. It was the typical Margherita pizza, and the taste was exactly how a Margherita pizza was supposed to taste like. For our dessert we ordered: Torta al Cioccolato. I judged it and thought I would taste too much chocolate...especially dark chocolate which I don't like. But with each bite, you can taste varied types of chocolate, and the fluff of the cake layers. I noticed this place this past summer during the Georgetown Farmers Market and made a mental note to check it out. After our PDI for our home, I suggested checking it out since my partner, his parents, uncle and I were all starving. (Always bring the cavalry with you!) The interior of Goodfellas is really quite beautiful, and unique. Stone makes up a majority of the walls, with a mixture of ornate and rustic light fixtures running throughout. It was quite busy when we got in there, but we were quickly seated. Right off the bat, where they seated us seemed a little compact for a table of five to sit comfortably. We were tucked into a corner with the table right against glass enclosed fridge displaying cured meats and cheese - cute, but with temperatures approaching 1 degree? Not necessarily appreciated especially with the cold draft coming from the fridge. Almost as soon as we were seated, the waiting game began - my partner's parents and uncle needed to use the restrooms and our waiter (whom I will not name) came over to the table and told us his name and then disappeared again before asking if we were waiting for anyone, if we wanted beverages... nada. Very well, by the time they returned, it was our turn to use the facilities and they asked us for our beverage orders and they'd relay it back to our waiter. Great, because this now gave me ample time to go be a nosey parker and check out the replica Al Capone jail cell from Eastern State Penitentiary that I knew they had in the lower level where the restrooms were. (A must see, pretty cool.) By the time we returned, we were surprised the waiter still hadn't come back (??) -- about ten minutes later, he was at the table taking drink orders. We'd had enough time with the menus at that point to know what we wanted and quickly ordered the calamari, burrata, and two romana sized pizzas (the margherita and piccante.) 10 minutes, 20 minutes, 25 minutes...isn't this a wood fired pizza place? Don't wood fired pizzas take all of 3 minutes to make? Aha! Burrata at last. When we ask for bread to carry the burrata (which if you're not familiar, is essentially an extremely soft mozzarella cheese) he tells us there is no bread available in the restaurant - they're all out, zilch, nada. He's stumped when we ask him what we're supposed to spread this cheese on? Any other place, you're getting SOMETHING to act as the vehicle for this massive ball of spreadable fresh cheese. He mumbles something about going to the kitchen to find something... and then proceeds to avoid us for another 10 minutes until I am fully turned around in my seat staring at him with hawk eyes because I am so far from prepared to eat spoonfuls of soft cheese. We were ready to ask him to just put some pizza dough into the oven when he cuts his off and says, "look, if I could make you some bread, I would, but I can't." I hand him the burrata and tell him to take it back, we're not eating this. The calamari had a strange...gamey texture with it we weren't totally prepared for and evidence that the batter might have been a little too loose. (Still inhaled it because at this point, it's been 45 minutes and we are starving.) Finally, the main entrees appear and we're ready to dig in. We ask for some hot chilli oil and some chilli flakes - and we were essentially handed coloured oil that was flavourless. Okay. Do you have anything else? He brings a thick hot paste (which resembles pimenta paste) and tastes like vinegar. Okay, whatever, no chilli for this pizza that took almost an hour to make its grand appearance. Margherita was good, picante was well...not picante at all and the spicy warning was absolutely pointless and futile. More waiting time for the bill and the boxes, yada, yada, you see where this is going, right? Goodfellas HAS the potential to be great, but with lacklustre service, and an inability to accommodate its own menu items, it simply falls short. I think I'd like to give them another try in a couple of months when they (hopefully) work out the kinks and see where they are then - till then, I'll find another 'Italian eatery' and wood-fired pizza place to dine. read more

Recently had supper here, and really enjoyed our meal. Staff was able to intelligently discuss the menu (I.e., knew more than just names on a menu but how it was prepared, where ingredients were sourced from, etc). The food was outstanding, portions moderate, nice atmosphere, warm 'old world' charm. However, it is expensive. One appetizer (we shared this), two pasta dishes, one glass of wine, one (seriously amazing, custom brewed for them in Ontario) beer, two items off the dessert menu came to about $120.00 If you're thinking of having more than one glass of wine each, you may consider bringing a bottle of your favourite tipple and paying the $15.00 corkage fee on Wednesdays from 4PM until close (a nine oz. glass of vino will set you back $12.00 - aprox. three of those in a 750ml bottle, and you're saving all sorts of cash...). Were told it was a problem with the music serviced and there was nothing they could do as only the owner had access to the app neeeded to fix and the owner wasn't there. Manager declined our request to move. Appetizers arrived, one was eneatible the other just poor. Told the staff we were leaving and they could bill us whatever they felt was right. That was $60. I took my son out for a drive to check out Christmas lights. We went to Georgetown and drove in downtown. I notice that there was a new Pizza place Goodfellas. I fell in love with the stonework inside, and the appearance of the outside. We went inside at 9:50 PM on Dec 22, 2018. We waited inside the front door entrance waiting for someone to seat us. After 10 minutes I walked to the back and finally a man asked can I help you, so I replied do we have to seat ourselves. I would like to have a pizza. He said Sorry we are closed. So my son grabbed a takeout menu. as we were walking back to the front entrance, I was telling my son How beautiful the stonework and the decorator of the restaurant was, so I asked him to take a few pictures on my cell phone for me. Then the same man who said they are closed came up to my son and said to my son what do you think you are doing in an angry voice! I said that I asked my son to take pictures of the stonework! He replied you can't just do that you have to ask? And Head office needs to know. He said he could be very accommodating. Then in a more angry voice, he told us to leave and again said it time for you to leave. On the takeout menu, it states today the restaurant is open to 11:00 PM and yet before 10:00 PM he said they are closed. This person was very Rude and disrespectfully. So Much for trying a new pizza place, even though the stonework and appearance of the restaurant were very desirable, the staff has a lot to be desired. As I review others and see all the photo's I can't believe that that man was so mean, all we really wanted was a pizza! He needs anger management.
