The service was delightful. Erica and Michelle helped us, and it really seemed like a team environment. Someone was constantly checking in. Service was pretty quick for a Friday night. The location is small, and the parking area is shared with other business and also has few spaces, so plan ahead of time. I cannot emphasize how delicious this was We got Botana Mixto. Absurd!!!! I decided to give @lacruda_mariscos in Riverside a try this afternoon. I sampled the Gobernador, a marinated cooked shrimp and cheese taco and the Tuna Sashimi. The tacos were tasty and good sized. I also really liked the salsa they were served with. It had just the right amount of kick. The tuna shashimi was a very generous portion, fresh and delicious... when you could taste it. It was drenched in some sort of tomato sauce which I didn't care for at all. For me, the tomato flavor overpowered the wonderful taste of the fish. The ceviche here is excellent! It is my wife's new favorite place to go. We order the Cocido (shrimp ceviche). Very fresh and delicious. They provide tostadas and crackers, hot sauce and salsa. The staff is very friendly and inside is clean. The only thing I would like them to change is the volume of the music. The oysters were incredibly fresh and clean, my dish had the perfect amount of spice and citrus, and my husband's pulpo was tender and seasoned to perfection. This place has the best mariscos in Riverside. It's hard to find good mariscos here but they do it really well. I enjoy their aguachile plate and their el crudo. Ask for extra salsa negra if you love spice, and as someone who handles a lot of spice (love habaneros and chiles) it will be spicy. I did notice this last time when I went (Wednesday) their plates were a bit more lime-y than usual so their plates weren't as spicy but I just added a lot of their salsa negra and tapatío to them and it was delicious. They do occasionally play live music but beware if they do that it is loudddd. Tried going with some friends and we couldn't hear each other speak because of how loud it was. Given that it's a fairly small restaurant when a band plays live it's going to be loud, but their bands also usually bring a large speaker that makes it impossible for conversations while they play. Love music, but not when I can't hear anything else. The parking isn't ideal either as the restaurant is in a small area with other popular spots, but I have seen signs that there is additional parking elsewhere. The staff is pretty nice and accommodating but occasionally you will need to wave them over because they don't check up on you very often. I like to order takeout from them and if you pay online it's a really fast process. I have also order over the phone and paid in store which is also a very quick process. Prices did increase recently and I took a picture of their sign on the door. Given that there are very few good mariscos spots in Riv, I will still be going until their prices become outrageous. Honestly though their prices were already a little pricey previously so it does suck, but again, they know where they stand with their competitors. read more
