Absolute roller coaster of a review coming in…read more Ok my girlfriend and I walked into this place last night- decided to sit on the patio. They were out of Birra Moretti which was disappointing. Its difficult to find that beer on menus and ended up having a Peroni instead. Got the Calamari appetizer. The Calamari was perfectly fried and was absolutely delicious. HOWEVER, the dipping sauce it was served with was terrible. It tasted like a Pina Colada...so much coconut. I dont know why anyone would serve that dipping sauce with calamari. It was disgusting. But even without the dipping sauce the calamari was still really good. We then shared the Italian Pizza. Man...I've eaten a lot of pizza in my days. This may be top 5 all time. The crust was so crunchy, thin, and perfect. The sausage on top was amazing- as were all the other toppings. Its difficult to describe how perfect this pizza was. I will legitimately dream about it. It is the pizza all other pizzas strive to be. Straight up- I dont care how far you live. Just come and get a pizza- do not hesitate. But why 3 stars? For one, the service was just ok. Our waiter was very friendly but he didn't come out to ask us how the food was and after we were finished he never came out to clean the table or ask if we needed anything else. I ended up having to walk in to pay for the meal. And also, this place is way too expensive. For one beer, one appetizer, and one pizza it was $56 before tip. I'm tempted to give this 4 stars, but for a dine-in experience its only 3. But still, go try their pizza. Its insane

Ordered pizza Margherita, not a good pizza, the dough didn't raise much at the edge of the pizza,…read morethe textual of the pizza dough was hard and too dense for a fresh made dough. This could be from frozen. The ingredient says fresh mozzarella cheese, it doesn't taste like the "fresh" fresh cheese I used to have, taste more like regular shred cheese. Not sure why there are additional diced tomatoes, onion and green onion there, I like the simple version that only come with basil, San Marzano tomato sauce and mozzarella.

The pizzas were dry, barely any cheese or sauce. The middle was undercooked doe, didn't even rise. The party organizer showed me the receipt with the toppings specified to confirm what was requested. It was by far the worst pizza I've eaten in Georgetown. The organizer contacted Pizzaiolo to advise them of the poor service and the employee responded there's nothing he can do because it was someone else that made it. Wow ! Safe to say 5 families in Georgetown from the party will definitely not be buying pizza from Pizzaiolo Georgetown.

No matter where I've been in the world and despite all the pizza I've had over 40 years, I always think back to Venezia Pizza. This place was the SPOT. I used to cut class with a friend or two and walk to Venezia to get a slice. This is the closest thing to a NY slice outside of NYC. You gotta fold that mofo in half in that thin paper plate then eat it sideways like a massive taco while bits of pepperoni and cheese oil drip down the channel of the folded slice. Just a legendary pizza shop that you can put next to the best across the continent.

Disgusted with the customer service, they changed policy's overnight regarding toppings and pizza…read morecreation. The once fantastic Godzilla deal is now a mockery of pizza deals. The gentleman on the phone tried explaining to me how extra cheese counts as a "double topping". With the deal you get 2 extra large pizza's with three toppings, I have ordered this countless times for Friday work lunches for my coworkers and I, never have I been double charged for extra cheese when it applied towards one of my three toppings. That's greedy and unacceptable. I tried letting reason with me but his sole excuse was "it counts as a double topping" I countered with "if cheese alone does not count as a topping how does extra cheese count as a double?" To which he replied the exact same response over and over. I will never eat at this location again. I watch my bills and receipts and noticed a slight increase in price over time which I understand due to the costs in business going up but this is a ridiculous grotesque violation of proper treatment of long time customers in favour of an extra buck or two. This business is not suffering so a policy change like this is just a money grab. Unacceptable, I'd rather give my money to business who cares about their customers.
